I love dr Al and have been his patient about 15 years. I have a problem now though. This office is jumping on the growing trend to add surcharges when you pay by card period. The problem? They can't legally do it for all cards. Surcharges for using visa and Mastercard DEBIT is illegal under federal law regardless of whether it's processed as debit or credit. They cannot charge convenience fees on these cards either. I am tired of businesses not knowing the legality of this or just hoping consumers won't know. Please report it to visa/mastercard, there is a form you can fill out. read more

HOWEVER it is impossible to get in touch with ANYONE or even my psychiatrist directly. i've called numerous times in the past two weeks, leaving voicemails, different times of the day, everything, and no one has gotten back to me. this is not the first time either. it is ridiculous ! any encounter i've had, in person, with the front office staff has seemed like i'm interrupting them... they come off extremely rude and no knowledge to help me with any questions. very strange and disappointing. read more

I have been seeing Michelle Pratt for years and she is very good at what she does. She is smart, thorough, empathetic and makes a real effort to figure out the best treatment possible. She takes the time to listen to my current situation and tries to help me differentiate between life problems and medication issues. It is important to note that she is a psychiatric nurse practitioner and therefore prescribes medication. Just like other psychiatrists and PNPs, she does not really practice therapy. For therapy, you have to see a therapist. Hopefully this clears up any confusion about how services are provided. That said, she gives me more time than I have received with other psychiatrists and PNPs. With regard to the many complaints on here about the office staff, it can sometimes be difficult to get ahold of them quickly. You just have to leave a message and they will get back to you, most likely the same day or sometimes next day. it is also helpful to learn how to use the online patient portal for sending messages regarding medication. I'm sure that some of the complaints on here are legitimate with regard to the office staff or other practitioners. (I have never had any problem with Nurse Pratt.) However, I would imagine that some of the complaints are from people wanting IMMEDIATE attention and presenting with a high level of drama and that just isn't usually realistic. If you are really in crisis, you may need to go to the hospital, although I would only do that if you are in danger of hurting yourself or someone else. A hospitalization is not a casual thing. When you have an upcoming appointment, make notes of everything you need to discuss so that you don't forget anything. I have been to many psychiatrists over the years and this practice is better than or equal to others that I have seen. read more

The staffing here are appalling, unprofessional, very unkind people. BEWARE. I was hung-up on by the Billing Manager as well as the Office Manager Shannon Marsh for asking for a more affordable payment plan after being sent a large statement for multiple sessions instead of being sent bills after each session. As someone with mental health issues, I was not treated kindly by staff. You would assume, working in the mental health field, they would have patience, understanding, and treat you with respect. People seeking help deserve better from this owner and their business. read more

I had my first appointment today and it honestly went really well. I was a little concerned by all the bad reviews but wanted to still give them a try so I had a personal experience and wasn't just going off of what others have said.... I called to schedule my first appointment and I did have to leave a voicemail but did get a return call the NEXT day... they got me scheduled for my appointment and told me about the required $25 drug screen that every patient has to take and it can't be billed through insurance (so keep that in mind going in). I saw Dr. Eaton and she was super helpful, listened, and seemed sympathetic. She was very helpful and didn't seem dismissive like the Dr's I have seen in the past. She did mention it can be hard to get ahold of the office, for whatever reason, and did give me her email incase I had any questions and had a hard time reaching the office. Overall, it was a really good experience. I had no issues with the office staff and everyone seemed nice and polite. I hope all this helps someone! (My referring Dr did let me know that they can be VERY hard to get ahold of on the phone so you may have to go in person to actually talk to someone and schedule an appointment so I had that in the back of my mind going into this but this was not the case for me) read more

My son had a telehealth appointment with Tanya earlier today. I give her one star only because I can't give negative stars. She knew nothing about any of the medications my son was currently taking. Had to search everything. I was Googling and giving her answers before she got them. I had completed all of the paperwork with details about my son's current medication list, and she asked me to repeat everything instead of "going back a few pages". I was not at a place where it was easy to get the medications. She asked him no more than 5 questions, then flippantly decided to prescribe a medicine without even getting to know him or understand the full picture. She rattled off two possible medicines and asked if he had ever taken them. I didn't recognize the name, so I asked if they were generic for anything...to which she had to LOOK UP. She gave false information about medication (once stating that the lowest dosage of Focalin is 5mg...that's bologna, as the prescription he currently has is 2.5 mg). I will not be filling the prescription she gave and will not be returning. I won't even start about the front office staff...Oh. My. Word. HORRIBLE. read more

