Valley was recommended to me by a friend who used to sell insurance and had worked with them before with good results. My initial contact with them was good, they came and surveyed the damage after a natural disaster flood, and said they would get an estimate to repair the damage to me within a day or so. That was 8 days ago. I left 2 voicemails and at least one message with a person and they have not called me back. The claims adjuster was also unable to get in touch with someone to get an estimate. It may not be that big of a job, but who turns down money???? Completely disgusted with the lack of communication, even after I asked them to just tell me if they don't have time to do it. On Saturday, Sept 21 we had a pipe break. On Monday we called Valley and they responded quickly by sending out an employee on Tuesday. We agreed that the first crew to demo would be out that Friday. Well, half the crew that was to come one was sick, and they'll send someone on Monday. Then, most of the crew was out ill. All this time we have bee trying to get a schedule of work so we can plan accordingly. We have 2 large dogs, one of which needs to be sedated. Finally on Tuesday, they came out to do the demo and it took another 3 days for the trash to be picked up. It took the adjuster to get that done. Friday snowed so we didn't think anyone would be out. This morning they were to be here between 8 and 8:30 am.....I just got a call they are on their way. I do have to say that when I call a few times or send an email something seems to happen. We need a plan of action. Who is doing what when? When will they be in to demo the upstairs bath? Who chooses the new flooring and when? The paint? Questions and answers! I know they probably need some kind of 'okay" from the insurance company, but please.......can't we come to an agreement on what is to be done and a timeline? I would select no stars if that were an option. Basement flooded Thur eve due to small fracture in pipe leading to external faucet. Valley doesn't have 24/7 call back service service so I left a message hoping to get a response the next morning. No response. Called at 8am and no response so left another message. Called at 9:30 and talked to receptionist who said Steve was in a meeting and would call me right back. No call back. I called again at noon and no response the rest of the day or at all the following days. I called Water Extraction Experts and they were extremely responsive, helpful and professional but I had lost two days waiting for Valley. Don't waste your time calling Valley despite their local TV commercials. Valley, if you're reading this, please make customer service and timely response your highest priority followed by quality work. If you'll only deal with large contracts, then change your advertising to target and quit wasting homeowners time. Time is precious when dealing with water damage no matter what the size of the customers home. read more
