Valley Isle Resort in Kahana. Having an early lunch on our balcony (5th floor)

Lovely lovely lovely. The property is beautiful despite a little bit of construction going on during our visit. The first night we were on the 12th floor and for the remainder of our trip (one week) we were on the 5th floor. Insanely gorgeous beachfront views and perfectly positioned to catch the gorgeous sunsets. The crashing waves are melodic and therapeutic, if it is too loud for you then adjust the sliding glass door accordingly or the curtain. I can't recall a time when we have slept better and more soundly. Both units had wifi, Beach stuff in the closets (sand toys, *snorkel equipment and boogie boards), washer and drier, two beautiful rooms with two beautiful full bathrooms with gorgeous and updated showers. One had a stove, one didn't but the one that didn't had a microwave which said it had a stove/bake option. We didn't stay long enough to figure it out and the management company wasn't sure about it. One of our favorite features of the complex was the little brushy pond area in the main corridor, where two turtles lived and we even saw a hefty frog in there. The kids and I would walk by daily hoping to see everyone. The folks at the front office were friendly and helpful. The beach was pleasant and never overly crowded (at least during our stay). Unfortunately it was too windy to have any success with the snorkeling on this beach but we definitely weren't complaining. *According to other reviews, not all units have beach supplies in the closet. Our first unit had most of everything and our second unit only had sand toys.

No beach at this resort due to beach erosion. There's giant sandbags in front of the water where there use to be a beach. Great ocean views and sunsets from the balcony. The pool is kind of small. Wish they had a jacuzzi. The rooms have all the necessities like fridge, microwave, stove, washer and dryer. Stayed in a one bedroom condo with a Murphy bed in the living room to sleep a total of 4 people. Good location as it is close to front street and there are plenty of local restaurants near by. Right across the street is Dollies and Miso Phat and a liquor store. Around the corner is a McDonald's. Lots of parking available.

This location are all individually-owned condos ranging from studios to two bedrooms. Some units had their own washer and dryers. Valley Isle Resorts is located about 7 miles North of the main town of Lahaina. It's right on the beach front and every unit has a view of the ocean with a balcony. There is a pool, which we took advantage of during some evenings. We were in Room 909, which is a one-bedroom condo on the 9th floor. There is a queen bed in the bedroom and a Murphy's bed out in the living room. We ended up using the bedroom as storage space for our clothing, etc. and instead sleeping on the Murphy's bed. We enjoyed the fresh air coming through and the sound of the ocean as we relaxed in bed. There is no AC but it isn't needed. There was always a constant breeze and a ceiling fan. There was a small dining table, which I only used to fold laundry on. We ate all our meals out on the balcony. The kitchen is fully stocked. We cooked breakfast every morning to start our day. The breakfast restaurants all get very packed with long lines and wait times. We rather not have to deal with that. There is a garbage... errr.. rubbish chute down the hall on each floor, which is quite convenient. The recycling is on the bottom floor and items need to be separated. Overall, we were quite happy with our stay here. We met quite a few people from all over the world and it was an added bonus. Check-in was easy and staff here are very friendly and accomodating. As a side note, we went on zillow and one bedrooms units are selling for $525,000. Ick!

Stay at this place because of the location. Every unit has an ocean view. The beach is small but very nice and the water is warm with plenty of things to see when snorkeling. We enjoyed our stay. The view from our room made up for anything negative about the place. The resort has units that are privately owned and can be rented out through management companies and it also has units that are owned by timeshare companies - there are various ways to stay at this location. PROS: - During our stay the surf was calm enough for kids to safely swim and play. - The rooms have excellent views. Faces the west for sunset views. - Free onsite parking - Our unit had a washer/dryer (I bet most units have this) - Walking distance to restaurants and surf shops (where you can rent snorkeling gear etc) - Full kitchen with dishwasher in our room - Our unit slept 4 people (one bedroom unit with a queen bed in the bedroom and a murphy bed in the livingroom) - Friendly staff - Grounds are well-kept with a nice lawn area for children to play on CONS: - During our stay, the surf wasn't strong enough for boogie boarding or surfing. - Barely any amenities at the resort. During our stay they did not have chairs or umbrellas or beach toys to check out from the front desk, for example. - There used to be a gym but not any more - The elevator is finicky and broke twice during our stay - Balconies on high floors are a bit dangerous for children - Strong winds make a lot of noise coming through the building

