I asked to have my deposit retuned because we wanted the deck for spring , but really needed it for a July 4th party and permits could not be pulled and we were going to have to go another route . The owner kept over 1/2 of our deposit because of the "work" he had put in at the town hall that day trying for a permit. We are now out 1/2 a deposit because he had to spend extra time at trying to get a permit???? Make sure he gets a permit before the deposit. If there are any issue with obtaining one you may not get all your money back... beware!!
