I recently had a massive tree fall in my backyard during a storm - we got lucky that it happened at 2AM, no one was hurt, and it also didn't damage any cars or homes, but it did destroy my fence, shed, and damage my garage. This is the first time I've really ever had to file a home insurance claim, and as anyone who's ever dealt with insurance knows, it can all be very confusing. The way it was explained to me, it seemed like I was going to be stuck paying a very large bill, and insurance would only be covering a very small part of it. As most millennials do, I went to social media for help. Skyler, one of the owners, reached out to me and felt that he could help. He said they had a lot of experience working with insurance and knew how things needed to be written up for it to benefit me most. He seemed to know what he was talking about, so I moved forward with them. And he was correct - insurance ended up covering the entire quote. Unfortunately, the tree fell during a period of weeks long heavy rains, and there were a lot of emergency situations where they weren't able to get to me immediately, but they got to me in the time frame Skyler told me, and any time there was any change, he texted me immediately and always communicated in a timely manner. Skyler was easy to work with, made some compromises to be able to help me, and I felt as if I was a priority for them. After seeing the quality of their work in our neighborhood and meeting with the company's sales rep, hiring SOS roofing for the job was an easy decision. The sales rep was very quick to set up a visit after we initially contacted the company. While at our house, he thoroughly explained what needed to be done as part of our roof replacement, the materials that would be used, the steps of the job, and the warranty of the materials & workmanship. He then provided us with all of the shingle options along with his recommendations and gave us a fair estimate. Shortly after we contacted the SOS Roofing office manager to accept the estimate and give our material decisions, we were given a date for the job. A dumpster and all the materials arrived the day before the job started. The roofing crew who performed our roof replacement were outstanding! They worked incredibly hard and meticulously to complete the job to our satisfaction. Throughout much of the job, a foreman was present to support the crew and answer all of our questions. The day after the completion of our job, the dumpster was hauled away and the owner came out to do a final job inspection. He was very thorough in looking over the whole job and immediately addressing any concerns we had. While there, we both came to the conclusion that a 70' gutter on the back of our house needed to be replaced! While he didn't come to our house expecting to complete this added step, he took the time to take care of it because he was motivated to get it done right away! It was very obvious to us how much pride the owner has in his company and how important customer satisfaction is to him. It was a real pleasure working with the entire SOS Roofing team.
