His attitude his performance his attention to instruction has improved 1500%. The disciplines learned with Sensei Ricky's guidance have made my grandson look at life differently. He now strives to excel in all ways of life. His cooperation and wiliness to share with his sister and the rest of the family has improved. I wholehearted recommend Sidekick Karate to everyone at any age. This weekend I watched 4 Senior Citizens (65+) perform in a Tomoe which tested the skills they have learned as new karate students. They all performed successfully. It's never to late..

Sidekick picks up children from their elementary schools and buses them to sidekick for karate after school. If your children need to stay longer after karate is over, there's a separate room with desks, a white board, a game system, a tv, changing rooms and bathrooms. On wednesdays they order pizza from dominos and feed the kids dinner and then around 6pm they go to a local church. This gives parents extra time to work or maybe time to run an errand before picking up their children. My son has learned a lot since he's started going to sidekick. The owners have absolutely thought of everything in terms of accommodations for children after school. You can tell that the owners truly care about the children in our community. We are lucky to have them as part of our community. I highly recommend sidekick karate for lessons, or for lessons and after school. It's well worth the money, and your children will learn impulse control, better judgement, overall discipline and they will get to socialize and be somewhere where you don't have to question whether they are cared for or not. I would 100% recommend Sidekick!

Super Kicks Karate - Mr Wegert mentoring some new black belts

Please please visit the BBB website before signing a contract here. I've known several people that…read morehave had issues with Super Kicks Karate over contract and cancellation policy. They typically PRESSURE you into signing a contract immediately. They want you to sign a basic contract at the very minimum to get you in the door. Then, once you have been pressured into signing a long term contract(6 month minimum), they badger your child every single class afterwards to get the parent to upgrade to the more expensive leadership contract(9 month minimum). Difference in price is about $50-$100. The classes are crowded and the child might learn how to do the same one punch for several 30 minute classes twice a week. You don't learn how to truly defend yourself. Essentially you are purchasing a black belt. Your child will learn how to say "yes sensii, no sensii", and will not be able to defend themselves from a bully. It's sad how they tell the children in the basic program($150/per month) that if they want to spar, or if they want to learn kicks, or if they want to be with the cool leadership program($200/per month) kids that they needed to ask mom and dad to upgrade. There isn't isn't a class where the basic program kids aren't badgered and reminded how the program that their parent chose...sucks! Before signing check out the BBB website. Most people like my friends opted to simply not resign, and others took legal action. Read the responses from the owner. He has his people be aggressive in their selling of contract tactics. I was with my friend when she was considering this school. It's very crowded, and you child will become bored quickly. Beware. The female saleswoman is the worse. Like a politician. The goal here isn't fighting. It's scamming you into signing a long term contract. If your kid learning how to say yes Ma'am, and yes sir is your goal, take them to this school. If your goal is self defense, your kid will get their butts kicked. The owner is flexible and can do the splits....that's about it. His instructors are out of shape and pudgy. Go see for yourself.

We joined as a family and my 7 and 9 year old are growing in confidence, self-discipline, and respect while I (Mom) am learning self-defense skills and developing flexibility I never thought I would have. I would highly recommend Super Kicks to anyone looking to learn Karate from people who know what they are doing and lead by example, while you bond with your family over a positive, energizing experience that will change you forever!
