This location is convenient by my work, so I stopped by on my lunch. I came in with prepaid shipping labels (meaning I already paid for postage) and they told me it's $1/ label. I had 4 packages with the prepaid USPS code. At all other USPS locations, they print the labels, attach to your package, and on your way you go. I don't understand how I already paid for the shipping service and they charge in addition?! I feel like they are double-dipping with the contract they have with USPS, $1/label isn't much, but if your already paid for the label/package how does this make sense?? This would effect any reseller (Facebook marketplace orders, Poshmark, Amazon that provides labels). Also, one of the staff from management is always smoking outside the front door, and the entire store smells like cigarette smoke. Eww I will take the extra time to drive to another shipping facility before visiting them again.

So I walked in scanned my package and yes there was absolutely no place to drop off what I scanned. I looked all over even outside of the branch, but there was no drop off bin anywhere. I had to drive to a different branch just to drop it off. Make it make sense. Typical USPS logic. Unfortunately we're stuck with them as the only game in town. But this money losing, incompetent organization is sorely in need of privatization and reorganization.

This is a smaller station located east of I-95 on Palmetto Park Road in a shopping center with a…read morePublix, a Hallmark store, and a You Fit. There's a nice size parking lot right in front. The employees are friendly and if there's a line, they move through it quickly. I find myself using this post office more often since the one on Boca Rio is always so crowded and it takes forever to get to the self-serve kiosk. All of my packages are pre-labeled so I just need to scan them at the kiosk. This makes life much easier. I find that I can breeze into this station, scan my packages and be out within a few minutes. That's a definite win-win for me.

There is no signage on PPR, so don't look for any. There are 3 postal clerk Windows, an automated postal station. about 200 post office boxes (mail delivered by 11 when there is enough staff to sort it) and an area where you can buy mailing supplies and greeting cards. I have my post office box at this location so I'm there several times a week. I avoid use of clerk Windows if I can, simply cause it takes time and I'm inpatient, although the queue does move quickly - as long as you don't get stuck behind patrons with 40 items to weight and mail or some FAU student half asleep in their pj's who is trying to find out an address on their iPhone and is just oblivious to everything. And yeah, what's up with wearing pjs in the street, like really, that's cool? The window clerks are fine. Joshua is very fine, indeed. Some are very friendly, know me by name. They all ask the same robotic-like questions like is there anything perishable or explosive or fragile in what you are mailing. There is sometimes a manager by the queue (to the clerks) who is attempting to expedite the line by directing people to the automated postal unit, or asking if they need help filling out forms. While that can be beneficial, I see it as a waste of managerial resources. Managers should oversee human resources and identify/resolve problems and not stand around asking people if they want to use automated machine. Oh, you can buy special issue stamps which I still like and use cause I mail cards and actually write LETTERS to people, while most Yelpers reading this likely think a text message or Messenger or FaceBook post is how you wish someone happy birthday or express sadness over the death of their husband or dog. Buy a damn card. Write something. Mail it. And put postage on it.

Around the Holidays you may have to wait in line with your packages, but the lines usually aren't very long and they move quickly. There's a parking lot with plenty of free parking. There are several post offices in Boca Raton. They open and close at different times. Some open at 8 am or 10 am and close at 5:00, 5:30, 6:00, or 6:30. I'm happy that my post office opens at 8 am and closes at 6:30 pm. The Saturday hours are 9 am to 5 pm. Sometimes I have to mail something at the last minute and those longer hours are very convenient.

Yes, I brought my tape, wrapping paper, gifts and just did it there. Very peaceful in the lobby area with full windows behind me and rows of post office boxes in front of me. I enjoyed hearing the sounds of busy people laughing and chatting and making noise behind the walls in the mailroom , muffled but not silent. This lobby area I believe is open 24/7. Then I grabbed the right priority mail box - which I realize now costs how much you can shove in to it and not by weight- and headed inside to the reception desks, where I waited for the 1 person in front of me to finish before I was served, by a very kind and patient person (thank you!).