I have been going to this Dr's office for about 2 yrs. And I have full coverage BCBS. They started saying I owed them so much money where I always paid my copay's and paid 200$ multiple times! And last week they said I owed 255$ and recently I was hit by a drunk driver and don't have a car therefore not able to work and I cannot make the 255 so they kicked me out. I called up there to have them send me a sheet of my billing and what I owe. The documents say I only owe 163 well I went back to my Blue Cross Blue Shield app and found that all of my visits were covered besides three and all of my drug screens were paid every month and covered completely so that was extra $25 that they got in their pockets, so just pay attention. I have a lot of friends that go there that say they also have had to pay $200 a month with full coverage insurance so just make sure that you are attentive and pay attention to your billing statements and make sure to see how much your insurance coverage claims. When you're going to the doctor and you're getting the prescriptions that you need, you don't ever think that they could be taken advantage of you and your wallet. I'm grateful for their telemedicine option they've added where it's appointment via video chat, and it's been really beneficial for me. However as someone else stated, they're terrible at answering the phones/communication. My doctor is really kind and understanding (Sarah Miller), and I LOVE her. But I've considered moving offices solely because when I need to get in contact with them whether it's calling the office, trying to make an appointment, trying to cancel an appointment, change information on file, or trying to figure out why no ones called me and my appointment was 20-30 minutes ago, it's extremely hard. And I've left voicemails before, they still don't return the call, no matter how much time has passed. As far as helping with mental health, I've had a good experience. But communication with the building?? Absolutely terrible. And I live 30 minutes out, so I'm not as willing to drive up to the facility just to get an answer, and usually not able, if I didn't have an in-person appointment scheduled. read more

I had an appointment over the phone and the ladies took my copay prior to the appointment. I called 30 minutes past waiting and they said they would try to contact him but I have a job and can't wait past time. I tried to reschedule after waiting a half hour past my time and they said they would charge me an $80 late cancelation fee? When he was the irresponsible one? I kept my appointment and ended up waiting 2 hours only to be the one to call THEM asking where he was and they said he might have ran over. There's no way he ran over 2 hours with one patient. They are completely making excuses for the fact that HE FORGOT ABOUT ME and they REFUSED to give me a refund for the copay!!! Absolutely unprofessional business and these doctors forget about you just like you fear they don't care about you in the beginning, THEY DON'T! And the office manager SHANNON 1.) Hung up on me and 2.) proceeded to have her employees just keep me on hold instead of transferring me to her! Don't see Keith Watts. Them withholding my money for a service I DID NOT RECEIVE is absolutely unauthorized and illegal. I saw Michelle Pratt for a while, she really helped me. EXCEPT I rescheduled an appointment & was told all I had to do was pay the cancellation fee. I've been calling and leaving messages & No one calls back. I messaged in the portal & was told I was terminated for rescheduling my appointment that i couldn't pay for at the time. So now I know longer can get my medication that i need to take daily. If you were thinking about coming here, don't. they only care about money, not your mental health. Very dissatisfied. I read the reviews on Michelle Pratt, PMHNP, CRNP. I picked her because she listed Cognitive Behavior Therapy as one of her treatment approaches, and that she accepted Medicare. When I arrived to my appointment, I was told that all new patients would have to take a urinalysis and that would be a $25 fee. I was not happy about not being told that prior to my appointment. It did not feel very supportive. It felt suspicious. I began to think I had made a mistake by choosing this therapist. I wondered if they actually did cognitive therapy or just treat people with drug issues. Why else would they require a urinalysis prior to your first appointment? Then, for a full hour, Michelle sat at her computer typing in my responses to the 9-10 pages of forms I completed. There was no relationship building, no therapy. At the end of the session, she said she I would be seeing a different therapist, she didn't actually do the therapy. She wrote an appointment card for the following the following week. I arrived to that appointment, only to discover that no appointment had been made. I told the receptionist that I thought it was odd that I received no text reminder of that appointment. Then the Recepionist told me that they did not take Medicare or TRICARE, and if I wanted Therapy I would have to pay out-of-pocket. This entire process was a waste of time and money. If you're looking for real therapy, I recommend you look elsewhere. I hope that this review helps make others aware that this is not someplace to go if you are looking for real help. They'll take your money and leave you feeling worse. read more

I have been a Patient for over a year, and I have the hardest time getting in touch with anyone to book an appointment, get information, my pharmacy even called six times before giving up. I absolutely agree with Ashlee P's review! Doctors/NP are great but it is sooooo frustrating to try to reach anyone by phone. (However, they will call you back at some point when you leave a message.)
