Omg this place is heavenly! Their bakery case is so awesome and features unique and fun flavors. We tried a few things including two donuts and a slice of cake for my husband birthday. The ube donut was so good and my cinnamon donut had an amazing soft cake consistency. The slice of cake was a dream. The strawberry flavoring was perfect and the cake itself was soft and moist. Wonderful spot for all your bakery needs and the staff was very kind! The cafe is nicely located in a great part of town and feels very welcoming. read more

We stopped here after having a couple of drinks at Grand Central brewhouse, and this donut shop is only about a minute walk down the street from them. We were greeted kindly and promptly when we walked in the door and they have a large selection of not only donuts, but other pastry delights as well. We were in the mood for donuts so that's what we were searching for - because it was later in the day, they didn't have as many flavors available so we settled on two maple and one chocolate with sprinkles. The donut overall was really good definitely a little bit of a denser donut but good flavor. The icing is very thin and definitely melts off quickly, especially in the Florida heat. We took ours home to eat later and a lot of the icing had already melted it off, even though we had it inside in air-conditioning the entire time. The maple is very sweet and the chocolate was good but a little on the sweet side as well. Overall, great experience if you're looking for a quick donut when you're on central Avenue in St. Pete read more

This place is so AMAZING. The staff was ridiculously friendly and pleasant and helpful. The baked goods are hands down some of the best I've had in a while. I had an apple fritter, a Bavarian cream, and raspberry filled. Each one was just as delicious as the one before. The Ube latte was new for me but so good, just the right amount of sweetness. My favorite was the sausage roll, will definitely be going back to get a couple of those for breakfast before I leave St. Pete! The place is so cute and love the homage to Dolly. 10/10 recommend read more

Valkyrie doughnuts has some of the most amazing donuts and whats absolutely insane is the fact they are vegan and they don't taste it one bit! They are massive and delicious, plenty of options to choose from too! My favorite was the Florida cream and almond cheesecake, French toast was fun too! The dough of the donuts is soft, pillowy, delicious and weirdly enough gluten or bread items usually hurt me, but weirdly i had no issues having their donuts . Their Ube coffee was a treat, unusual, delicious and not too sweet! The vibe is so cool, but not really a sit down spot, more of a pickup spot. The service is exceptional, friendly, attentive, quick and overall enjoyable an experience. I love this place and cant wait to try other seasonal flavors . Go check them out, you wont regret it! read more

Valkyrie Doughnuts - Donuts Near Me - St. Petersburg, Florida

Ive been here a few times this past month & they never disappoint with their baked goods. I recently got their cookie butter bar - OMG was it addicting!! I love that they are inclusive and have a full bakeshop of dairy free options - we celebrated my friends bday recently & got here a bunch of the sweets so she could try them all! She always missed out on the sweets from other places with her dairy allergy so we appreciate Valkyrie Doughnuts! I will say, it is on the expensive side at around $8 a bar but the quality and taste is worth it. Just be prepared to spend if you plan to get multiple items. You wont be disappointed, everything I've tried from here is delicious! read more

Valkyrie Doughnuts - A mix of all the dairy free bars they offer! - Donuts Near Me - St. Petersburg, Florida

They sold out of donuts when I came, but they had plenty of other goodies for sale. I got a Lavendar & Matcha Bar ($7) and a Sassy Brookie ($8.75). The lavendar matcha bar was good but the flavors were a bit too light for me. However, the Sassy Brookie was packed with both flavor and texture. There was some kind of lint wedged into part of the icing part which was a bit off-putting, but not enough to make me abandon the rest of the brookie which was delicious. It's a very rich and fudgy dessert, so it lasted me a few days. Grab an extra fork because mine snapped trying to dig into the thick bars. I didn't know until after I had finished eating everything that Valkyrie makes all vegan desserts, so I am even more impressed. The interior is cute and has some other non-food items for sale such as cards and candles. Plan to take your items to-go because there is only one small counter that seats two. read more

