She was quick to remind us that this isn't a hotel, and encouraged us to think of her as our "Auntie Bibi from Malibu." That means: be respectful of her property, certain facilities (ie the jacuzzi) are off-limits, and clean up after yourself. No problem, why wouldn't we? We stayed in the Yurt. What's a Yurt? The best way to think of it is a permanent tent, or just to google it to get a better visual. This isn't camping. It's not even glamping. It has a built-in kitchen, hardwood floors, a loft-bed, a tv, and bathroom with toilet and showers. Oh, and most importantly, a heater! I loved it. And we ordered an optional home-cooked dinner which was made mostly with ingredients from Bibi's certified-organic orchard. We had the shepherd's pie, which was incredible. If you're looking for a hip hotel, a party spot, or even someplace "close to the action," this is NOT the place for you. It's an incredible place to go for a quiet retreat. To meditate. To get back to nature. To go hiking. To lounge and read. Or simply to enjoy Malibu from the perspective of a local. There are two other options: a Zen Room, which appeared to be the lower floor of Bibi and Bruce's house, and they are building a Safari-like tent with a queen-sized bed inside. If you're looking for an opportunity to recharge your batteries...this is the place to do it.

I went for a run along the beach. When I came back my feet were covered in tar. It took me a long time to get it off as soap doesn't work well. If you got tar on yourself, cooking oil works well to remove it. I was having a nice time until my feet got covered in tar. I'm not sure if it's the road construction nearby or the naval base that caused the tar problem. I probably wouldn't return. The beach charges $3/hour or $8/day to park at the beach. I recommend picking a different beach. Although there are some hikes nearby here that have awesome views.

Love coming here with the family for a beach picnic. Love that the bathrooms have showers to rinse off after a day of playing in the sand.

Parking wise, there's street parking along PCH, paid parking lot on PCH, street along the beach as well as another paid lot on the beach. Depending on the time, parking is a bitch as it's always full. It's a pretty wide stretch of beach so there's plenty of spaces for laying out and so on. One side has all the volleyball court. We arrived around 11:30 and luckily found street parking along the beach. It was nice out, sunny and a good amount of people along close to the water. We found a spot and made ourself comfortable. There was a good half dozen or so school buses parked where the volleyball courts are. Either a summer camp or school is back in session and it was a beach day. The odd thing, after an hour we arrived, the clouds started to roll in. Within minutes, it went from sunshine to overcast and gloomy. Stayed like that for a good hour and half. Even looking out to the hillside, it was so gloomy that you couldn't see down the beach. When the clouds burned off, it was back to beautiful beach weather. Lifeguard towers were in full force. We did notice that security on four wheelers were patrolling. They did questioned some people. It's a beautiful stretch of beach if you haven't been. The water was beautiful and looked clean but the waves were on a different level. They were pretty massive so lifeguards were on full force. People did go in the water but not a lot. To make it more magical, there were schools of dolphins swimming close by the shore. Even more fun, you could see them basically surfing the waves. That brought everyone on their feet trying to get the perfect picture. There's a good amount of restrooms and showers. It was actually clean which is a major plus. There's also a little lagoon that's a hangout for all the seagulls and pelican. Sand was soft and hot. Beach was clean, water was clean so it's was a good experience. It's a must if you haven't been.

There is electricity available inside and the bathrooms have 2 stalls and a shower. There is also a large cabinet to store small items. I was also concerned about the food because of prior reviews (burned hamburgers and cold cuts). It was 100% not true! Both mornings we had hot eggs and potatoes. One morning included sausage. There was a nice assortment of yogurt, fresh fruit and oatmeal with lots of extra toppings, along with nice pastries. Lunches were also quite nice and included hot entrees, salad and goodies. Dinners were hot meats, baked potatoes with lots of toppings to choose and cooked vegetables. I was more than satisfied with the amount and quality of the food. Even though our party arrived a little late on the first night, there was parking available near our cabin. Lots of varied activities were also available for all ages and abilities. Our group is looking forward to going again.

