We reached out to Gary after a referral from our tax preparer and he came to our house and discussed all the options and scheduling and we where so impressed we decided to have all 6 windows replaced and they even completed the trim on our sliding glass door from a previous installer that had not finished his work and disappeared on us. Gary was easy to work with and is very reasonable prices. He came to our house and double-triple measured our windows to make sure everything was ready for the install. We have a bow window in our front room that looks fantastic and my wife's cats have made it their afternoon sunning\nap spot. We had some delays do to the terrible weather in NW Indiana a few weeks ago we had to reschedule our installation but Gary's team worked with us and got all our work done in a day and a half. I would give them 6 ****** if I could. Thanks for all your hard work. PG

Their website doesn't give anywhere near enough attention to their incredible…read moreresidential/decorative stainless steel door options. I ordered five doors from them in 316 (vs 304) stainless because of a close proximity to salt water. They were able to customize things extensively, including window options, weather stripping and thresholds, handing (opening direction), frame depth and rabbet location (useful for elevator shaft openings iwth special code requirements), locking mechanisms and keying, latches, multi-point locks for security and custom surface treatments. Their price quote and engineering drawing approval process was very easy, but thorough, so you leave nothing to chance with regard to either unexpected expenses later, or unexpected configuration of your doors. Their excellent sales rep Jonathan kept me updated very regularly during the manufacturing phase so I always had a very good idea of when the doors would be shipping. My doors arrived in perfect condition and I love them. The locksets are all high end commercial equipment and these doors are monsters; no chance of a burglar or your mother in law kicking them in. Might not even be able to drive a car through one. Some additional advice; if you are receiving these types of doors for a residential project, you need to have a fork lift on site and it should have long forks; ideally eight feet or more if your order is for 8-foot doors like mine was. A typical roofing materials fork lift that is common on a residential construction site is not sufficient because the forks are not long enough to fully support the long crates Securall ships tall doors in; you could end up dumping your doors on the street with the wrong equipment. Of course, once delivered, you're going to need some stocky dudes to take these off the pallet and install them. An 8 foot 316 stainless door and frame weigh about 350 pounds, so these are not easy to just toss around like a traditional door.

We had trouble with the lock on the front door right from the start. It was really stiff, and hard to use. We had 2 service calls on it within the first year, but they didn't help much. For over a year now I've been looking at the ragged weather stripping on the door so I had a company come in and replace the weather stripping. When they closed the door it tore up the new weather stripping so they replaced it again, and had to put a lower sill plate in so the door would close without tearing up the weather stripping. This week that difficult lock finally just gave up so I called a locksmith to replace the door lock and knobs. The door wouldn't close because it was hanging to low on the right side. The locksmith drilled out the door frame locking part to enable the door to close and the lock to work. He said the top hinge on the door is broke and the door is sagging almost an inch on the right side which is what caused the problem with the weather stripping and most likely caused the problems with the door lock. I called Pella about the problem on the same day as the locksmith was here, Wednesday, June 24. They finally returned my call on the next Friday, and the first day they can send someone out to fix my hinge on the door is July 30th because they're so busy fixing other peoples problems with their products. If I hadn't had the door lock repair myself I would have had to leave my house unlocked for approximately 6 weeks! NO THANKS! The hinge will be free because it's under warranty, but they will charge me $99 service fee to come out and put it on! They want me to pay for this before they do it as well! Is this what they call warranty and customer service! Personally I think they will find that the hinge is okay, and the door is installed incorrectly. The hinge looks okay to me, but the door sags badly to the right, and always has! It just keeps getting worse over time! I just want to replace the whole door with a different quality door and quality installation! I'd put this one out at the curb with a big sign on it that says PELLA DOOR, A PIECE OF CRAP!
