I will not be going back to Dr. Almendarez. He is fired! The more I think about my last appointment with him the more miffed i get! He didn't really seem to take me seriously. I had extremely heavy bleeding with large clots for over 24 hours. My BP was down to 88/60 at my appointment. He was not alarmed. He said I had endometriosis. Endometriosis has never been mentioned to me before. He said my women's multivitamin has estrogen in it and that's what is "feeding" the endometriosis. No testing to discover what the underlying issue is. No ultrasound, no blood test, no biopsy. He said the only way to really fix the problem was a hysterectomy. He gave me progesterone to help slow the bleeding. See you in 3 months!? I'm seeing a different gynecologist and considering reporting this. I had to visit the ER the following morning. And then to visit my PCP. My PCP told me to stay off my BP meds until my BP rises to a level of needing it again. Reading of 140/90. She agreed with me when I told her I thought the gynecologist was FOS telling me there's estrogen in women's vitamins. I'm still bleeding pretty heavily and I haven't been at work all week because I'm absolutely exhausted! Sorry for the rant. There's so much more I could say, but I'll leave it here. read more
