Make an appointment w/ Mary based on Yelp review. Brought some Far East gold jewelry for an estimate. None were stamped to exact gold content and many were unique items. This made estimate difficult. Mary made the decision to perform an instrument (XRF) measurement instead of relying on acid test. Got much more accurate reading. Then She was able to make better offers as a result. While waiting, Mary provided many valuable advice on gold investing. Thank you very much for your time and service read more

I love Mary Beth at Valley Goldmine! She was so friendly and accommodating, she rearranged her schedule and made a special trip to meet me at a location more convenient to my place of residence. She explained everything to me about pricing, market-value, and what different markings on jewelry mean (she was extremely knowledgeable). She didn't make me feel silly for any of the questions I asked (even though I know some of my questions were). The part that really rocked my world was the fact that I received twice the amount I had figured (in my rough calculations)!!!! Can you say bonus??? So if you're anything like me and have a jewelry box full of broken necklaces, bracelets, and jewelry you wouldn't wear even if held at gunpoint....go see Mary at Valley Goldmine. read more

Mary met with me the same day I called. She was professional, punctual and easy to work with. She gave me a fair price and lots of good information about the process. I will use her in the future and recommend her to anyone seeking an honest fair price and top notch experience. read more

I decided to sell some gold chains I've purchased over 20 years to see if I could raise some spending money for a European trip my husband and I were planning. Valley Goldmine made it quick and easy. I got an appointment very quickly -- same day in fact -- and was put at ease. The process didn't take long and I walked out with more money than I expected. I'd use them again in a minute! read more

Called Mary for an appointment and got in pronto! Felt like I was talking to an old, but much younger, friend. What a pleasant experience it was. Mary answered all my questions and imparted much new information. It was an educational experience for me that I will definitely benefit from. Her knowledge of the industry is vast. She really takes the time to detail every item, which I truly appreciated. I received far more for my gold/silver than I had anticipated. I heartily recommend Mary & Valley Goldmine to anyone and I intend to spread the word to all my family & friends who might be interested in her services. I am more than pleased to have done business with Mary and hope to see her again at some future date. Thankfully, Anne B. read more

So I've only been here once, but I was so impressed (and grateful) that I had to write about what happened. I came in without an appointment, and Mary met me at her first available time, about an hour and a half later. She was cordial and friendly, and explained to me everything she was doing as she inspected the gold ring I gave her. She quoted me an offer, but then insisted that I take it to a local pawn shop first, where I would almost certainly be able to acquire more money for it. She even gave me a dollar amount that I should insist upon at the pawn shop, and explained what the retail value was that the pawn shop would be able to sell it for. She told me that If they didn't take the ring, or offered me an amount lower than hers, I should bring it right back and she would buy it off me. Skeptical at first that this would be a waste of time, but armed with the knowledge she had given me, I went to the pawn shop (Mary even drew me a map to get there), Mary's advice paid off and I walked away with a dollar amount higher than I would have gotten from her! Mary forsook her own profit in order that I might increase mine, and that's why I'm sitting here writing this review after only one visit. What an amazing experience because of an amazing woman! I fully vouch for her honesty; she is not the kind to try to rip you off. If you have gold to sell, go to Mary first, then take her advice, whatever it is! read more

When you think of gold buyers, you think of the sun baked, headphone wearing middle aged men flipping and twirling signs around and about advertising "We Buy Gold!" on the corner. You think of the crooked smile with missing teeth, grinning at you over the counter of an EZ PAWN. That is not at all the demeanor of Valley Goldmine. They are professional, accomodating, honest and most importantly, fair. I met with Mary from Vally Goldmine today, 05/14/2013, and I was very impressed with the service I received. I contacted Valley Goldmine 05/13/2013 to inquire on selling a pure gold Kruggerand I had inherited, because I needed the extra cash. While Valley doesn't typically deal in just coinage, Mary went out of her way to assist me. I was referred to a reputable gold buyer in Mesa, AZ that Valley places a deal of trust into, but the logistics and scheduling didn't work out. Mary met with me personally and privately simply to buy the coin for what it was worth and gave me quite a good price for it. The transaction was subtle, private and not at all intimidating. I was led to this company by other shining reviews on Yelp.com, and I must say, there is reason for such reviews. I would highly recommend anybody interested in selling off old jewelery or coinage to do so with Valley Goldmine. read more

I had a VERY positive experience with Mary and Valley Goldmine. I had some old gold jewelry left over from my big hair days in the 80's I was looking to sell. I did my research and checked out about a dozen gold buyers in the east valley. Valley Goldmine blew their competitors away. First, Mary returned my initial email with a friendly phone call. We set up an appointment to meet at their Chandler location the next day. I am always skeptical so I brought a few selected items (I used the same items to get quotes from 3 other dealers). Mary was pleasant, honest, and very knowledgeable. Her quote to me for my few items was about $150 more than the other sellers I had met with. She cut me a check right on the spot. I deposited that day and the funds were available the next morning. I had such a great experience I have used Valley Goldmine twice more. I highly recommend Mary and Valley Goldmine! I will definitely use them again! read more

Legit place. For years, I used to sell all my precious metals to Don Demarest at the Antique Centre in Scottsdale, but the shop closed down a couple of years ago and I had to locate another vendor. After doing a bit of research, I contacted Valley Goldmine since they had the best reputation among all the gold buyers I looked into locally. They are by appointment only, but I managed to get an appointment the same day I called and walked out with a check for a few hundred bucks. Valley Goldmine is up front about how much they pay, percentage wise. They payout better than most places locally and to get more you'd probably have to mail your gold to one of the online dealers. Who really wants to do that? I had a good experience with them and would recommend them as an honest dealer. read more

i had a really great experience with Michael on my first visit at cooper crossings and enjoyed his business, learned a few things and was very elated that the set of jewelry i brought in was worth more than what Gold Stash told me it was worth. Gold stash quoted me 235.00 and without telling Mike cause i wanted to make sure he doesn't rip me off lol cause i didn't know him. He flat out said oh you got about 575.00 worth of jewelries here are you interested in selling them? i said of course, i needed it for my daughters baby supplies. i came back the following weekend and met with Mary. Brought my mother in law in and we were excited to find out that the jewelries she had laying around were worth 1150.00. Thank you so much to VAlley Goldmine. We will definitely come back without hesitation. Been to too many places before even the ones my family usually goes to for 15 years now VAlley Gold mine treated us better. They didn't rip me off. I love the, Mike and Mary are very pleasant, friendly and trushworthy. read more

I recently met with Mary at Valley Goldmine. The experience was exceptional. I had purchased a necklace at a garage sale that was marked 14k and thought this holiday season was going to be great. However, what I bought was not real gold and barely had enough silver in it to be worth anything at all. Mary was wonderful about the whole thing. I thought I had wasted her time but she was more than gracious. I would definitely give her a call should I decide to sell anything else and would highly recommend her to family and friends. My mother joined in our meeting and is very knowledgeable about gold and jewelry. She, in turn, also felt that Mary was a joy to meet and would certainly recommend her to anyone looking to sell. Thank you Mary and Happy Holidays to you and your family. read more

I was nervous to sell gold as it was my first time. Mary was very professional and explained to me all the different qualities of gold while she tested my gold. She also is very knowledgeable about gemstones. She needed to take a stone out of one of my rings and promised to mail it back to me. I was a bit leery of allowing a stranger take an heirloom diamond and mail it back. However, within days I received a text that my diamond was in the mail. Mary did a great job and I felt I was paid fairly for what I turned in I loved the fact that I walked out with a check that surpassed my expectations. I highly recommend Valley Goldmine! read more
