I travel for work so I go to a different laundromat every week. This was the FILTHIEST laundromat I…read morehave ever been to. The machines smelled musty and were covered in dust and dried detergent spills. The floors were disgusting. The folding tables are tiny and they were also covered in pet hair, drink spills, and food crumbs. Good thing I keep wet wipes in my laundry bag! Positives: very few machines were put of order. And there were plenty of carts and plenty of chairs. Prices were average, and the machines are nice newer models.

It was hot inside the building and there was no ventilation, which makes it really uncomfortable to fold hot laundry while sweating. That said the driver's license office is one of my least favorite places to go. I don't like to wait in lines and the new one in Chesterfield is a bad place. I had to drive out to my farm to take care of something on a Tuesday and knew I would be driving right past the Owensville, MO driver's license office so I brought the Real Id requirements with me and decided to give it a go there. I walked in around 11am and there was one older couple being waited on by both clerks. Score! I'm next. The lady who helped me looked over everything I had to make sure I had everything necessary and then asked me to have a seat while she got everything processed. She was polite and efficient. She was clearly a busy body and asked numerous personal questions to ascertain what I was doing in her office when I clearly lived in St. Louis County. I expect that in this small town and eventually I gave in after she realized my last name was the same as my uncles' who she apparently sees every morning at breakfast! Real ID ordered and one more thing to check off my list. It was $12 since I was replacing a current driver's license and not renewing as mine doesn't expire for four more years. I'll be back!
