Terrible office. Save yourselves from delays, cancellations, frustration. My second visit I waited to see Dr Valenzuela for 2.5 hrs. Got a prescription for PROLIA. My follow up appointment got cancelled twice first 1 week prior despite having done all the blood work he requested, then again 2 days prior. Got an appointment with his NP Ilene as I was due for my 2nd dose of PROLIA. She was supposed to send my prescription to my pharmacy. I left multiple messages for the NP, the nurse and the coordinator. Additional messages to the office pharmacist with no results. Not a single phone call returned. Ah but to charge my credit card such efficiency! Avoid delays in your care and go somewhere else. I'm basked for the supervisor and was told she quit a couple of days ago!!! read more

Don't keep patients waiting for hours . Literally hours .. no excuse every scheduled appt. Waited for 2+ hours . Scheduled visit 9am (1st appt.) I walked out at 10:15 Dr. Venezuela wasn't in office . Stop taking new patients if you cannot handle the patients you have . Office staff is non responsive , such a shame , I consider Dr Venezuela a brilliant Dr. but I have scheduled with another practice . Wait times are exceptionally long due to gross negligence by the staff and office manager, exceeding 60-90 minutes regularly. In addition, they are impossible to get a hold of via email or answering machine (I've left many messages). Dr Valenzuela may be a good guy, but he is surrounded by sheer ineptitude. They have failed to send files to my doctor (FS 456.057) and have tried to bill my insurance for a scan that never occurred (FS 817.234) and double bill me for an appointment that I paid for in person. I have been a patient of Dr Valenzuela for over 15 years I never had a problem until March 2025. In March of 2025 an existing worker change positions and took over as the infusion coordinator. Unfortunately she was not knowledgeable on this position created a huge chaos of events where I was not able to get the attention and treatments that I needed. My insurance company over and over try to work with this person telling them that they were following the wrong claim that they were not doing the job correctly and she consistently did what she wanted to dowithout any concern about my well-being and health condition. I am totally disappointed in the way this doctor's office has been running and what it has amounted to. The long wait will never a problem for me I was more concerned with my health care however it appears that the doctor himself knows nothing about how the office is being run and the turnover has become obvious now of why people that work there are leaving as well as patients that are leaving. I will say that Stephanie fajardo was excellent as a physician's assistant. However, the staff and office staff reflect the doctor and if he does not take time to try to rectify the problems he will have to face the reputation that he is starting to gain from not training and making sure the people that he'll put it in positions. To make matters worse the office tried to hold up my medical records to the new doctor. This is a disgrace. I never thought it would come to this. After having to make two trips to the actual office to get someone to pay attention to what it was that I was needing and being told that I was among at least 10,000 people a day and that the person handling these people was having difficulty trying to manage it tells me that she is not capable of doing her job and needs to be replaced or trained properly. Thank goodness I got away and now I'm getting a management of care from a doctor and staff that knows how to treat their patients. read more

Dr. Valenzuela is a rare and exceptional physician. He shows compassion, a tremendous knowledge base and is enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate about healing patients and making a difference in this world. He is dedicated to seeking the truth about patients conditions and appears to be willing to do anything to find answers that result in healing those that seek his help. When you talk to Dr Valenzuela you could see in his eyes how much he cares. He does research and is finding answers for his patients conditions to improve their quality of life when these patients may have otherwise been dismissed. As I said, he is rare. Dr. Venezuela is an excellent Rheumatologist. He does cutting edge research and sees patients at his office. He has state of art equipment in the office including an MRI machine and X-ray machine. The only issue is that since he is so good and the only Rheumatologist in prob Browar, his office is very busy. Plan on spend at least 2 hours at the office. Take something to keep you busy, take a drink and keep the rest of your day free, then you might not be so agitated It is all about your mindset. My pain has been better controlled since seeing Dr. V. When you are established then you only need to come every 3 to 4 month. read more

