He had his assistant pushing me to hurry up and send him that info (as if there was any deadline from his end), and then he decided on his own to prepare a very detailed letter (that he supposedly worked on for two hours according to the invoice he sent me) summarizing old issues that had nothing to do with what I asked him to do. Only after I reminded him I never asked for this letter, he said he would adjust the payment as a "courtesy". I got the feeling that he had no other clients (even though he has an automatic email reply saying he's currently experiencing high volume of emails and workload, but he always responds to emails very quickly) and that he's trying to keep himself busy and generate sources of income for himself. So obviously I had to let him go. When I asked to get my $2500 retainer fee back, he sent me a bogus invoice, claiming his office had worked on my case for more than 9 hours!!!
