The truck went 193 miles before the transmission seized. From what I know now I'm so thankful it was not towed back to the shop we had the transmission repaired and it ended up in the hands of Mark and Owen at L&D transmission. We discussed the scope of work, indicating on a diagram what I wanted addressed. I was lucky Rus is very good at communicating what he was finding. He gave me the opportunity to make decisions along the way to keep costs down (or high in my case due to my decision to continue along expensive paths). Regardless, I had no surprises along the way. Rus sent photos and videos regularly, we texted and spoke on the phone when necessary. Rus went out of his way to be available after hours and on weekends since I was driving in from Vancouver. He showed me the major surgery completed to remove the rust and the reconstruction. His body metal fabrication skills are excellent. His body work skills are also impressive. The thing I most appreciated about Rus is that he is an honest, compassionate straight shooter. Although the work I had done cost far more than I expected, I have no doubt the hours he spent were more than fair. For each payment I made I received a full account of the minutes spent on each task. Rus worked tirelessly to meet my deadlines. He used the most appropriate materials and always kept me in the loop. This type of vehicle restoration is not for the faint of heart. I wouldn't wish it on anyone but when it's necessary, I can recommend rustoration auto. They have the right skills and tools to get the job done properly. A body shop generally is not equipped to restore the damage caused by rust. Body metal must be sand blasted or cut out and replaced. Don't be fooled by low quotes from an autobody shop, it's quite likely you'll only be receiving a spray over which ultimately masks the problem until it reappears much worse a year down the road.

Received the phone call after they scanned the car to be told to take it to a dealership and even if they could fix it they couldn't fit it in for at least 2 weeks. The question here is why waste a customers time and then scan and charge for it when we all know the next garage won't touch it without scanning it yet again. No more to be said.

She said she worked there but actually SHE DOES NOT! My brother had no will and the car was part of his estate that was/is in probate that could not be sold till cleared. They said they sent letters to the register owner who.... was deceased. They could not provide any documents proving they had permission to take the car. So now after many texts,emails and calls we find out that they have now put the title in their name. To get the car back they are demanding 10,000 in fees for storage in their yard that we did not need as she took advantage of an elderly person in a very vulnerable position. Please be aware of their very unscrupulous business practices. PS Even the owner Doug refused to come out to discuss the issue with us. They still have the car....now pending a civil suit

The fellow came out to have a look and he too sure didn't give me the "warm and fuzzies" that they wanted my business. Long story short - I took it down the road and the reception was far more inviting and I dealt with them instead. Now, I have the pleasure of having some kind person think it's pretty funny to key passenger door of my car. I looked at the ICBC list of autobody shops to consider... guess who's on it and who i WON'T be going to for sure!

Communication is key for me when I'm dealing with car things. I don't feel knowledgeable enough to know when I'm being ripped off, so I'm always appreciative of staff who take the time to explain the details in terms that I understand. They even covered the cost of a rental car for a week (conveniently located right next to the shop). When I got my car back it had been detailed inside and out.