Very bad experiences in this office. Firstly, do not let them convince you to have xrays or MRIs there, The equipment they have is antiquated. Everything takes longer to do. Plus, is usually more expensive to do somewhere else. Office staff huge turnover. Had to wait standing up on line to get checked out 30 minutes, Not good for someone with arthritis. This is the most unorganized unprofessional doctors office I've ever been to.They obviously have way to many patients on there hands.I go get my IVIG infusion and instead of them making sure they have the medication before hand they make me go to the office and sit there for about an hour and a half before they tell me they lost my medication.How do you lose viles of medicine I don't know.So I check the tracking and call CVS to make sure it at least was delivered to the right place and CVS confirmed that it was indeed delivered and that Marco signed for it on 9/11 at 12:30 pm.So where is the medicine no one seems to know.Ive now been in this office for three hours until I finally ask to speak with the office manager.The office manager has no idea what happened to it.I call the pharmacy to see if I can get it redelivered but now since it's to soon to refill the prescription I have to call the office again to get the prescription re-written.And I have to wait for the insurance to approve a redelivery which might take another week or so.Ive been hospitalized four times this year alone because there's always a delay when it comes to me getting my medication,I finally get the damn thing and now people are losing it.Dont come here I unfortunately have to still come here because the office is close to my house but coming here there's always some inconvenience I have to deal with. read more

I was at the Dr Guillermo Valenzuela 410 84 ave Plantation as a new patient. My appointment was at 12 with Dr Soto. And I got the 11:45 to fill out paperwork. They collect my copay and then I was awaiting for them to call me. They called me at 1:15 . I was waiting again in the check room. It was 1:45 when I decide to get out and go to front desk and tell them. I want my money back that was ridiculous the wait. They return my money and my paperwork, never apologized. Ducked in to talk Rheumatology, Immunology, digital marketing, and digital infrastructure. Dr Valenzuela's state-of-the-art practice is located in Plantation, Florida. I find the doctor to be a very engaging, interesting, intelligent, and charismatic man. He is obviously very popular with patients as his waiting room is always very busy. He has a very George Hamilton type of air about him. His staff and office run in a professional manner, and his Plantation office is centrally located right near Westside Regional and the Broward Mall. Lots of energy and activity going on here. Plenty of parking and easy to get into his ground floor offices and exam rooms. Dr. Valenzuela has an inclusive approach to his practice. The full name of his practice is I. R. I. S., which stands for Integral Rheumatology and Immunology Specialists and his facility covers all diagnostic and treatment needs of patients with rheumatoid conditions: Digital X-Rays, Extremity MRI, Bone Densitometry, Ultrasound and Infusion Suite. He has all the labs, exam rooms, and imaging equipment in-house so patients don't have to travel all over town and waste time assessing their health condition. His office continually contributes to the development of new treatments and protocols through the contribution in clinical studies. Nice! Three weeks ago my mother and I saw Dr. Valenzuela. It was my second time seeing him and I was told last year I needed a bone density test this year. After he spent 10 minutes with my mother he turned to me and asked me "what hurts" which I replied "nothing" he said "I see you next year". We waited over an hour in half for him to give me less than two minutes! I told him I needed the bone density test done so he told me to go get it done and he would see me shortly to go over the results. Half hour later after my bone density test was done I was told Dr. Valenzuela could not see me because he was busy doing research. The doctor never had the decency to call me back with my results; but I'm sure they didn't wait to collect payment from my insurance. My mother and I will NEVER go back to this place where they overbook appointments and make you wait for hours and the doctor doesn't even care to look you in the eyes when he speaks to you. read more

I was a patient of a dr Ayala, she does not work in this office anymore. I was billed by Quest Labs, for a blood test I did in 2015. Quest send me the bill again, and I thought this problem was fixed, now 3 years later. Quest send me a billed because Dr. Valenzuela billing department did not add a "qualifying diagnosis" to the prescription for blood. Quest send it back to Dr. Valenzuela for billing department to add a the "qualifying diagnosis" and they never answered Quest. Quest continues to billing me for their error, how am I responsible. I called the office again, I was transferred to a voicemail, the owner of the voicemail if Clarina, after explaining my problem, she said that she doesn't bill for blood, and she doesn't know what to do because it's not her department. I feel that the problem is that I was a patient of Dr. Ayala, and they don't care about her patients anymore. This is unprofessional, rude, and despicable. How am I responsible? How??? read more

First impression on walking in was disappointing, the place looked dirty and run down. I tried putting first impression on the side, but what came next needs to be told so that others think twice before making an appointment. Dr. Ayala was quick and decided to take medicines off my list, to which I agreed. I was ordered X-rays and she was to scheduled my Actemra infusion since I was already running late. I waited for a couple of days before calling about my x-rays and Actemra. Nothing, nada came from Dr. Ayala or anybody else. I left 5 messages on machine, my son left 5 too. We finally decided to come to the office to talk to the doctor about infusion. We were greeted by a woman by the name of Hazel (bad English - hard to understand), she started raising her voice and my son stopped her. We went to the back (Infusion Room), she made a lame excuse about Dr. Ayala being on vacation, and then she went on vacation too. So, all messages were lost in the twilight zone. I never received my infusion, because the office couldn't afford to pay for it and never informed me of this inconvenience. Hazel called me and gave me the phone number of the specialty pharmacy that carried Actemra so that I could buy it directly from them. I found out that Hazel is not certified to administer infusions. (Onsite infusion center may require hiring additional staff or training current staff members because you will need staff such as nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and physician assistants qualified to administer infusible drugs). Was told by a staff member that she was just a Medical Assistant. I never received a follow up phone call from Dr. Ayala. I moved back to Fargo, where I receive the best medical care, where I understand what people are saying. read more

