This place could be a showcase of so many valley products, but I guess this is what you get with commoditized convenience stores focusing on selling scratch tickets, cigarettes and gas. He asked me to help him iron his suit and prepare the saddle for him on the day of the big ride and everything was going great until we the kangaroo showed up. THis Kangaroo was a big fella. He was fighter and a real mustang type of animal and my friend Jack started getting nervous as hell. I was soothing his nerves telling him that it was the right thing to do and keeping his spirits up. Instead of riding the kangaroo to the girls house Jack put the kangaroo in his truck and planned on riding it the last mile. When the kangaroo got in the whole affair turned ugly and the kangroo messed up the truck big time so we had to wash it a couple days later. We brought the truck here and it was really good for cleaning it.

As my 12 year old has noted, Vermont gas stations are a breed of their own. Many seem to carry local products, freshly made food, wine, craft beers and all sorts of other goodness. Let me repeat that: The STAFF ARE WONDERFUL, especially the beautiful, cheerful woman working on Christmas Eve!!! If there were some sort of award for loveliest employee ever, she would easily win. There's a huge variety of fermented, probiotic pickles; maple syrup + maple products; delectable deviled eggs; portable, locally-made jerky; wine; Lawson's and other locally brewed craft beer; candy and small toys; batteries; Advil and allergy medicine; windshield wiper fluid; and when it's not almost closing time on Christmas Eve, some frou frou, way-better-than-they-have-to-be-for-a-gas-station finds like pizza, chicken tenders, fried ravioli, prepared and made-to-order sandwiches, hot dogs and bratwurst, soups and stews, cookies and whoopie pies from a local bakery. On Christmas Eve, local grocery stores locked their doors by 5:45 p.m. for a 6 p.m. close, so we were unable to pick up some staples when we arrived at exactly 5:45 p.m. This Mobil came to the rescue and we stocked up on some basics (local craft brews, wine, eggnog, milk, delectable deviled eggs, locally-made cheddar + Babybel cheese... which go nicely in little pockets for skiing). These helped make our dinner a celebration rather than just another meal. So very, very grateful for this place.

Two Saturdays ago, I was in there again and a man was running the place alone. He was friendly and helpful. He also mentioned they are under new owners and plan to change up the menu. He seemed enthusiastic about the upcoming changes, including a pizza take-out option. I give 4 stars because this employee made my experience the most enjoyable yet!

Unfortunately most of the potential prepared goodies were finished making for the day. The hours are good for this place and it helps that there is a hospital nearby that I didn't see in passing. I can definitely see this store as a local, casual convenient stroll out. The 24-7 has station next to I-87, while there seemed to be a sign for it, appeared closed unless there is one even further out in the opposite direction from downtown Elizabethtown.
