So I've only been here once, but I was so impressed (and grateful) that I had to write about what happened. I came in without an appointment, and Mary met me at her first available time, about an hour and a half later. She was cordial and friendly, and explained to me everything she was doing as she inspected the gold ring I gave her. She quoted me an offer, but then insisted that I take it to a local pawn shop first, where I would almost certainly be able to acquire more money for it. She even gave me a dollar amount that I should insist upon at the pawn shop, and explained what the retail value was that the pawn shop would be able to sell it for. She told me that If they didn't take the ring, or offered me an amount lower than hers, I should bring it right back and she would buy it off me. Skeptical at first that this would be a waste of time, but armed with the knowledge she had given me, I went to the pawn shop (Mary even drew me a map to get there), Mary's advice paid off and I walked away with a dollar amount higher than I would have gotten from her! Mary forsook her own profit in order that I might increase mine, and that's why I'm sitting here writing this review after only one visit. What an amazing experience because of an amazing woman! While Valley doesn't typically deal in just coinage, Mary went out of her way to assist me. I was referred to a reputable gold buyer in Mesa, AZ that Valley places a deal of trust into, but the logistics and scheduling didn't work out. Legit place. For years, I used to sell all my precious metals to Don Demarest at the Antique Centre in Scottsdale, but the shop closed down a couple of years ago and I had to locate another vendor. After doing a bit of research, I contacted Valley Goldmine since they had the best reputation among all the gold buyers I looked into locally. They are by appointment only, but I managed to get an appointment the same day I called and walked out with a check for a few hundred bucks. Valley Goldmine is up front about how much they pay, percentage wise. They payout better than most places locally and to get more you'd probably have to mail your gold to one of the online dealers. She also showed us each test they use to verify the quality If my pieces. And more importantly she preformed each test directly in front of me. Not in a back room or behind a privacy devider. i had a really great experience with Michael on my first visit at cooper crossings and enjoyed his business, learned a few things and was very elated that the set of jewelry i brought in was worth more than what Gold Stash told me it was worth. Gold stash quoted me 235.00 and without telling Mike cause i wanted to make sure he doesn't rip me off lol cause i didn't know him.
