Excellent service - good coffee; souvenirs a little pricey, but lots of variety. Great location.

The sandwiches are excellent, stuffed with great ingredients. The coffee was as good as coffee gets. Most of the store sells tourist trinkets which is fine, but the restaurant part is very worth it. The menu is very unclear, with limited descriptions only in Spanish. But trust the sandwiches. Always trust the sandwiches. Even if you don't know what you're getting. It'll be good. Service is abrupt, to the point, and confusing for a first timer. All the more reason to go back again after you figure out how it works and what to expect. read more

Where the locals go to have a coffee and breakfast plus lots of cheap souvenirs for tourists. We western scrambled eggs but the it came with the precooked bacon. Coffee was excellent. Very reasonable prices. read more

Bright turquoise shop in the city center. It's in a brightly turquoise and white store front by the center park. Cafe is on the left when you walk in. A variety of random gifts everywhere else. Costume jewelry, nose rings, pottery coffee sets, poker tables, kitchen chef decor, religious figurines, figurines of any and all kids of animals from geckos, frogs, owls and elephants too. Beach wear and island wear in general and poor quality embroidered hats too. Tax is about 12% here, quite high here for PR. Inane and insane actually. $12.99 for a frog and I paid $14.48 after tax. read more

A nice cafe & souvenir shop in Ponce, we enjoyed our time here picking out souvenirs but our breakfast experience was "meh." Their carrot muffin was way too sweet and cafe con leche was just milk coffee. My cappuccino was slightly better and my meat pie was decent and filling for me. Needed to use their restroom and it took forever to even find where it is in the back, and then some more to find the attendant to show the receipt to in order to gain entrance. Needless to say, I almost pissed my pants. Good place to pick up PR coffee as their price is like half that of Dutyfree shops in the airport. They had really large selection of t-shirts too, though I could not find L sizes (they were all Small!) on good t-shirts, maybe they did not restock quickly enough. Did manage to pick up some good quality ones. On top of that, they have all kinds of key chains, jewelries, hats, beach towels, decorative hangings, dresses, etc etc so you should spend some time here picking things out! Souvenir shop gets a 4.5 from me but the cafe unfortunately gets a 2 for a combined score of 3. Maybe I'll have better luck at the cafe next time because people were lining up here and the atmosphere was definitely inviting and good. read more

This is a great place to go for souvenirs. You WILL find something for everyone there from shot glasses, refrigerator magnets, t-shirts and key chains, but also way more. Stayed in ponce for two nights with my husband and on the morning before leaving we tried this place out for breakfast, and so glad we did! So cheap, simple and good!!! Worst place in town. Extremely overprice, a tourist tramp. They overcharged me for two different items. $22.99 for a $10.99 boy's shirt and $39.99 for a $16.99 women's dress. The fitting room it's not open, which is understandable, but I went to return a dress that didn't fit the next day and they refuse to return the money, only store credit, even though I spent almost $200 in souvenirs. This is a cute little, no HUGE souvenir store/breakfast/coffee place in Ponce (southern PR.) You'll find your usual liquors, candies, shot glasses, magnets and all kinds of bric-a-brac to fill up your luggage with. At the hotel we stayed at, we played a game of dominoes (very popular thing to do here) and one friend picked up a cute wood box of dominoes--box proudly emblazoned with the Puertorrican flag! It was only $15 here, and when I saw the same set at other gift stores, they were all $20, so if dominoes is your game I would get them here. I picked up a magnet in the shape of the machete (a lot of stuff was in the shape of a machete--but not in a Friday the 13th kind of way. I think it has to do with the sugar cane.) We stopped in the next day for breakfast/coffee. Their coffees get up to 12 oz -- watch out! That's huge here ;) In addition to coffee, I had the chicken burrito thingy with lettuce and tomato. It was okay. It seems like locals like to hang their hats here at the long counter and chill for a while. This place opens at 7am and I think (?) was open until 7pm but I wasn't sure; good hours for sure, though. read more

Cafe con leche was amazing! Had the ham and cheese all the way, it was delicious! Husband had the toast with egg and ham, it was just okay. This place completely saved us on our last day in PR. My fiancee and I were looking for a place to have breakfast AND a souvenir shop during our last morning. The cafe we wanted to eat at was closed and we were beginning to stress because of the drive we had to take to San Juan for our flight. Utopia caught our eyes with the coffee sign in the window and we figured we would just eat and forego the shopping. Well, as soon as we walked in the door we could not stop smiling from ear to ear! To our left was a little cafe with the best coffee ever and right in front of us was every single souvenir (local art pieces as well as made in china knick knacks) we could ever want! We ordered breakfast, which was delicious, and shopped while it was being prepared. Give yourself plenty of time to browse here as there are tons of things to choose from. I've had the chance to visit Utopia in 3 different occasions. The first two times I went for brunch and lunch, the turkey wraps and tripletas are great: very delicious, good serving size and nice presentation. Last time I went for an iced coffee and a Frappuccino, but they had almost no syrup or topping, the presentation was not impressive, very plain, my Frappuccino was lacking in coffee flavor tasted more like milk with sugar. The somewhat limited menu has enough delicious items at very good prices to keep even locals like myself coming back often. Some reviews mention slow service, but this isn't fast food; everything is prepared when it's ordered. Simply ask that your coffee be served before the meal, sit back and enjoy. You might prefer to look over a large collection of antiques and photographs of Ponce from long ago or stroll through the huge store of souvenirs, knick-knacks, clothing, jewelry and much more. Great breakfast sandwiches at a great price! This place is actually inside of a souvenir shop so don't expect it to be a full on restaurant, but the food was good. It did take a little while to get the food but they only have two people working and they make everything from scratch- so those that complained on their review about how long it took, I have one thing to say to you...."It ain't McDonald's" it's not going to take 2 mins! As a souvenir store, it is what it is. The most memorable thing was the staff. Bought a little box of assorted candies for my three kids on their first trip to PR. Cashier didn't even make eye contact while she yelled at other staff members. Then got randomly stopped on my way out, accused of not paying by another staff member, who then went to check with the cashier to see if I paid. When she somehow confirmed that I had, I was allowed to leave. No apology for the mistake or explanation for what prompted the grand investigation in front of my kids. Would recommend avoiding unless that kind of customer service is for you. read more