I finally got the attention of the receptionist and asked f I should fill out any paper work since I'm a new patient. She finally hands me some forms to fill out. Waited an hour with no communication as to what was going on. Asked about wait was told they would check. Asked again and was advised that there were 4 patients in front of me and that I should know that its a long wait every day for him. She seriously said that! So my daughter wakes up with an excruciating pain in her big toe. Could it be the first attack of gout? As a pediatrician, I felt that the specialty that deals with gout arthritis is rheumatology and I received a good recommendation about doctor Valenzuela. I called the office, spoke with the front desk and explained her predicament... Next available appointment is in August! Urgent care alternatives are lousy, not much of diagnostic expectations there. Really, 6 months for a new patient appointment? As a physician, I find that unacceptable. They did offer me an earlier appointment with his partner... Dr. Valenzuela's office has the covid precautions done perfectly. He has enough seating for the patients scheduled with an aide taking temperatures and questioning as to possible exposure. I was seen within 15 minutes of appointment time and, for once, their front office was courteous and helpful, unlike other offices that are too busy, too prejudiced or too impatient.I was fortunate to see Dr. Valenzuela who had complete knowledge of my condition and progress. Dr. Valenzuela took the time to speak to me like a human, answer any questions that had come up since my last visit and explained nuances of my disease, psoriatic arthritis. While waiting to be seen, there seemed to be confidence in the other patiensts regarding their treatment. So if you can, feel confident making an appointment with Dr. Valenzuela because after 20 years of undiagnosed pain by numerous rheumatologists, he nailed it and I have been 4 years without pain due to his treatment with Inflectra. read more

The wait time is over 2 hours, they don't fill refills, don't send scripts or order prescriptions as ordered by the doctor. I had to wait 3 hours for him. Nobody called me to offer to have me come later. They just sat me in a freezing cubicle to do nothing for 3 hours, and when I left, the girls up front said this is normal for him, and to bring a book next time. I kept telling him I had a noise, not pain, but he was very hell bent on getting that pain code in his report, because the insurance pays better for it. He kept telling his PA what codes to place it under, very money hungry practice. Staff that didn't care with a callous, almost rude office manager. Oh, and I told them what insurance I had, they said they take it, but I hot the explanation of benefits from my insurance, and found out I was billed for out of network. I asked the office manager to accept in network fees, especially since they said they were on my insurance, and since they kept me waiting 3 hours, but she refused. Dr V is a very caring doctor and excellent in his field, if only you can get to see him. I have to have follow ups in between infusions but if you have 4 hrs to wait then go for it. Today my appointment was at 12.15pm, to see DR V as well as hand scan. For some reason the scan appointment was for the same time? by 2.50pm I hadnt even moved from the waiting room into the back for consultation. Let alone a scan that I could have had while I was waiting to see the doctor.Each time I asked the receptionist I got the same answer "i am so sorry". In the end I gave up and left. A wasted part of my precious day off. Scheduling must be looked at by their manager who also removed the coffee due to the amount of times their carpet got ruined by spilt coffee. This office is poorly run n the stuff is not helpful. The staff schedules 2-3 patients for the exact same time. We arrived for a 12pm appt n was not taken to a room till 2pm. Then we were not even seen by the dr but by his medical asst. During our 2+ hour wait we learned that waiting for more than 2 hour for an appt is common. I asked the dr why was the wait so long n he gave me a speech about he takes his time n that if I don't like it I can go somewhere else. His rudeness n attitude was very unprofessional. I asked another dr for a referral for another Rheumatologist n I told about the issue we had with Dr Valenzuela with out saying his name n he knew who I was talking about. He told me he's had many patients complain about him n he does not have the best reputation among other Drs because of the complaints. We have also had to wait 2+ hours for a scheduled MRI because the technician could not arrive on time. She told us she would "try" to be on time the next day for second half of the scheduled MRIs. We purposely made appts for the first available opening in the morning to avoid waiting time but it made no difference because we have to continue to wait no matter what.
