HUGE RED FLAG. Valley Air was hired by my home warranty company to check out my AC unit. They ended up replacing the unit. One year later the brand new unit leaked water down into the house and caused thousands of dollars of damage to the drywall and flooring. As I started digging for answer as to why a 1 year old would malfunction in this was. I discovered that Valley Air never got the work inspected by the city, never did the required title 24 testing, and never finalized the permit for the work done and left my home legally uncompliant. Valley Air would have left it that what if I did not start digging and found this out. Even after all of this not being done legally and within compliance, Valley Air refused to take responsibility for the damages and found every reason to deflect the fact their work was non-compliant and blame me for the unit leaking by saying that the unit was not maintained even though it was barely 1 year old and barely due for service at the 1 year mark. Entirely unprofessional. For all the folks leaving 5 star reviews, please check to validate that everything was done legally and that your permits have been pulled and finalized and that all proper testing and city inspections were done. Through the install I thought they were a good company as well so they fooled me. Once I did the digging and found out they did not do the job in compliance with local laws it exposed them and then refusing to take ownership and make it right by helping with the damage shows who they are even more. read more

Mario was accommodating to work with my schedule, punctual and respectful at all times. He did an excellent job of meeting us at our Vacation Home in Pine Mountain Club, California to help diagnose existing problems and offer working solutions to ensure that we had HEAT installed and working before our Nov 18th Deadline. 1st Visit 10/22, We hired him 10/29 and by Nov 1st he was on the job, and finished everything to completion (passed inspection with county) more than week early from his deadline. Mario & team are trustworthy and worked with cleanliness to ensure the property was left exactly how they found it. I'm happy to have found someone like Mario that cares about his customers. This is rare now a days with labor shortages, and critical delays in the supply chain and part shortages, he figured it out and made sure the new Furnace was completed and now there is Central heating for the holidays and cold Winter! The Cost was Acceptable considering the sense of urgency that we as owners put on Mario, but he delivered so it's worth every penny! His quote even beat the local plumber from the area that quoted higher $ and no way he could meet the deadline, too much uncertainty in his answers citing critical delays everywhere which led me to go elsewhere. There's no word short of 'Awesome' that I can use to describe Mario and his team. My unit was "out" for over 18 months. I didn't have the funds to even get it looked at, due to going through a divorce, until this week. I called around for some "local" H&A repair businesses, but I live in a small town, (Tehachapi Ca.) and couldn't find a local repair businesses. Next location, BAKERSFIELD. That's a good 45 minutes away...and the service call price, just to show up and CHECK out the problem was going to be $80 per the several companies I called. Mario, from VALLEY AIR SYSTEMS, was exceptional. After hearing my plight, he WAIVED THE SERVICE CALL CHARGE, as he already was heading to Tehachapi for another call, then told me he would "diagnose" the problem for FREE! Mario (& his helper) arrived on time and went straight to work. Mario diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes. (I thought...please God, let the cost be reasonable) He cleaned out some spider webs and "re-set" a switch...and BOOM..problem solved! He climbed down from the roof, and packed up his ladder & tools. When I asked him what I owed...he said "ZERO...I TOLD YOU I WOULD LOOK AT IT FOR FREE!" WHAT! I said....hold up...REALLY? NOTHING?! Talk about keeping your word...and beyond! I gave him a big tip, and his helper too! The 1970's(ish) AC unit decided it wanted to quit during the hottest month. The home warranty company sent out one company, although he was efficient enough he insisted it could be fixed by building new pieces. I really was not satisfied with that answer as this AC would have to be completely rebuilt and it was at an age where it was not eco or energy efficient. Home warranty sent another company, (Valley Air), for a second opinion. They came as soon as they could, which was faster than I expected, considering I live in a small town away from Bakersfield. The gentleman did a review, explained in detail what he knew was wrong. He sent the appraisal to the insurance company that day. As soon as it was approved the parts were ordered and it was installed. While the crew was installing the system, (ground, driveway), other than the sounds of working, I did not hear them. When they finished they notified me, explained ways to maintain the unit for a longer lasting life. I went outside expecting to see the old unit that would need to be taken to the dump, however, not only was it gone but they had cleaned up the entire area where the AC unit was! I have to say I was really grateful for this company. The home warranty did not cover a certain dollar amount so I had to pay out of pocket, (which I am not complaining), I just was unable to pay the full amount at the time. The owner was very understanding and allowed me to break it into two payments. I would strongly recommend this company to everyone. read more

What service! Mario installed a new HVAC system a little over a year ago. This winter was unusually cold and wet. One of the tenants needed his gas turned on for the furnace. Mario was there promptly and I have a happy tenant. While on the roof, Mario noticed one of the roof drains was stopped up by the most recent storm. He took it upon himself to clear the drain releasing all built up of rain water on the roof. He texted me a video to let me know he took care of it because he saw it needed to be done!
