But a coworker of mine needed some supplies in a hurry, and since the box was going to be fairly large and contain some fragile items, I figured UPS would be a better bet. There was a substantial line out the door when I arrived, but it probably only took 15 minutes for me to get up to the counter since they were very well staffed. While I was in line, I noticed that they really offer quite a lot of services I wasn't aware of, including document shredding and printing of posters and mailers. They even have greeting cards. They were also fundraising for Toys for Tots at the counter, and accepting donations for the cause, and I'm always a sucker for a business that supports good causes!

We were told the following excuses: "we have to clock out", "this is a busy location and "we can do a couple of your returns only, because "we have 4 hours of work in the back" "this is a franchise locally owned and we have to clock out at 3pm" the two reps Ignoring the fact that customers were in the store trying to check out, that needed taking care of completely, not just a couple of the packages. I felt rushed and like I didn't matter. I also noticed rudeness towards another customer completing a transaction right before us. Unacceptable. We left ASAP as we will never do business with a company that treats their customers this way. It wasn't even busy! Unbelievable. I'd recommend driving to a different location and avoid this one. Customer service is not their top priority.

That said, my experience here was quick and the service relatively pleasant. The person in front of me with mailing a shoe box size package somewhere via FedEx's overnight service. His bill came to almost $80. He walked out the door, walked back in and asked whether she'd applied his discount, and she said that yes, that was the price after the discount. I seriously considered asking him where he was mailing it to because if it was anywhere in Michigan he could pay me that much and I'd drive it there personally.

Just go on Reddit and see how awful this reputation is. I've never had issues with UPS or anyone else. Why is this such a hassle with FEDEX.
