Half the teachers act like they're training Navy SEALs instead of teaching high school, while the other half give enough homework to ruin your entire weekend. School spirit feels forced, the Wi-Fi barely works when you actually need it, and somehow every event costs money. If stress, confusion, and disappointment were a school, this would be it.

As a parent, this was also extremely disappointing and upsetting for me. I watched my son put in the effort to achieve academic success, only to have his accomplishment overlooked during a moment that should have celebrated his hard work. Recognition ceremonies are important milestones for students and their families, and this experience took away from what should have been a proud and memorable occasion. Schools should have procedures in place to ensure that every student's achievements are accurately recognized. I hope Vista School takes this matter seriously, acknowledges the mistake, and takes steps to prevent other students and families from experiencing the same disappointment in the future.
