The smoked sardine on focaccia was quite delicious with the perfect blend of saltiness and sweetness from the potato to provide a well balanced bite. Uvedoble was our first intro to proper tapas and damn was it delicious! Everything we ordered seemed better than the next. The choice of ingredients were interesting and some were definitely elevated in ways we hadn't experienced before! My runaway favorite were the jamon croquettes. They were made in house with a very light crispy exterior and pillowy smooth interior. The jamon gave it a really nice meaty and smoky aroma within. It was easily the best jamon croquette I've ever experienced and likely ruined everything comparable in the States back home. The most unique dish was probably the mushroom and leek ravioli in Malaga mayonnaise soup. The flavors were just so phenomenal! It was earthy, creamy, and rich! The skin of the raviolo (each order only comes with one) was also remarkably thin. My second unique favorite were the oxtail meatballs. I love oxtail so it was extra fun to see it presented in a way I've never experienced! As a meatball it was super tender and very fall apart which actually worked well with the fries because it guaranteed each bite to have some ox tail with it! As for service, be prepared to speak Spanish (and only Spanish) or get creative. We wrote down all our orders on notes and showed our waitress. I'm sure even she was grateful to not have to live through our butchery of the language. Dinner WITH a bottle of wine for 5 was under 80 euros. INSANE! It was so worth each and every bite! read more

Food: everything we had was delicious and very flavorful. We had squid with black toasted noodles, foie gras terrine, duck with mango sauce, and grill shrimp mini kabab (wrapped like an egg roll) Atmosphere: fun, easy going and always busy. The Spaniards definitely eat later around 9:30-11:30pm. We've acclimated and ate later than normal USA times. Ppl actually talk and not on the phone which was refreshing to see. This was a good tapas place and can even be more if you don't get the tapa sized portions! I recommend the following: - albondiga (meatball) - a nice twist on the classic, as it is made of shredded oxtail. The thinly sliced fries were a nice touch too. - fidue + calamar (black noodles with local baby squid) - really well done and flavorful! The food here looked really good so I had to give it a try when I visited Malaga. We shared half portions of the spicy potatoes, squid ink fideua, lamb on couscous, oxtail meatballs, and duck magret. The potatoes were a really nice start to the meal. The small potatoes were soft and tender, and that chipotle-like mayo was creamy and delicious, though not spicy at all. The fideua looks really interesting, and I enjoyed the pasta when eating it with the creamy garlic mayo. However, the short noodles have an odd texture between crunchy and soft that I didn't like too much, and there was hardly any actual squid on top. The lamb was delicious. The 2 pieces of tender, slow-cooked lamb meat was fall-apart tender with just a slight gamey flavor. Similarly, the 2 oxtail meatballs were also fall-apart tender. I love oxtail and it's the best to get it in meatball or burger form, since you don't have to deal with the annoying bones of oxtail. Finally, the duck was amazing. It had a really nice sear and some crisp on the edge. Eating the meat with that thick layer of fat was decadent and savory. And topping it with some of the diced mango was perfect. Overall, I really enjoyed the food I had here. Their tapas are modern and well-executed. Great lil tapas place for our first night in Malaga! Loved that you can order a tapas, medium or entree size of many of the menu items. A wide array of tapas, great wine selection and beer on tap! We ordered the salmon tartare, tuna carpaccio, the mini burger which was amazing, the fideos, and the shrimp ravioli! But my fave was the pistachio bizcocho dessert - AMAZING!! We came here on a busy Thursday evening, were told the wait was 30 minutes and after reading all the positive reviews we decided the wait would be worth it. We came back at the designated time and waited a few more minutes before being seated. I'm not sure if they were understaffed or if it's always that chaotic since I have nothing to compare to but the girls were running around with their heads cut off. It was organized chaos, but I felt bad that there were only 2 or 3 of them and the place was so busy. We were given a menu, in Spanish, and left alone with that for about 10-15 minutes. Seeing like it's a touristy place we were confused why we didn't get an English menu and struggled to figure out what we wanted. Thanks to google translate, our own mediocre Spanish skills and finally the waitresses recommendations we were able to decide on some dishes. Most of the tapas we got were very good, the entree we chose was on the saltier side for our preferences but overall a good meal. Unfortunately it did not leave us feeling full and satisfied, and instead of bothering the waitress to try to figure out more tapas options we just left. It was on the pricer side of tapas for what we had encountered during our trip to Spain, I'd say my favorite tapas were in Seville and Granada. read more
