*Military friendly* My puppy slices open her head on Friday after hours and our normal vet was closed till Monday. Found this place and from the receptionist to the Dr. to the price I couldn't be happier everyone was amazing, they were able to see her Saturday morning. Dr we met with was trying to see if there was a cheaper option to help us out but decided to go with stitches. It's nice to see someone actually trying to fix the problem without throwing a checkbook at you. Price for: visit, putting the dog under, stitches, medication, and a cone was $110. Other places wanted $100-$200 just to see the dog. Will be talking all 6 of our animals here from now on and gained our business. Wish I found this place sooner. 5 stars every time. read more

We have been using Valley Vet for about 18 years. They are wonderful. Dr. Mike and Dr. Rachel are very good vets. They have cared for at least 6 of our dogs over 18 years. Last year we had to have our American Bull Dog put down. Dr. Mike came out to our truck to do it. He explained every step and detail of what was going to happen. He actually cried with us. They are very busy because there are not a lot of vets in that (or our) area. But I don't mind waiting because they are worth it. Conni Perteet read more

I was rushing my dog in for an emergency. As I tried to talk to the male half (I believe his name is mike?) He decided to be rude.... which isn't out of his character and tell he didn't like me... a young girl he's met less than a hand full of times... or my mother He then ran out side and got into my mother's face that had nothing to do with the situation. My mom hasn't liked this man since he left an open needle in reach of our 2 year old nieces/grandchildren. This needle was left on the floor outside my gate. After misdiagnosis of our horse might I add. He refused my dog adequate treatment. we brought him immediately to another vet that considers us family who gave the animal stitches in his shoulder, his ear, and gave him better medicine for the issue at hand. This man had no right in a time of panic to treat anyone like this. Using the f word like a teenager at my mother who is close to 70..... As a vet as long as we weren't bothering anyone he should have treated the 1 year old puppy that was brought in... His wife is amazing going to miss her. Rachel is the lady to ask for. Use to be a really excellent vet service. But, lately they have been plagued with computer failures, poor front counter service and very poor communication on policy and procedures. Ask different staff the same question and you often get different answers to the question. Will not be going back after our most recent experience where we were given different statements on shots, update shots and whether we need an appointment. Perhaps staff training is in order so that the same message and information is provided by each staff member. read more

So we are on the road for three months with our fur baby Abbey. She had a sore on her leg, and we wanted to make sure it was not infected or needed any treatment. We spend time at the Big Bear Canine Activity Center right next door, so this was a natural selection for us. And are we glad we came here. On a Friday morning it's a very busy office. But our wait was very reasonable. Dr. Mark took us in, looked at Abbey, reassured us that it was nothing and told us to leave it alone. And unbelievably didn't charge us a penny. We have been clients of Valley Vet for over 20 years. All my dogs, cats, horses, and donkeys are treated by them. They treat each animal as if it were theirs. My Australian Shepherd is 15 years old and still acts like a 2-year-old thanks to their excellent care. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

Where did good animal care go that we all used to get? I have been going to Valley Vet since they were in their old clinic. There it seemed like they cared about your pet. Now it's like they just don't care. They don't take pride in their business, don't care if they blow off a customer because they aren't close to them or know them on a personal level or just don't feel like doing the work, scream and yell at customers if they make them mad instead of trying to diffuse the situation, losing customers pets, hiring just anyone just because an employee knows them but has no idea how this person has ever interacted with customers before or any background with animal care. It's so sad to watch Dr. Rachel and Dr. Mike run their business to the ground like this when I know they could do so much better if they actually started to care again. Instead, they are just so busy they rush everyone in and out their doors. Do better Dr. Mike and Dr Rachel I know you guys can. Treat your customers like they're actual humans, who have feelings, and their pets are family. Do something about your employees they are working for you not to disappear for hours on end leaving you shorthanded or be on the phone tying up a line so your customers can't call in, your employees can't be losing people's pets, being rude to people as they walk in and not acknowledging they are there, put your foot down and fix this because you guys were great at one point and I believe you guys can again. read more

Don't bring your animals here. They will take advantage of you. All they really care about is money. They will even let your animals suffer a horrible death and prescribe medications to your animal that are not proper. This was my experience. Bottom line, don't bring your animals to this vet. read more

Dr. Rachel and Dr. Mike are the best vets I've ever used. Because they are so busy you may have to wait awhile, even with an appointment, but they're worth it. If you have an emergency after hours, they will meet you there within a half hour or less. They make "house calls" and really care about their patients. read more