I was genuinely happy the moment I walked in. The ambiance is so warm and welcoming, and the friendly greeting at the counter immediately set the tone. You can tell right away this place cares about the experience. I took my son with me and we were both blown away -- everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The food was absolutely delicious, the coffee was incredible (seriously, so good), and the service was beyond phenomenal. Everyone was kind, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Nancy and I stopped in during the annual Halloween street party for a sweet treat and boy did they have them. I've been wanting to visit Valkyrie in Orlando for some time now and the one time I was there they were closed, bummer. Regardless, we were just wandering around and ran into this store while shopping, sweet! All of the donuts looked awesome especially the jelly filled one which was huge. I finally decided on the Death Bar ($9) which has a brownie base, whipped peanut butter filling, chocolate ganache icing and candied orieos on top, delicious! The dessert was big enough for the two of us to snack on several times through the day with other light meals. Christopher, the gentleman working the counter, was friendly and quick to take our order. The store is not very big and there is only one small table inside of you want to enjoy your treat on site. All in all, I enjoyed my dessert and the service they provided. I recommend them if you're in the area and looking for a quick sweet treat. read more

First time visiting here and definitely not the last time! I need to show up earlier as numerous items sold out. I ordered several donuts (glazed & strawberry), couple of the guava pastries, balsamic focaccia, donut holes and the Apple frangipane. Yum yum yum. Quaint store, great service, and some seating outside. Coffee options looked great. Several people had pre-ordered birthday cakes and they looked great. I joined their rewards program and already have points for a free donut. Can't wait to go back. read more

I stopped by here with my girlfriend for a sweet treat on her birthday, and the staff was so knowledgeable and sweet! We got two cupcakes (7/10 but cupcakes aren't my thing usually) and the cheddar chive scone (11/10!!!). To our pleasant surprise, everything was VEGAN! That's their whole bit I guess. My stomach was sooo happy by the end of these snacks. No dairy = happy belly! I will be back soon to try some of their other stuff, including their famous donuts! Super cute inside with local hand-painted art on the front door. Staff made convo with us while our scone was being heated, and I appreciated that! I'll be back. read more

I've been obsessed with Valkyrie Doughnuts for a while now, and it never disappoints! It is now combined with their sister bakery, Valhalla, so they have both donuts AND other baked goods in there! Unfortunately, that means there are less flavor options of donuts, but the taste is definitely not compromised! The last time I went was around St Paddy's Day so they had some adorable shamrock-shaped donuts. The service here is always great (they're so patient when I take forever to decide!) and the ambiance is nice, although there isn't anywhere to sit inside. I woke up one morning and wanted a donut. I'm dairy free, which means vegan bakeries are the answer when the sweet tooth calls. I decided to walk around DTSP, grab lunch, and my donut. Yes, it's pricey for a donut, but it's also a MASSIVE DONUT. I had to muster up all of my self control to not eat the whole thing in my sitting, because it was so good I wanted to. I can guarantee that if I were to tell someone it was a typical dairy-filled cookies and cream donut, that person would not bat an eye. It tasted LEGIT. Grab your running shoes because you'll need them after indulging in the mouthwatering donuts from Valkyrie Donuts! This spur-of-the-moment stop turned out to be one of the best decisions we've made, and let me tell you, these donuts are nothing short of extraordinary! Tucked away in a cozy, quaint shop, Valkyrie Donuts immediately makes you feel welcome. The inviting atmosphere is matched only by the warm, friendly greeting we received from the wonderful soul behind the counter. Now, lets talk donuts-because these aren't your average treats. Each one is thick, fluffy, and practically bursting with flavor. I have a weakness for donuts with a great filling, and Valkyrie did not disappoint. We treated ourselves to an assorted three-pack, and each one was a winner. The first donut was a decadent dream-topped with crushed candy bars and Oreo sprinkles, with an indulgent Oreo cream filling that had me hooked from the first bite. Next up, was a sweet-and-salty masterpiece, a chocolate donut crowned with crunchy crushed pretzels that balanced perfectly with the rich chocolate. And last, but certainly not least, was the Birthday Sprinkle donut-a celebration in every bite with its classic donut base, topped with smooth chocolate frosting and a rainbow of colorful sprinkles. Each donut was huge, heavenly, and downright delicious. Bring a friend, because these are made to share-through you might not want to! -Jen disadventures.com read more

