He prices it real low to get the job then comes back with "It ended up being more than we thought" (like he's never priced or done a tree like yours) I know several he has done this to. Derrick was the only one who was confident that he didn't need anyone to climb the trees, despite their size and placement on a fairly steep hillside. Every other service who came out was openly worried and expressed several concerns, which left me with very little faith in their capabilities. Derrick's crew arrived on time, and took down all five huge trees by the end of the same day. About a week or two later, I noticed that part of my driveway had been notched when the stump grinder was used on a tree that was really close to the driveway. I contacted Derrick and he was apologetic and immediately promised to have it repaired. He had a professional driveway service come out, make the patch, and fill the seam to join it to the main driveway. Great service, reasonable rates, and taking immediate care of an issue after the sale? What more could a homeowner ask for from any contractor? I'll be calling Derrick any time I need help with tree trimming or removal again.
