This was for a package going to a deployed soldier in Europe, which made the whole situation even more frustrating. What should have been a quick, routine visit turned into a complete waste of time. No effort, no accountability, just excuses. If you value your time and sanity, avoid this location.

If I get a "ticket", in my po box, to go to the counter, I look to see if there's any line. I printed a mailing label, WITH THE USPS SYSTEM, the items weight was correct, 5 oz, the envelope was a FLAT 13" x 10" envelope containing ONLY documents. THEIR system computed the postage as $5.30 for 1st Class Service. I mailed TWO identical envelopes. One was delivered without issue. The other wasn't sent and the Lampasas post office employee wanted another $4.45 to mail the envelope! Her explanation was the mailing label contained the letters "PKG" on the label. I said, "so what!" I told her THEIR SYSTEM CREATED THE LABEL AND CHARGED ME THE $5.30! She WOULD NOT MAIL the envelope unless I paid AN ADDITIONAL $4.45! The stupid employee wasn't aware that an IDENTICAL envelope went thru THEIR post office with no change in postage!