Disappointed to show up when Apple maps showed they were open, only to find out they have different hours than it says online. First I wanna say that all those 4 star reviews - y'all are crazy and way too critical! This place is a local GEM and deserves nothing short of 5 stars. I tried this bakery out via Too Good To Go (discounted surprise boxes, you should give it a try!), and it did not disappoint. The surprise box had a cake slice, 3 cupcakes, and a brownie, and they threw in a free donut too. Everything was so good I had to take a bite out of each one. The hype on the donuts were real - I got a red velvet oreo, and it wash chewy, soft, not overly sweet, and very satisfying. The place is small, not somewhere to hang out in for a long time, but the display is enticing. It's a simple counter service with a very friendly staff. I lucked out on the surprise box and would gladly pay full price for everything! read more

These are vegan? Like for real? I've had some phenomenal vegan donuts but those have been the exceptions to the rule. More often vegan donuts are bad. Still, I keep putting myself out there. In the case of Valkyrie Doughnuts, I am so glad I did. The flavors at Valkyrie are very unique and interesting. You aren't only getting vanilla or chocolate topped here. During my visit, I opted for a Rose Pistachio, Guava and Strawberry Lemonade although there were at least three others I was considering. Texture wise, these donuts are on par with the fried pieces dough I grew up with in Central Pennsylvania. The Valkyrie version were not super greasy. They were sugary, as donuts usually are, but they didn't seem overly sweet. Price wise, Valkyrie Doughnuts are on par with vegan donuts I've had elsewhere. Four dollars for a donut will definitely make someone who doesn't eat vegan do a triple check, but for a vegan dessert this is pretty par for the course (and to be fair, they are pretty big). Consider me a huge fan of Valkyrie Doughnuts. read more

These beauties continue to amaze my palate. My gosh, soooo freshhhhh. Tried new flavors recently! Clockwise, from light orange on: Thai tea, triple chocolate, French toast, vanilla lavender, and almond rose. I feel my mouth was baptized by that almond rose water donut. Wow! Potent! Very unique and tasty, but definitely more of an acquired taste due to the amount of rose water used this time. Vanilla lavander was a beautifully subtle, but bright flavor. Mmm. French toast was soooo good. That glaze was *on point*, more like a maple flavor. Triple chocolate is definitely more apt for real hardcore fans of chocolate. A little too rich for me, but still a nice donut. Thai tea was another unique flavor. They really nailed it! The frosting did taste like that distinctive flavor of Thai tea. Will keep coming back to try new ones! Always an adventure! read more

My daughter has a cows milk protein allergy, so when it came to getting a smash cake for her first I decided to try Valhalla since they have nailed the vegan goods. One of the BEST cakes I have ever had and many others who tried the cake! We had strawberry frosting with graham cracker cake and it was to die for. They designed it all entirely and I just purchased the "one" candle and moon sign to insert into the cake. Amazing cake , great Service and attention to detail. Tried out this local donut shop for the first time after seeing their donuts on social media! The shop is small inside and when I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly person behind the counter, who help me pick out my treats. The donuts are thick, fluffy, and more of a soft consistency than crispy donut. On this afternoon, they didn't have many flavors to choose from but they usually have a variety of flavors and they change often. The fillings and toppings were sweet but my favorite part was that the bread part was not too sweet like some other places make donuts. Each bite was like a little piece of heaven melting in my mouth. The texture was so satisfyingly dense, and the flavors were just bursting with deliciousness. I bought the berry pancake donut and a lemon filled one. They also have square shape donuts which add an extra touch of fun! read more

Run, don't walk. And get there early. These donuts are moist and huge and amazing and sell out by noon most days. The flavor profiles Valkyrie comes up with are insane. I literally drive over 30 minutes to go there. My favorites so far have been anything with lavender, coconut caramel, cotton candy, and all of their filled donuts. Walking up I instantly liked this place with their Dog Friendly AF sign on the window. LOL. They have a bowl outside their store as well. Inside you find subtle artwork painted on the walls and I found an almost empty display case. But it was a little after 2pm so that is great for them, bad for me. But that also helped narrow down my options. I choose the Caramel Popcorn to try on my first visit. I took this "breakfast" item home to be nice and share with Ben. It was still fresh and "fluffy" and the caramel tasted just like the kind used with caramel popcorn. A few bites had actual peanuts in them which was also really good. The donut itself is a pretty big size and nice treat to share. Can't wait to be down in that area early when they have all options available to pick from. read more
