I thought it was OK although there was a long line. Based on the reviews I read I was expecting something really bad. There was one lady behind the counter and she was doing the best she could given the long line and she was all alone. She got some help when a man came out from the back and was fielding questions and giving people pick-up items if they had them. He spoke with me and answered my questions regarding change of address/mail forwarding and he was polite and reasonable. As a comparison, I went to a USPO in Hallandale and you had to walk up to a closed door and press a buzzer -- it was like some shady place with no counter/stamps for sale, etc. And the supervisor who came to the door was rude/sarcastic and his English was difficult to understand. read more

I went here today 3-27-2025 . I had an app for 12:15pm and was there 30 minutes prior so I can apply for a passport . Mind you I waited 3 weeks for this appointment . I walked in to this facility and I stood in line where it says passport . There where 2 young black employees behind the desk doing nothing . But I waited and waited until one said can I help you . I walked over and told her I had an appointment for a passport . The employee I was speaking to turned to the other employee and said she can help you . That employee without even looking up at me . Said the computers are down and next app. is in 4 weeks . What do these employees do then sit there . What has happened to customer service or just being a decent person . I've been dealing with the post office for many years and in different states, but nowhere have I experienced this level of total incompetence. Look at the photo I posted. A document that was mailed to this post office was returned as undeliverable. In my work we mail out statements and for years we have had complaints from our customers that they never receive them. Sometimes they are returned to me, even though they are correctly addressed. Most often they are not. We mailed them, the customer did not receive them, so where are they? We finally switched to a new system that sends our statements by email. If the post office won't even try to do their job properly we'll go around them. read more

On June 18th I created a passport/ passport photo appointment for an infant. The appointment was for July 12 at 1:15. The confirmation email states to be their 15 minutes prior to the appointment. We arrived at 12:55 with our tired baby. We promptly got in line. A woman came from the back and was asking people what they needed. When she got to us, we stated that we had a passport appointment. She said, "the person who does the appointments went home at noon." I explained about the appointment and she said, "well the lady went home. She works from 5am-noon." I asked why she didn't cancel the appointment and she explained their it's management's job to do that. Overall, the service was horrible. We had an appointment and got no service. The woman talking to us was quite rude and not helpful at all. We had to reschedule the appointment for August. If I could give them negative stars, I would. read more

Came here as this post office was closest to my house with an available appointment to get a Passport. Our first attempt to get a passport this week we went to our local post office. We learn that you need to get an appointment on line. So we went on line and the earliest appointment time available in our area was this location. When we arrived there was a huge parking lot out front. So plenty of spaces to park for free. In fact I can't imagine this place filling up. We went inside and there was one person behind the counter and she was working with someone on their passport. In fact she knew why we were there and checked our name off the list for appointments. After that we just waited for our time to be called up. Appointments are given in 15 minute intervals so by the time it came to us they were already behind schedule. No worries we had brought our passport photos that were taken at CVS. The application we got at our local Post office and had filled it out before we got here. We had the check for $110. first time Passport fee. Than another $35. that you pay separate to the post office for this service. They give you a sheet of paper to track the progress. Since we have no immediate travel plans this will take awhile between 4-6 weeks. read more

Look, no one expects a government agency to be "great;" I just wanted it to be decent. Unfortunately, even that was too much for this branch of our Federal Government. Everything you read - schedules, times, requirements - on the website are wrong. We got here at the exact time prescribed for passport walk ins, and was told that the times advertised are incorrect, the woman who handles is it out sick, but perhaps the manager can assist us. We waited - and waited - and the start time (as described by the employee who told us to wait) came and went without anyone coming to assist us. No information, no help. Time passed, and we continued to sit and wait. For mail and packages, there was one person working (literally, a single person), and I think someone in the back who never came out. The place is a dump, but again I'll overlook that since this is a government facility. The clerk who originally spoke to us and provided the initial information when we entered was polite, but she did say "I just work here" as a way to let us know that no one really cares. She updated us about 50 minutes after we walked in, to let us know the woman that can help us was "stuck in traffic." We continued to sit and wait. She came back again about an hour after the time started (90 minutes after we walked in per the website time) to tell us the passport clerk was still "in traffic." However, the Post Office manager came out, apologized (!) and brought each of us a bottled water. I must say, that was an incredible touch of customer service. Sure, this is a failed institution, but at least the employees know they've been put into an impossible situation and do their best to help when they can. Ultimately, the passport clerk never showed, and we waited an hour and 45 minutes. read more

The lady at the counter had a MAJOR attitude and they literally just opened. I had a US Postal money order that my mom sent me. I've never had to cash one of these before and didn't think that walking in this morning instead of waiting for it to be a little later was going to be a problem. She asked me how much it was for and when I told her she acted like it was the biggest inconvenience in the world instead of just kindly telling me to come back later because they didn't have enough money in the drawer. I'm completely appalled about this particular Post Office. I was to receive a PRIORITY MAIL envelope on Wednesday, which stayed in the Post Office all day without any movement. On Thursday the status read that the envelope is out for delivery since 6:10am and will be delivered by 7:30pm. As of 9:30pm the Priority Mail has yet to arrive again. On Friday at 12:43am the status reads "Awaiting Delivery Scan". Again, no delivery. With Priority Mail you gladly pay an additional fee to ensure that the important parcel you are sending is received accordingly. At this point in time, I am begging the Manager of this Post Office to please seriously take a careful look at all of the negative reviews and turn them around. read more

