Then a couple of years ago they added an extension and added fresh meats, seafood and prepared meals. Prices of the fruit and veg are a bit more expensive but I believe their quality and freshness to be a bit higher than your Metro, Super C, Maxi etc. Also it's nice to come into a smaller store to be able to get in and out of quickly (with some staple items) and typically not the longer lineups. I have found that their meat and seafood are very expensively priced (we go to Costco)! The place to me is the perfect size of corner grocery stores (from an era in which there were local supermarkets). Now the majority of the supermarkets are so big and you don't need half of the items they have. Although price is a tad higher I don't mind paying for it for produce. For meat however this is a different ballgame.

Freshness of vegetables has to be somewhat questioned at times. I'm somewhat selective of what I purchase here as many of the strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and other exotic fruit don't last as long and are not as fresh. Also looking at their peppers (both green and red). They are not as cosmetically nice but this does not concern me as when you chop them up they taste the same! What's great about this place: - pricing of limes and lemons is rock bottom! -pricing of peppers (green and red) are the cheapest you can find. - selection of apples and oranges are okay but you need to test for freshness. - very good place to come for your other staples (broccoli, salad, onions, potatoes). Freshness is relatively the same as chain stores but cheaper. Overall you need to watch for freshness carefully. The good thing is it's popular and they go through volume! Mostly cheaper than the chains and selection and service is always courteous and friendly! Selection of some hard to find items such as oyster mushrooms, fresh herbs and different hot peppers plus some selection of fruit is quite good!
