Sitting about 1,500 feet above the island on St. Peter Mountain, the place delivers one of the best views anywhere on Saint Thomas. From the overlook you're staring straight down at the famous curve of Magens Bay, with islands sprinkled across the bright blue Caribbean like someone tossed jewels across the water. But let's be honest people also come here for the banana daiquiri. They'll tell you they've served more than seven million since the drink was first made here in the 1950s... though after watching the blender go nonstop, I'm guessing the number is probably closer to ten million by now. It's a fun stop for souvenirs, a laugh, and a cold drink with a world-class view. Sure, there are other reasons to come up here but nothing beats a good daiquiri. Salute.

It's helpful at e beginning of a trip to get the layout, or a bit in to have a bird's eye view of some of the places you've been. There are about 15 parking spaces and I've seen the lot get too filled with your buses to get into, or to want to get into, during the busy part of the day. But outside peak hours, you can pretty much have the spot to yourself. It's a very quick drive from Drake's seat, which provides a similar overlook on the other side of the island, basically on the same ridge looking down to the north. There's no charge. There are some doors that might be restrooms, but they aren't open all the time, so I'm not sure, and as far as I saw there were no services available.

We miss it tbh :( There are so many retail shops and restaurants to browse through, shop, eat, and drink at. I really enjoyed the Breitling store. The gentlemen working showed us some beautiful watches and treated us to some beer while we looked around. Gladys' Cafe is the go to spot for local cuisine. Her conch fritters are to die for. Yum! I could spend hours here just walking around grabbing a cocktail here and there and sharing an app with my girlfriend, which we did. Ha ;) It's truly a beautiful place with tons of charm and appeal and has so much to offer anyone who comes. I recommend coming in the early evening though because it can get quite hot in the daytime due to all of the concrete, bricks, etc. It's tough to find a place to cool off unless you go inside one of the shops or restaurants. There is plenty of parking, but chances are you'll have to pay, which we did. It's much easier than driving around looking for a free spot. Enjoy :)

For the city, all area can be access by foot. There several attractions cannot be miss. I would suggest the attractions below to explore. 99 steps- this is very old very old brick step. The original may have 99 steps. The current step is over 100 steps. Roughly 103 steps. This step take you to the top of hill for good view. Blackbeard Castle - is a historic garden on top of hill. This castle can access through the 99 steps. The castle is a hotel but currently close. Three Queen Status - it is behind the Blackbeard Castle. This status has three ladies surrounded looking down the hill. Nice small garden. Fort Christian - this is a fees required attraction. It is a red castle in the lower part of the city. I am not sure it is worth to paid the fee to visit. Franklin Roosevelt Memorial Park - it is a war memorial in the city. Very close to the flea market. Historic District- has the statue blown the corn and old houses. Main Street - is shop and restaurant The visit take half of days for entire walking tour.

The left has big rock as and coral all along in the water where you can find octopus, crabs, fish, stingrays. If you are more adapt at snorkeling you can go out towards the left and past the university dock and there is some great snorkeling there with sea cucumbers, giant pufferfish, eagle rays, some have reported lion fish over in that area even. Exceptional out of the way beach with a local vibe…read more What we loved: * accessible from the terminus Jitney cab university stop (just a short walk up over a hill) * shaded areas to put out your towels * clear calm water perfect for snorkeling * bathrooms with shower to rinse off * cool handmade signs to promote maintaining the environment Loved visiting Brewers Bay Beach which felt clean safe and family friendly. We felt 100% safe leaving our backpack on the shore while snorkeling and swimming. Saw plenty of fish! There were food trucks as well as a kayak rental option but we did not partake of either.

