I went with her and very clearly stated all of the issues in front of both my Mom and Donna S. Donna S suggested that her other doctors consider prescribing Donepezil - for memory issues and an amyloid blood test. However, when she went to Sherille Sevilla and Maridez Jenkins she does not remember all that was discussed and agreed. She tells them all that she was tired when she did the 3 hour assessment and it was not valid. I don't know why the doctors don't coordinate more and understand the report and all the notes. It is very clear from both the assessment and my statements to them that she has severe short term memory issues. The fact that instead of using the assessment and my very specific details they listen to her when she says that she is fine (because she does not remember anything) is just ridiculous. My understanding is that many of the prescriptions for memory only stop the progress. This means taking them sooner is better. This is not the first signs of memory issues for her at all. This has been ongoing and I finally had hope that doctors would help her and start addressing the issues. But they COMPLETELY FAILED us. Now I don't know what to do. She thinks everything is fine and it is truly terrible and sad. She was a college professor and incredibly smart. And her decline is awful - but made SO MUCH WORSE by doctors who do not coordinate and do not listen.

After multiple medical errors over the years by other doctors, that many doctors refused to properly document, she took the effort to review my records and provide the most accurate medical record that I have had since the first error in 2010- proving to be the most ethical doctor I have ever interacted with. It takes a special person to stand up against the flow in medical systems. She is that type of person. The type that would stand up and say that is wrong. Ethical enough not to work for system that were no aligned with her ethical integrity. A very rare find. She even found the root cause of the of the issues that were missed for years along with doing a very thorough GI work up-greatly improving symptoms and lessening risk damaging other organs. Noting that I have been going to a Functional Medicine GI doctor and did not have such a thorough GI work up. I wish her the best and hope that everything is ok with her. We are not sure why she ended up closing her practice, I hope everything is good, but rating her closing her practice is not rating her as the excellent doctor she is. I started seeing Dr. Michaud last year after my former FNP (and awful GI doc) ignored some serious symptoms. She has a great bedside manner, is smart, proactive, and thinks outside of the box. She even came up with possible diagnoses other specialists missed. Although we never figured out the cause, she took EVERYTHING I told her VERY seriously. As a veteran patient, I cannot count how many doctors downplay or ignore serious symptoms. Dr. Michaud not only does the opposite of those doctors but should also teach other doctors how to take their patients' concerns seriously. I was able to get in the following week after scheduling as a new patient and never had difficulty getting appointments. Her receptionist, Annabelle, and her MA, Rachel are friendly and helpful. I wish I found her sooner and had more time to be her patient. Thanks Dr. Michaud for listening to me and helping me as well as serving as an example for the care I hope to provide my patients as a family physician one day!

There are two simple reasons: 1) Scheduler doesn't allocate enough slots for current patients who have pressing medical needs 2) Dr has limited schedule and only works 30hrs a week. To compare, my kid's pediatrician has always accommodated same day appointments. I've asked him how he's able to do this and it's quite simple. Scheduling and the amount of hours he puts in. The staff here is good at telling people to call their Urgent Care. That's where the money maker is. These doctors don't have to work 40 hours or more or have a quota of patients to see a week. They get paid regardless. There's no reason for them to work longer days and accommodate their current patients. Saving the best for last. Was suffering from major pains and asked Dr for recommendation. Staff called back and said Dr isn't able to provide any because she hasn't seen me in almost 4 years. I laughed so hard. When I called this office and politely asked the MA for their name, I was met with attitude and a snarky "How may I help you?" simply for asking a basic question - he tone and unprofessionalism were what stood out. Upon further review, this doesn't appear to be an isolated incident--this type of attitude seems to be commonplace at this office. If multiple staff are responding this way, it suggests a larger issue with office stress levels, training, and customer service. Patients and caregivers deserve courtesy, transparency, and respect, not pushback for asking standard, reasonable questions.