Close to our friends in Trilogy area. The staff is pleasant & helpful. One thing to be aware of Adrian's RV Wash & Detailing. We were going to have our coach washed. Bill asked the office who they recommended as there are several listed in their camp program. They said Adrian's was great. Bill called talked to Adrian told him we only need a wash. Adrian quoted $300. He said it would be better for me to wash & wax since I'm coming so far down to LP. Our appt was Tuesday @ 12. Kept trying to talk Bill into Wednesday morning, the day we needed to be on the road heading East. Bill texted him in morning to confirm 12pm & did he take credit cards. He's only cash or check for payment. Tuesday @ noon came Adrian was a no show. Bill called him @ 1:30 Adrian said he was on the way would be there at 3. I told Bill that's not acceptable I was fixing dinner at our friend's home & couldn't start delay waiting for him to arrive & finish. Told Adrain not to worry about coming. Wish we would have done more research into the others in the LP folder.

We had a bad experience here. We toured the wedding venue and liked it. We eventually signed a…read morecontract for our preferred, which was the only date certain family members could attend. After we signed the contract and paid our deposit, they told us that they would not honor our contract because they double booked for our date. They offered us solutions, but none of which included them providing us the lodging we had signed a contract for. They offered to put our guests up in a Holiday Inn nearby. We had booked 7 of the 8 airstreams and would have needed the date we booked to prepare for the wedding. We also placed value on having our guests stay where we were going to get married. What really frustrated us is they actually asked us to pay to change our lodgings. They offered us the Elsinore Yurt for $200 extra dollars, which honestly was very frustrating because they asked us to pay extra when they broke the contract. They told us this was the only place available the day of our wedding for us to be prior to the ceremony, when we had originally paid for over 24 hours to prepare. They did offer to simply refund us what we paid on the Airstreams and we could keep our wedding date. Throughout our conversations, they told us the Yurts were only available in 2 day blocks. However, we looked up alternate accommodations on Air BNB and found the same Yurt they wanted to charge us $200 for for about $100 on Air BNB for only 1 day! Also, Yurts they told us were unavailable for our guests on the original night we signed a contract with them for, were available on Air BNB for half the price they quoted us and for only 1 day. I cannot imagine how a double booking can occur without extreme lack of professionalism in these days of computers. We were very sad because we planned to be lifelong customers of this place and bring our family here for decades. They essentially ruined our plans for our wedding and we are still scrambling, and I believe they lied to us, although they deny it. The only other option is that the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. I do not recommend this place and feel they are a bad business that is trying upcharge people who are looking for a lower cost wedding. We also believe that if we had tried to break the contract (like they did to us after we signed it and paid) they would have taken legal action against us or fined us, as their contract made clear. We did get a refund. Their on site restaurant wasn't good either.

All in all really nice camp host John and his dog Max is absolutely lovely. The sites are clean and neat. The bathrooms and showers are really clean. Tokens for the showers can be obtained from the machine and the machine only takes single dollar bills. Be sure to have singles if you want to shower. At the time of posting the shower was one token for two minutes. I shared photos of sites if you are like me and want to know what the actual site locations look like. Happy Camper!

