I saw that there was a Publix in Pigeon Forge and knew that's where we'd need to go to get our picnic supplies! Because we had flown in (and didn't have picnic basket on our pack list), I knew that we needed to get a small cooler to keep our drinks and sandwiches cool on the warm spring day. Fortunately, Publix had a nice variety of small lunch box size coolers and we found one for a reasonable price that was perfect for what we needed and would collapse down for easy packing to bring it home. We then made our way to the deli and got fresh, deli made sandwiches made with boar's head meats and cheeses. They're fully customizable and we very much enjoyed them! We were also able to grab some fruit, pretzel crisps, boar's head hummus, and bottled beverages to round out our picnic. Everything was great, prices were reasonable, and we enjoyed a beautiful picnic in this beautiful area. One note would be that the deli does get busy. We were there in the ease of spring (ie: no big National Park crowds) and we still had to wait in a bit of a line for our deli sandwiches. So, just something to factor into scheduling. That said, we didn't mind a bit and the sandwiches were worth the wait. Get to it!

I went on the recommendation of some family that was also vacationing in the area and was definitely pleased with how well kept it was, and how even with a crowd everything was clean and neat. We had some of their baked goods, which were fantastic as well. Will definitely go again when I'm up in this area!

I am surprised that I never wrote a review, shame on me! I read the other reviews and never experienced their complaints. Always attentive, friendly, and have unique items. Have great sales, whoever plans their adds, kudos! Hubby works fairly close to Dandrige, as the crow flies. He decided to stop after work, he loves to shop, and was pleased with his finds!!! He also got some amazing sales woohoo!

Im writing this because just now i opened up some chicken that i purchased yesterday. When i opened it the odor of sulfur immediately flooded my nostrils. That means it's rancid folks. And this is not the first, second or even third time this has happened over a three year period. What to do, wrap it up, drive to the store and let the mgr smell it?! I'd like very much to shove it under the store manager's nose but I wouldn't consider putting this in my vehicle. No, it gets wrapped in a zip lock and immediately taken to the trash convenience center. So my only recourse is to blast these stores on yelp with hopes to make them aware that people notice when they get home with slimy, mushy, smelly out of date meats and produce. And their prices are ridiculous. Their inventory is similar to Winn Dixie if you're from the south or Shop Rite if you're from the north but their prices are as if you are shopping in Whole Foods. Thats just wrong. I assure you Food City is a very far reach from Whole Foods. I live in Dandridge and unfortunately its a 45 min drive for me to go to Ingles, Publix or Kroger so im surrounded by food city Dandridge, New Center and Newport. How unfortunate for me.

And the entire place is unwelcoming, I'd truly rather go into a ma and pop store with character, charm, and people who's livelihood is there. I grew up in a small hamlet that only chain was a shell gas station, we drove 24 miles to a larger town, to see larger stores. Haha... sounds like the old stories of walking miles in the snow to go to school... Well, I love those stories...not a fan of Walmart! So, I send my hubby in to do my shopping cause he love a sale...I AM BLESSED!

Flexible hours (not to mention being able to transfer locations) helped me pay the bills while in college. I transferred to a location in Durango, CO while I was performing with the Durango Shakespeare Festival, transferred back to Jefferson City, TN to finish my first two years and finally transferred to a Memphis, TN location while finishing undergrad. People will always be different from store to store but what is something that should remain consistent for a company across all the storefronts within the brand? The answer is standards and expectations. I visited the Jefferson City location about a month ago and while it may have been due to holiday traffic, lack of staff due to a Covid spike or some other unknown the standards were concerning as the condition of the store left much to be desired as did waiting over 20 minutes to check out. My next visit on 1/29/22 showed a notable improvement in visual merchandizing, faster checkouts and a more readily engaged floor staff. It reminded me of how it was when I once worked here which is a good thing. Say what you will about Walmart but for some "lifers" like Sheila and my Mother (of 25+ years) it is their job and it makes me happy to see them and many others still enjoying the work place and helping improve the customer experience. A final note, I used to answer the phone here sometimes (yes, the phone was answered by a real person every time) and I would say "Walmart store 724 open 24-7 this is Nick. How can I help you?" Being open 24 hours is a lot but a real human being answering the phone every time is something people would notice as special. Maybe we will see these days return. Go store 724!

My wife and I awoke in a quaint lil' Air BnB around 8AM on a Saturday. I made her watch Rogue One…read moreand Attack of the Clones all morning. It was epic! We ate eggs with fish in it for breakfast. Yumm. Afterwards we agreed that at 1100 we must get groceries to make our sisters dinner. My wife speedily took an hour to wash her hair before we went on our adventure. When she finished we ate more food! This time curry with a side of PB&J. Yumm. Around 1pm we set off to Walmart. It was an easy drive. We saw tons of trees with leaves. Upon arriving my wife noticed the Walmart was small. Very strage. They're usually big, you know? The next bad omen was the carts. They were all next to the registers. Haven't seen that before! We got our cart and perused the isles. Bad omen number three was soon revealed to us. No produce! Or milk! Or meat! I looked at my wife and exclaimed, "Honey! This Walmart is milkless!" She replied with, "I know." So obviously we expeditiously removed ourselves from that horrible place. My wife was sad. I was sadder. We quietly sat in our car in the parking lot for a while. I looked toward the horizon, questioning everything I thought I knew about stores. That's when I saw the INGLES sign. With a Deli and Bakery sign next to it. That's when I knew there was still hope in the world. I heroically sped over to the place. Not even telling my wife where we were headed. She questioned me. The parking lot was honestly kinda sus. There weren't many people there. However, the inside was amazing. I remember seeing lettuce and my heart skipping a beat. The isles were nicely spaced apart and well stocked with everything we needed including greek yogurt, vinegar, and oregano; excluding shallots. Purchasing our haul was a pleasant experience. And excellent young man offered to carry our groceries for us. We said no. As we walked out of the store my wife and I spoke about how much we adored the place. We would like to work there someday. The best part was when we finished putting out groceries away, the excellent young man appeared in a blink of a eye. He offered to take our cart away. We said yes. Five stars. Would shop at Ingles again.
