They ask their patients to return the favor by serving their neighbor in need the same amount of service to three people within three months & ask to return a letter telling the story of their service. Patients are given 1 month to write to story of at least one act of kindness. If they don't receive the letter within 1 month, they will not be able to have follow up visits in the future. Patients are able to enroll in a prescription plan if they choose, most prescriptions are written in the $4 prescription list. Lab orders are done through a discounted service. They also have a podiatry clinic once a month. I'm a volunteer here as a pre-PA student so I cannot say much about the physician-patient experience, just what some of the provisions of the clinic are for those that want to visit!

It is a clinic for the uninsured and homeless that does not collect any sort of monetary payment, however it does require patients to "pay-it-foward." The pay-it-foward program asks patients to do three acts of kindness, write a letter describing the act and how it made them and the recipient feel, and return the letter within a month of being seen. The clinic visit does not cost money, however lab work and prescriptions must be paid for out of pocket. Lab work is able to be done for extremely affordable, discounted prices and most all prescriptions can be purchased for $4 a month. The clinic is run by volunteers. None of the physicians, nurses or office staff are paid! Everything in the clinic is paid for by donations from the community. The clinic is open Mondays from 8AM-Noon, Wednesdays from 2-6PM. Be sure to get there when they open, only a certain number of patients can be taken per day and there is often a line by the time the clinic opens! Clinic does not take appointments. There are certain clinic days specifically for OB/GYN, optometry, orthopedic visits. Check in with the clinic to make an appointment for these services.

I was told on 23 NOV 2021 by the foster mom "I sent all your texts to the operator of the rescue I foster for and she's very happy with everything your doing to ensure Avalanche's arrival. Her only concern is if for whatever reason it doesn't work out and we have to come get him your all the way in Georgia and not that we're saying it won't work we just have to think of every possible scenario for Avalanche's safety is all. But you seem sincere and I've been talking to her about it." I then told the foster mom I would sign whatever needed that would require me to return him to Nevada. The foster mom and I then messaged everyday. I got all the things he would need and want. I got the food he was on, his favorite treats, toys, brush, leashes, collar, harness, toothbrush, shampoo, seat belt for his harness, bed, crate etc. I scheduled a vet appointment and two daycare evaluations locally as well as to meet with a professional trainer. Then on 06 DEC I was emailed that I cannot adopt him as I live out of state and that's their policy. This was the first I was told that policy. I've since offered to fly out there (I was going to have a rescue group transport him for me which I filled out all that paperwork) and rent a car and drive back myself (2,000 miles). I offered to do a FaceTime and have any other person they trusted that was local (from another rescue organization) to see my home as they require a home inspection. Now they are messaging me telling me "Please reach out to those rescues who will make exceptions. We will not make the exception. Thank you. We will no longer entertain ANY messages or emails from you as we have been clear on our end". I feel betrayed as I couldn't sleep the night they told me. I kept looking at everything I had ready for him and crying. I thought rescuing an animal was the right thing to do and instead I'm left with a broken heart. It's not okay what they did to me.

Each season is beautifully done with festive displays, lights, and decorations that make you feel like you've stepped into a storybook. There's so much to do for all ages...a charming train ride through the forest, a classic carousel, the fun Avalanche Slide, and endless photo opportunities everywhere you turn. It's perfect for families, date nights, or even just a cozy night out with friends. The beer garden is a great touch for adults, while kids (and kids at heart) can enjoy hot cocoa and funnel cakes. Everything is thoughtfully laid out and keeps the energy fun and festive without feeling overwhelming. What really makes this place special is knowing that your visit supports a great cause while creating lasting memories. The staff and volunteers are friendly, and you can tell a lot of heart goes into making this event magical every year. Highly recommend making this a seasonal tradition, it's pure joy, nostalgia, and holiday spirit all in one

As seen, in my Pics The Gift Shop's items' isn't priced too badly; there were some items that I was considering, but you know how it is, after the Holidays, your bank account is pretty lean; I have a lot of people to buy for, I've got a large family. There were five Grinch- themed trees. Many of the trees were decorated very nicely. It's a beautiful sight to see. We went on the Carousel, and we did two rounds of Mini-Golf, which was fun. We also went down the Avalanche twice. Stringbean went three times. Gone are the years of seeing all of the Gingerbread Houses. Now, there are a lot of fundraising food/drink stands, I get it, it's an organization.
