While the job was by far the least costly during the refurbishment, and also the lowest bid I received from garage door installation companies, it was essential for security and functionality. The installation wasn't seamless due to some manufacturer quality-control issues, but Joe was on top of the problem and had the components replaced by the manufacturer. Throughout the process, he diligently oversaw all installations. Even at the end, when I was willing to accept the flawed panel (a high bar, as I can be pretty demanding), Joe wanted it perfect. He went ahead, had the manufacturer replace the panel in question, and had his crew install the new panel, all on his own. Then after they offered free in-person estimate to get a better view so I went ahead and took it. He quoted me three hundred and forty five dollars to fix it. I told him that I had purchased those motors and that the estimate seemed high to me. I told him that I preferred not to do the work. He asked me how much I thought the work was worth and I told him that I did not like to put a price on another person's work. He insisted and we agreed on a price of three hundred dollars. When the work was finished the technician did not call me and instead pushed for my older relative to sign a paper which she did not have the time to read. The technician represented that the work was done in accordance to code and never admitted to replacing the Lift Master with an inferior motor. My older relative and my house keeper trusted this company and paid to have proper work performed. When I got home I saw that electrical cables leading to the wall button were left exposed and that the wall button is nothing like the others that match my brand of equipment. There appears to be an intermittent problem so that I sometimes have to hold the button down for the heavy solid wood garage door to go down completely. What is worse is that I discovered that my Lift Master motor had been replaced with an inferior Chamberlain motor and that the technician took my Lift Master motor. The next day [ today] after the work was performed and my relative paid the three hundred dollars I have tried to call this company seven times and only an answering machine answers. In my opinion the work and the response are unacceptable. This situation is causing my family and me great stress. This experience has been horrible and I feel completely betrayed. I am giving this company a chance to address these issues. If these issues are not resolved I will seek proper redress in court and report the outcome.