Third condo in three years. Third time IS the charm!!! We're ready to book our vacation for next year in the exact same unit. THIS is what we've been looking for: location, views and simple amenities. Our unit (and the complex as a whole) is a bit dated, and the concrete block exterior isn't very appealing. But we both giggled when we opened the front door and saw the ocean, Molokai, and hardly anything else. We haven't had the doors and windows completely closed since we arrived a week ago. We peeked in other units and they look similar. We love the beach, have super easy access to Lahaina, Kapalua, Honolua and more, and are far more pleased than when we stayed at Black Rock. Full kitchen, washer and dryer, and a fine pool. They appear to be preparing to rebuild the reception area damaged in a fire, but the noise never bothered us. The ocean is THE thing, and this has it dialed in!

Perfect! Our Vacation Internationale condo was awesome. Very clean. The views are incredible, right on the beach. There was plenty of sandy beach while we were there July 01 2019. Even though there is not air conditioning, just know that if you open the patio doors and the front door( yes, there is a screen ) the breeze flows through. Keep the drapes closed during the mid day to keep the sun out. Pool is nice. Will definitely book a stay here again

First, the atrium is open between all of the floors in the middle. Consequently, noise echoes into all of the rooms with luggage wheels rolling, people talking and laughing or screaming. It is quite startling when dead asleep. Second, there is no air conditioning. All of the windows need to be open for air, which also contributes to the noise level. We thought it petty to charge for coffee after the first day of the stay. We had booked a two bedroom and were given a loft with a downstairs bedroom with two full beds. That too, was disappointing as my husband and I booked it, but felt compelled to give the other couple we were vacationing with the larger bed upstairs. Overall, the space was very spacious with vaulted celings in the living room and huge kitchen that was well equipped, clean, and had easy access to the beach. There are some lounge chairs available on the beach, inside the roped area on the hotel side, but they do fill up fast. There is a strip type mall across the street had a small grocery store and eating places, including Miso Phat. Good sushi! If you read this and stay, you will be well informed as to what to expect.

Biggest annoyance tho, was that our unit hadn't been properly cleaned. Some personal items left behind from a former occupant, and most of the dishes and glassware had to be washed before they were suitable for use. While there are plenty of fans, there's no air conditioning, which is a huge miss for a tourist resort catering to folks not necessarily used to this heat. Unlikely to return here. Lots of choices nearby, will go somewhere else next time.

The free valet was fantastic, and the room was spacious, clean, and had a gorgeous ocean view. We had an issue with our mattress and it was never comfortable. That was the big bummer of the stay. They replaced our mattress after we said something but it didn't fix the issue. When we laid down, we always felt like where laying way back like toward the headboard, feet higher than our head. It may have been a bed frame issue. It wasn't the worst, we just ended sleeping the other way. You have to call housekeeping to get service. That was super easy and they did a great job. All staff on site were wonderful. The grounds were well-kept, and we loved spending time by the pool--there were a few different pools, each with its own unique feel. Surprisingly, we went down the slide several times (haha it's not just for kids). Duke's on the property was a big plus. They had servers taking orders pool side. The food trucks nearby were fantastic, dealing distance away, and so much variety. they're open u til 8pm. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely come back.

We were taking photos on the property and then he bent the knee on the beach. Honestly, we had such a great time the first time we were here that we returned for our, super late due to Covid, Honeymoon last month. I love the size and location of the property. From the pools, amenities and the gorgeous view. The rooms are condos that come with kitchens, laundry and balconies. The first time we stayed we did a one bedroom partial ocean, but this time around we did a studio and enjoyed the full ocean view. The staff have spoiled us with some sweet congrats cookies that we really enjoyed. This property also has a Dukes on site which is super convenient. They do get busy though so we've just ordered to-go and enjoyed our food on the balcony. One thing I wish this hotel did have would be a cafe, or some kind of coffee on site. There's a market in the other tower, but the building we stayed in has one under construction. I'm hoping they put a coffee spot because it would be perfect! We love the location and feel when we come here and the included parking is a HUGE plus! I couldn't recommend the Honua Kai more and we look forward to more visits here in the future.
