I would agree with some of the other reviews here in saying that staff are incredibly friendly…read more However, the massive exception to that is their clinical director, Max, who should be replaced. I spent two days at Sana during my initial detox. During your initial detox, Sana insists on pairing it with what they call "digital detox" (I imagine this term provides them a feeling of legitimacy). That means that you will have no access to the outside world during your first seven days, and in my opinion, that is the most crucial time for support. Having felt incredibly alone and unsupported in my first 24 hours there, I pleaded to speak with my partner over the phone. In response, the nursing staff brought in Max, who insisted that I could not have my phone, and tried to guilt me into agreement by saying that it would unfair for my partner to see me "this" way. He actively used my withdrawal and detox as a way to paint my own emotions in his favor, without ever stopping to question my validity. After this interaction, I walked away for a short time to decide that if I could not address those lonely feelings, I would rather get sober at home with my support system. Max made it his goal to made it as difficult as possible for me to leave. At this point, he did instigate a call with my partner, however, I did not realize at the time that he had called her in advance to set the tone he wanted for the conversation, and then when the call happened, he would speak over me to make points to my partner trying to convince her to his side instead of mine. I saw this as incredibly manipulative, and demanded to be released at which point Max resorted to fear tactics. He insisted that I would relapse without his help, that I would end up in prison, and then went so far as to threaten to call the cops on me if I left (obviously without grounds). Finally, I was granted my release when I began to cause a ruckus, raising my voice to Max and threatening legal action if he would not release me. I estimate I asked to be released 50-100 times in those two days. While this facility may claim to be voluntary, I would recommend that you are 100% certain of your ability to both relinquish your agency for 30 days. If you do change your mind during your stay, it's unfortunate to say that you have to cause a scene in order to be heard. Unfortunately, this place has so much potential! Even now I would love to go back, but Max has got to go, and I will withhold my recommendation until that happens.

Lots of good staff and the food is good. It's peaceful but the rules can be bizarre, feel punitive for no real explanation. It's a 28 day residential program that's 100% voluntary but the rules feel designed for folks that are like on suicide watch or children. Many of the front line staff are in open rebellion regarding the overly strict rules and it shows. Half the staff left while I was coming in and even more put in 2 weeks notice. They are clearly going through a transition and I hope for the sake of future clients they work their internal beefs out and stop using clients to process their issues with, remember that it's supposed to be the other way around. The new big boss Phillip comes across like a car salesman, turns out he used to be one. Overall this place didn't hurt me and I picked up a few good nuggets of information about PTSD. I would NOT recommend this place right now but with some real tweaks to the rules and staff communication Sana could get back on track. When all is said and done it was a waste of time. Hoping they accept feedback and get their shit together. I hear very good things about the Nashville treatment center that recently acquired Sana and is trying to whip it into shape. Side note: they seem obsessed with "the four agreements" book which has some weird shit in it. Some good stuff too, just a lot to ignore for one to embrace. Talk of ancient masters and proficiency and victim blaming. I'd encourage them to put that one in the library and stop giving it to clients and having whole days devoted to talking about it.

His quality of life and self worth have increased exponentially since his time in Westbridge. He still speaks of the program often and how grateful he was 1. To take the personal step to better himself by attending this program and 2. To finally have found a setting that really helped tackle his struggles holistically and in a way that set him up for success not only during treatment, but after. My family is incredibly blown away by the quality of care received not only by my family member, but parents and sibling(s) as well. Their model sets families up for success. This program truly helped change the trajectory of our family's life. Westbridge prioritizes family support and education - we learned to understand more about our loved one's struggles, how to best help him, and the best ways to communicate effectively. These are lifelong skills that our family learned through this program. Initially there was a good amount of leg work due to negotiations and paperwork required with the VA, however, this program was worth every ounce of effort prior to his official start. It was a blessing to our family that the VA was able to cover this treatment 100%. The administrative team was incredibly helpful throughout this process. As a clinical social worker myself, I recognize just how much it takes to run a facility and program like Westbridge, and unfortunately for this quality and level of care, it IS a large expense. All of this to say, thank you to Westbridge for the fantastic experience from start to finish. Thank you for still including us in your weekly emails and support groups/alumni opportunities. If you're reading this, you won't regret at least contacting Westbridge to learn more.

Despite our family being in crisis, it took three business days and an agonizing weekend wait to get an interview from the clinical intake social worker. All required paperwork was submitted as we waited four more days , under duress, with no response. When I did follow up, the response was inadequate This program costs $30,000 a month ( they do take insurance). Suggestions to get a quicker response if you are in a crisis (1) Say that you have the funds to cover 6 months ( we said 3) and follow up every single day. Don't worry about being pushy.

If you are a parent of a young adult it is difficult to find care for addiction. We were forced to send her there for lack of options during a crisis. On the evening of her arrival it was winter time when she arrived at the New Hampshire residence and was taken there in the middle of the night. The next evening after she arrived she had gone outside to vape and slipped and fell on ice and hurt her ankle. The facility sent her to the hospital with no staff supervision or identification. She has incurred several medical bills arising from this issue and The Plymouth House refused to acknowledge this for many months and would not have their insurance company pay these bills. To my knowledge they were not even submitted. I had to get my family attorney involved and he has communicated with them in writing as well as email and telephone conversation. Well to no avail, we are at a standstill with The Plymouth House and their affiliates for merely asking them to assume their financial responsibility towards my daughter. As a young woman in recovery recovery, these bills are now on her credit report and they have affected her chances of employment because her credit score is something potential employers are looking at ruining her chances of improving her job circumstances. So please research the facilities you send your precious struggling family members to, They are out for themselves and I was also offered a discount if she ever had to enter treatment again!! NICE ! I guess they have many repeat patients!
