The dark side:-- When problems occur, SBSU officials and employees, online and by phone, tend to be rude and disrespectful, sometimes in the extreme. In one instance, an unfamiliar name appeared on my account. In a laborious phone exchange, over several weeks, SBSU bank officials refused to delete the improper person's name. They insisted that it didn't make any difference to the security of my account. It was only when I threatened to withdraw my entire account and redeposit it in another bank that the relented and deleted the name from my records. More recently, I tried to send money through Zelle and, after demanding unnecessarily repetitive proofs and authentications, refused to activate my ability to send money to an individual. I am now seriously considering transferring my money to another bank.

Great customer service, the personal bankers and bank tellers at this branch are really friendly, quick and helpful. It's located conveniently surrounded by a lot of other businesses plus closed to the outlet mall so it's always busy here. Don't come during lunch hours because it's usually a long wait. If you want a quick trip in and out the bank, come here early in the morning or before they close. I'm always happy with their service here so highly recommend it.

For the last year, there have been several problems and it Seems to be getting worse. Somehow the bank has changed how they deposit my money. They now deposit my money whenever they feel like it. My deposit is on the 1st, the 5th, and I have even waited until the 10th. When you call in and talk to someone they act as if you are bothering them!! I even went to my local branch in St. George on River Rd, signed in and waited for 40 minutes while 3 employees were having a discussion about their weekend. I finally got to talk to someone about my direct deposit and they went through my history and saw that for the last couple of years my deposit were made on or before the 26th. However, they told me that things have changed and they deposit the money as soon as they get it. I had set up automatic payment around the 26th but since the bank has changed it has screwed up my bills.I dont understand them. The VA has not changed when they deposit my money. The manager was so helpful that I decided to open a personal account and move my own funds from a credit union to this bank. He provided caring and professional service throughout my initial visit and when all was accomplished he asked me if there was anything else he could help me with. I explained my difficulty finding a primary doctor in the area that was accepting new patients. He got on the phone, checked with his personal physician's clinic and found several doctors there, accepting new patients. That's the type of service I appreciate, a manager who helps not only with banking needs, but assistance to someone new to the area with other needs! When all was said and done, I had a wonderful new doctor, a new bank with outstanding staff, and a beautiful new community I call home ...one that thrives on being kind and helpful to someone new to the area.
