We finally bought in Redondo Beach after renting for a long time. We first started going to open houses every weekend for 4 months on our own. We realized we needed a realtor and kept thinking about Valerie who we met as she hosted an open house. She stood out to us (after meeting dozens and dozens of realtors at open houses) because of her knowledge of the market and down-to-earth approach. We looked her up along with a few others that we met and she was the only one with a professional online profile. So, we selected her and BOOM! we landed the perfect house for us within 2 months in REDONDO (where we wanted) less than a mile from where we rent. We were so afraid we were going to be priced out of the town - the market is still really, really hot with multiple bids on every property and offers thousands over asking. Val is awesome!!!! I've been working with Val for over a year to find our new home and she has been so helpful and patient..... My husband and I had been a little up in the air with location with his job so it moved a couple times around central and southern Cali. Not only did she not seem bothered by our constant limbo, but she was always happy to send updated listings and travel 1-3 hrs to go see houses. She also was so quick with paperwork and moving when she knew we liked something. (Additionally, she would send us new listings every day.) She was in constant contact with us and other realtors to get additional details. Her communication is one of the main reasons you should use her. You are never in the dark with her. Another thing I felt Val was good at, she had great advice about what to offer and how to counter. I never realized that buying a home can be such a mind game. Will our offer be too high? Too low?
