Please please visit the BBB website before signing a contract here. I've known several people that…read morehave had issues with Super Kicks Karate over contract and cancellation policy. They typically PRESSURE you into signing a contract immediately. They want you to sign a basic contract at the very minimum to get you in the door. Then, once you have been pressured into signing a long term contract(6 month minimum), they badger your child every single class afterwards to get the parent to upgrade to the more expensive leadership contract(9 month minimum). Difference in price is about $50-$100. The classes are crowded and the child might learn how to do the same one punch for several 30 minute classes twice a week. You don't learn how to truly defend yourself. Essentially you are purchasing a black belt. Your child will learn how to say "yes sensii, no sensii", and will not be able to defend themselves from a bully. It's sad how they tell the children in the basic program($150/per month) that if they want to spar, or if they want to learn kicks, or if they want to be with the cool leadership program($200/per month) kids that they needed to ask mom and dad to upgrade. There isn't isn't a class where the basic program kids aren't badgered and reminded how the program that their parent chose...sucks! Before signing check out the BBB website. Most people like my friends opted to simply not resign, and others took legal action. Read the responses from the owner. He has his people be aggressive in their selling of contract tactics. I was with my friend when she was considering this school. It's very crowded, and you child will become bored quickly. Beware. The female saleswoman is the worse. Like a politician. The goal here isn't fighting. It's scamming you into signing a long term contract. If your kid learning how to say yes Ma'am, and yes sir is your goal, take them to this school. If your goal is self defense, your kid will get their butts kicked. The owner is flexible and can do the splits....that's about it. His instructors are out of shape and pudgy. Go see for yourself.

Everyone introduced themselves to me and I felt like part of the group before my first class was over. Since then I have worked hard and am now in my black belt apprenticeship. I am greatful for the work and time my Grand Master ( Dr. White ) and Sensei's have put into making me not only a good Martial Artist ,but a better person all the way around. You won't be able to walk onto any dojo floor and train with your grand master. It's been tough. Limits have pushed, but I am so greatful for every moment of it. This was suppose to be a challenge and it has been. I plan on always pushing and striving to reach that next level . With people like Shihan White behind me I know that will always be a possibility. I recommend Kenaki to anyone looking to try Martial Arts. The staff is wonderful and they work with children ages 3 and up. My own children take karate lessons at Kenaki, and I am very impressed with their growing self control and confidence they have obtained so far. Everyone get to try a class for free! Check them out!

I made the financial sacrifice because my son needed something like this after being beat up in school. Coming here really boosted his self-esteem and confidence. When other activities (baseball!!) take us from our normal participation levels, there is never judgement, only welcoming arms when we settle back into routine. My children are 14 and 11. There are many students in that age cluster. The location is easily accessible off Route 51 near the Arboretum, and the class schedules allows for flexibility to your week. We are completely satisfied and look forward to continued growth with URMA!

I lost my voice, I could not breath or eat well. They kept giving me medications, and with each pill I got prescribed I felt how my life slipped away in my hands. I finally found a naturopath doctor that helped me some, then a Chinese Doctor that helped me a bit more, then a friend of mine recommended Dr Camilo. I have recovered my voice, I am able to eat almost everything without pain, and I can breathe fine. They are running their business while taking care of their littles. They care about their business but they also care for their students and their students' respective families. They understand family life and they are fully aware of the current economy that we are living in. I inquired at other martial arts studios around Ballantyne and I have to tell you they charge thousands of dollars and they require a year commitment. At Master O's its NOT required to have a year commitment. It's month to month. Also, if the unforeseeable happens, all you need to do is give them a two weeks notice to pause or cancel your membership. I AM SO IMPRESSED with this Dojo. My daughter loves it so much. She looks forward to going to class 3 times a week. My daughter is shy and she has the tendency to be bullied because she doesn't know how to stand up for herself and I am confident that Master O will help her get out of shell and equip her with the proper skills to stand up to any aggressors. Master O has a promotion right now where your child can try a month of martial arts for only $24. You read that right!!! $24!!! A month is a sufficient time to determine if this dojo is for your child or not. After our first day, I already knew we will be with Master O for a while. The aura in the dojo is so light and it has a family vibe that you just feel so comfortable to be in. As soon as you step in the building, you will feel welcomed like a family. I cant say enough good things about this dojo. You gotta experience it yourself. REGISTER! You wont regret it.
