Had multiple appointments over the past year. The doctor took a wait and see attitude when it came to the sore on my eyelid. After the 2nd visit and no improvement with the sore, the doctor should've referred me to an eye specialist. Finally, after the 4th visit and with me wanting to know more about the sore, the doctor agreed to refer me to a specialist. He wanted to send me to a local doctor and I demanded that he refer me to the OSU Wexner Eye Clinic. Withing five minutes of entering the patient room at OSU, Dr. Cho diagnosed the sore as basal cell carcinoma. He immediately scheduled a biopsy for me while I was there and the lab results confirmed it the next day. I lost a year waiting for VEI to diagnose the sore on my eyelid where OSU diagnosed it within minutes. Also, every visit took over an hour with one appointment taking over an hour and a half. I highly recommend everyone to reevaluate going to doctors that are too cautious and hesitant about referring patients to a specialist and/or requesting a biopsy to find out the root cause of a sore. read more
