They are so good at dealing with my anxiety. They tell me what they are doing and why, they respect I NEVER want to see the needle and tell me when to close my eyes. Today I went in for a deep cleaning which was different and being done by a different professional. I struggle with anxiety so seeing someone new was difficult at first and I had a slight breakdown when I reacted differently than usual to the numbing agent than I usually do. But the office staff was quick to get the doctor and they had Katie (my favorite dental assistant!) come in and assist with the service to make me more comfortable. Katie did such a good job at immediately calming me down and overall the staff was super understanding of my anxiety And this level of understanding is what keeps me coming back.

But they will split the charge with me. Last time my wife went in same BS , they will split it. They blamed the insurance or course. We are so happy they are there and when I must had an issue Dr. Turbo took him in and made the time to be sure Paul's issue was resolved . He took the time and that means so much. They tell clients…read morewho have Dental insurance that they have co-pays for cleanings (like medical co-pays) when in reality they are "OUT-OF-NETWORK SURCHARGES". I called my insurance who confirmed there are NO such thing as "co-pays" with our dental plan! When I confronted the office manager and subsequently the dentist about this (after being a customer for 20 years), the dentist told me to "think of insurance as a coupon". I'm sorry but our Dental Insurance is not cheap and is in no way "a coupon". Their charges (and extra surcharges) for any type of dental work are astronomical because they are "Out of Network" with all insurance plans. They also added a ridiculous, rigid policy charging if you need to re-schedule an appt. They are now in it to milk every $ possible from you....very sad that they went this route!

My first sign should have been that Dr. Matute said that can't happen, which if you look it up, it can. But, I gave him the benefit of doubt because he had great reviews. I expressed to him how important my teeth are to me, actually teared up, and I need them fixed and my previous dentists just kept me coming in for different things to bill and not addressing the open mouth. My teeth, other than the open mouth, were in good shape, loved going to the dentist and went faithfully every 6 months.( I know, weird). He apologized for what others had done to me and said he could fix my teeth with Invisalign. I was so happy. I started in December 2024. By April 2025, at an appt., I complained about the spacing that was happening that I never had. He assured me that by December it would be better. Every 6 wks I went back and complained as well as several texts in between, he again said by December it will be fine " I promise, have faith". In September, we actually got into an argument about the spacing, as I said it is getting worse. I started recording my visits as every complaint, the only thing they said was "Are you using your chewy's?" Like I am a child paying $10,000 and not listening to the dentist. When December came and it was time to end the Invisalign, he said see you next week to get your night guards. I said what about these composite resin on my teeth. He said he would take them off next week. Next visit, he spent approximately 4 minutes and said looks good to me how about you. Well if you have been in a dentist chair you know you can't always feel things right away, and he made me feel like I was a bother to him and he couldn't wait to leave the room. My teeth are now worse than they have ever been IN MY LIFE. I still have resin on every tooth, which feels like my teeth are filthy, space between some teeth that is a venue for cavities and can you tell which picture is from December 2024 and which is December 2025 that cost me $10,000. Next 2 visits he couldn't be bothered to come in to see me. I know you can't tell by the pics, but my teeth are ruined.

We were previously going to an all-female practice in Cumberland, RI which we loved. Due to an insurance change we've made a switch (well, my wife and daughter will soon - I'm the guinea pig), and the difference is barely noticeable - 5-stars then, 5-stars now. Each staff member I met was warm, with a joyful demeanor - seriously! The dental assistant, Katie, was wonderful, very informed and notably concerned with my comfort. I also briefly met Lori, another assistant, and she too was very nice. The hygienist, Laurie, is outstanding. She has a lot of experience, and obviously remains quite happy and satisfied with her work. She has an incredibly gentle and deft touch during a cleaning. I should disclose that I actually enjoy having my teeth cleaned. Laurie is probably the 12th hygienist to have cleaned my teeth and she's in the top two, easy. Last but not least: Dr. Sharma. She is a lovely person and a highly competent dentist. She spent quite a bit of time during the first exam to get to know me, my history, as well as any concerns I might have. I'm happy to say that I now know I will continue to look forward to visiting the dentist.