I collect USPS stamps, and every time I go in to query as to the latest stamps, the workers are ready to recommend their favorites and show the stamps they have in stock. Absolutely terrible. Zero stars. I had an item that wasn't delivered because it needed a signature (no office workers in my apartment building during COVID-19). The tracking went dead on the item after I tried to have it redelievered, so I had to check this office to see if it was still there and not mailed back. In three days, all different hours of the day, I probably called a total of 12 times. Nobody answered the phone, ever. I had to get a callback from the general customer service line, who said it was at this office, but my confidence was the definitely not great. So, I have to wait 2 hours in line, some of it out in the heat. There is ONE SINGLE person working with about 30 people in line. You could hear/see people in the back, taking a 2 hour break. These people finally came out once I was right up front. Some people took 20 minutes to get helped. It's like she was trying to be slow. Luckily, they did have my item. If they had shipped it back, and I had waited 2 hours in line for nothing (like the guy in front of me), I probably would have started throwing packages around like a wild animal. read more

I don't really have anything good to say about the Post Office in Fort Lauder dale. Since I moved here I've had tons of mail disappear off the face of the Earth from the Post Office (never delivered) 33301. Complained about it-nothing done, I even contacted the postal inspectors office and this is what they told me quote,"we do not perceive a crime has been committed, nothing we can do about it. So in my frustration I got a post office box at a closer PO to me and had my mail sent there with better results- ONLY Problem alot of places won't send your mail to a PO BOX....this of course presents itself with a whole new set of problems and the POST OFFICE will not do anything to resolve it- I really hate the PO office here! Now my old postman uses my unused box at my apartment to dump all his undeliverable mail in for me to deal withfunny huh. read more

I want to start off with a strong warning: NEVER, EVER, go to this postal office if you prefer to not have your information found in parking lot five blocks down from it. I am very diligent about dropping my mail, especially bills, into the mailbox inside of the post office. Last week, I did just this, to ensure that some random mail theft would hit up the outside mailbox, which is common this time of year. An hour and half later, I received a call from business five blocks from the post office informing me that the check enclosed in the sealed envelope was found floating around their parking lot. "Huh? Are you sure?" They responded "Yes" and proceeded to read my name, address, whom the check was made out to and the amount written on the check. "Huh? What? No?!" That's impossible because I placed the sealed enveloped in the mail slot located in the post office and watched it go in. After picking up my check, which was noticeably clean, free from any debris or dust that would be located on it, had it jumped out of the envelop and flew five blocks down, landing on the ground of a parking lot. The friendly security guard and former private investigator whom the check was given to suggested that I go back to the post office to inform the manager of this random occurrence and contact the postal police (Yes, there is such a thing as a postal police/inspector: 1-877-876-2455. Who knew!) Now this is where the story gets even crazier. I walked into the post office and was greeted by the friendly mail clerk. She contacted the manager as requested and he came out with that "I'm not in the mood" look on his face. After explaining what occurred, he immediately went into a rant, blaming me for the incident, questioning whether or not I sealed the envelop correctly and even suggesting that I contact my credit card company and bank to file a compliant. "Huh? What? Are you serious?! I think I know how to seal an envelop, as it was sealed at home and how can my bank and credit card company help me with a postal issue?!" I know there are tons of stereotypes about postal workers, but in my 25 plus years of mailing things, I have never come across this stereotype in person, but unfortunately I did. In addition to refusing to provide me his name, he also refused to provide me the information of filing a complaint/concern regarding the incident. I could not believe the treatment received. Needless to say, I was able to file the necessary compliant with the postal inspector service after locating the phone number online. With that being said, no matter how desperate I am to mail documents, I will NEVER, EVER go back to this post office and warn others not to as well. Lastly, Shout out to the Miami Shores Post Office and letter carriers who go above and beyond to provide exceptional service and to the postal inspector hotline and local postal consumer affairs employees who were extremely helpful when I filed my complaints about this incident! read more

Simply Terrible Service !! There is no sense of urgency or customer service whatsoever at this post office. Lazy, indifferent, uneducated, and incompetent employees. Every time I have to go here, my entire body tightens up with anxiety . I went here today to send an international letter. Both postal service employees were unsure how to do it, and what customs paperwork was even required !!! Employees here never say "Thank You" or "Hello" or even smile. Big, accessible parking lot. Mailing supplies for purchase were well stocked (often not the case at other locations). Staff was brisk, not babying people who were not ready or talking on their phones at the counter. And cheaper than most competitors! Would definitely return again. read more