This is where you'll find Blackbeard's Castle, the Three Queens, 99 Steps, and historical Danish homes. The Government House was pointed out to us on the hill, but the tour didn't really stop there. We started at Blackbeard's Castle. It was a downhill trek from there, which is fortunately much easier as you make your descent down the 99 Steps to the Three Queens sculpture. This is where we encountered an iguana sitting above us in a Shak Shak (Mimosa) tree. In the Kongen Quarter, we passed by the Villa Notman House. Unfortunately, it was difficult to see its beauty through all the palm fronds. It's a salmon pink house with white iron balcony railings that were imported from New Orleans. You can book a tour of the house if you have more time. It looks amazing in pictures. Hotel 1829 was once a home built for a French merchant before being converted to a hotel. It can be seen right before taking another set of steps down to Educators Park. The walking tour was a nice overview of what Government Hill has to offer. It was a great day full of cool Caribbean breezes and lots of sun & fun.

Government Hill has always been my fall back plan to snagging a parking spot that no one knows…read moreabout when going to eat out in town on run errands. Yep its the home of the Government House where the Governor works from when he isn't on St. Croix, and is also of where you can find the famous tourist attraction 99 steps (read my review) that goes to Blackbeard's castle. But going back to the parking spots, they sit in front of hotel 1829, which was apparently built in that year by a French captain, and I've never received a notice or seen anyone towed for parking there. It says reserved for their guests only but no one patrols it. You can also find a hidden spot or two behind the stall reserved for the Governor and Lt. Governor's car. If all of those spots are taken, there are more spots further down the hill. What I really love about this place is the garden that is across the street from Government House. I think its for the use of the people that work in Government House but no one has ever told me any differently anytime I've been there. The foliage has surprisingly completely grown back after the hurricanes and they have benches to relax on. This spot is definitely worth a stop if you're vising from a cruise ship and to also get in a scenic photo of the Charlotte Amalie Bay. #St.Thomas #USVI

It started at the fort, and then we went to a beautiful restaurant for appetizers and bushwhackers. Then we got tea nearby with another appetizer and made our way to the main course of chicken and rice with plantains. After that we got to play bartender at a famous bar, and we made ourselves painkillers. Finally, we finished up at a gorgeous family owned restaurant for bananas foster. Adults and children enjoyed!

We arrived early due to our flight time and were able to leave our luggage in the lobby while we headed to the beach. By the time we sat, they had our room ready (before 1pm). Each room is designed differently/privately owned. Ours was set up nicely with a great view from the balcony and a coffee pot. Our only complaint was the cleanliness of the shower and some of the construction that was going on at the resort, especially for the price we paid even in the off season. At Coki Beach, you arrive expecting a quiet little Caribbean beach... and instead you get something…read morefar more entertaining a lively slice of island life. Parking can be a bit of a treasure hunt and you might have to pay a few bucks to tuck your vehicle somewhere respectable, but once you step onto that sand the water steals the show. Crystal clear, warm, and loaded with reef fish, this spot is famous for some of the easiest snorkeling on Saint Thomas just walk right in and you're suddenly swimming in what feels like a natural aquarium. Right next door sits Coral World Ocean Park, where they've been studying and showing off Caribbean sea life since 1978, which explains why the waters around Coki are absolutely teeming with colorful fish. But the real charm here isn't just the water it's the scene. Picture beach bars pouring rum punches, food stands grilling up island favorites, music drifting across the sand, and an assortment of savory characters , "I'm not saying it's a party... but it's definitely not a library." It's colorful, a little chaotic, and completely unforgettable the kind of beach where the snorkeling is world-class and the people-watching might be even better.

We rented from Jaw Beach Rentals, where we interacted with a staff member named Bennie (recognizable by his large beard). During our interaction, he was quite impolite and used inappropriate language, which made us feel uncomfortable. What was more concerning is that we also observed similar behavior toward other couples nearby, suggesting this may not have been an isolated incident. Coki Point Beach itself is beautiful, with clear water and excellent snorkeling, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Situations like this take away from what should otherwise be a relaxing and enjoyable visit. I hope this feedback is taken constructively and that there is better oversight to ensure visitors are treated with basic respect and professionalism.