Tons of sycamore trees fill the campground. There are fire pits, each site has running water, there are bathrooms, showers for a small fee (get tokens), gate closes each night at 10 pm so no one is driving by your campsite, safe and quiet feeling. There wasnt a single item of this beautiful hotel that I could find fault with.   Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and expertly by a professional and extremely competent front desk staff, who had us not only checked in within seconds, but had upgraded us to a breathtaking suite with amazing views of Beverly Hills.  Bell service for our luggage was so fast they almost beat us to the room!   The newly renovated wing is stunning.  Guest rooms are gorgeously appointed, with just about every amenity a luxury traveler could want.  Despite the modern renovations, they have managed to keep the old charm of this classical beauty, giving you the subtle feeling of a by-gone era, while enjoying modern comfort on a flawless level.   I briefly mentioned to a staff member that I wasn't sure our mini bar was cooling properly, and within thirty minutes, not only was it completely replaced, but a second larger unit was brought in for our wines and other spirits which they had noticed we had brought with us. This was an impressive touch, considering we had not even thought to ask for one. The world class staff saw something they could make better, and made it happen, just like that. Room service was excellent. Food was delivered inhumanly fast, hot, and with top restaurant quality, just what you expect when you stay with the very best. Housekeeping day, and evening turn down service was flawless. A little whisper to our housekeeper for extra water, and we had enough water in our room to fill a bath tub. From the biggest to smallest request, the team at the Beverly Wilshire exceeds your highest level expectations. On that subject, I cannot say enough good things about the incredible staff at this Four Seasons property.  During a few periods of rain, the lobby and door personnel were falling over themselves to provide large luxury umbrellas, door attendants quickly cleaning and ensuring no one was wet, or slipping in the lobby.  There are literally layers of managers overlooking one another, but in contrast to other big name properties and brands, the staff here are all efficient, consummate professionals. No one is just standing around. Everyone takes personal responsibility and initiative for guest comfort and service.  From the housekeepers to the top managers, any request is taken as a personal assignment, treated with the utmost care and urgency, and they ensure it gets done. Always verifying to ensure you are pleased.  Each and every wish is fulfilled with a smile. I never heard the words "no" or "we can't" uttered. Many famous luxury brands try valiantly, but one simply cannot find better service than Four Seasons. They have taken luxury hospitality to an absolute science, and do not compromise on excellence.   Every guest is treated like royalty. Not a single detail is overlooked. From the breathtaking spa, to amazing dining options, this property has it all.  BLVD, the main restaurant and bar, is an iconic establishment with the best views on all Rodeo Drive. The service and food here are simply first class.   I will be writing a separate review just for BLVD, as the restaurant and their staff deserve their own recognition. On a visit several years ago, we received such magnificent service by a server named Surya, that when we had to return to Beverly Hills, there was really no other choice for us than The Beverly Wilshire. More on that incredible experience in my review for BLVD. There is also a new steakhouse, and separate lounge called Cut, by the world renowned chef Wolfgang Puck. This eatery is visually stunning, and the lounge has a classy, sexy, old Hollywood meets the 21st century vibe.  Service was excellent with a huge and professionally curated wine and drink list. There simply aren't enough words of praise one can say about this property and the experience here.   If you visit Southern California, and can afford it, treat yourself to the very best.  The service here is consistently the finest we have experienced anywhere in the US, even among the most elite brands and properties. It is the perfect escape from the city and truly shows off just how stunning and diverse the natural beauty of LA can be. Whether you want a challenging hike, a peaceful walk, or just a chance to get outside and breathe, this park delivers every single time. The hiking trails are beautiful, well maintained, and offer so many different views, from rocky cliffs to wide open meadows to sparkling water spots. It is also an amazing place for photoshoots because every corner looks like a different backdrop. I have taken some of my favorite photos here. For the more adventurous, there are great spots for cliff jumping when the water levels allow. It feels like a mini adventure every time. There is so much to do and see that no two visits ever feel the same. You can explore, relax, take in the scenery, or push yourself on a longer hike. It is such a special place and a reminder of how much beauty Los Angeles has to offer beyond the beaches and city streets. If you love the outdoors, Malibu Creek State Park is a must. The bedside lamps provided no significant light, and the overhead fan light was small, cold, & sterile, and not very bright, either. I beg of you, Ojai Rancho Inn--PLEASE get more significant overhead lights in your rooms--a singular bright japanese lantern hanging from the ceiling would do the trick. The ceiling fan is unnecessary when the rooms have AC. The pros: Dog friendly, I found the bed & pillows super comfortable, and the jacuzzi was rad. They have free bikes on the property that you can ride to downtown--my fiancé and I loved that. The grounds were beautiful and a short walk to downtown. We are looking forward to coming back!

We came with a large group of friends so we booked the Rancho Grande Howard Creek, Rancho Grande Historic and the Rancho Grande Fish Camp. Essentially, we had the entire ranch for ourselves. I believe only the Rancho Grande Historic has a bathroom inside - the Fish Camp and Howard Creek share bathroom which is walking distance from Fish Camp or via a Gator Utility Vehicle if you are staying on Howard Creek. Anyway, there was no issue for any of us getting around the Ranch. Plenty of Gator Utility Vehicles were provided (I think 4 total and we used all 4). But if you prefer driving your vehicle around, you can do so too. There is a communal area with a fridge and kitchen so thats were we had our meals. Its by the lake so its a nice view. We were able to paddle boat, kayak and go fishing. Kids specially loved petting and feeding the goats, dogs, camel (YES, a camel) and the alpaca. Owners were really friendly every time we bumped into them. Great stay and I would recommend this to everyone. Our only hiccup was that it was really cold at night and one of the heaters went out and my child has had a runny nose since. But other than that - amazing experience.
