On the other had, with dozens of packages shipped from either UPS (the former Mailboxes Etc.) in Nashua or the FedEx (the former Kinkos) in Nashua, I have always experienced professionalism, courtesy and appreciation for my business. I struggle to understand how the owner of this company can stay in business. While I'm a major proponent of doing business with small, locally owned companies, I will never give another cent to this one. It's a shame, but I would rather drive the extra distance so that I don't have to help to keep him in business.

My husband and I had been renting a home for many years. Throughout the years came many life changes, some good, some not so good. So when we found ourselves in one of the "not so good" moments of our lives, it was topped by learning our landlord was going to be selling the home. Due to health challenges with both my husband and I we knew this was the time to downsize. So the search began to find a way to get our home of many years cleared out. Our home that was not only filled with multiple large pieces of furniture, but also a pool table and air hockey table, etc. Our home that saw many family members move in and many family members move out. Our home that witnessed the joy of us welcoming new family members, and also our home that comforted us while we said our last good byes to others. We knew it would be a long and emotional road, but what we didn't anticipate was, it may be an impossible one. We had received 3 plus different estimates and began to panic. Due to health challenges affecting our financial situation, the estimates were not within our budget, not even close. We tried everything, we dipped into every penny saved, we sold many items we no longer needed on different platforms. Unfortunately, things were not moving quickly enough and we were running out of time. The panic, anxiety and fear of not being able to keep my word to my landlord would lead to many sleepless nights. I'm a firm believer in a persons word! It's all we all have at the end of the day. Then I stumbled across Hiott Waste Management, the owner, TJ's Facebook page. I noticed we had a mutual friend, and she gave him a glowing recommendation. So I reached out, I figured what do I have to lose? May be he would have a different viewpoint of the situation? Well, I am so extremely happy I did! Not only was his pricing EXTREMELY FAIR, he was very empathetic for our situation. Hiott Trux waste managements owner TJ has GREAT communication, he was always keeping us updated on dumpster deliveries and pick ups. He is extremely accurate with his estimates, to the penny! NO HIDDEN COSTS! He is dependable, reliable and extremely hard working! On top of this, he's always smiling and happy, with a sense of calmness about him that was contagious. I just knew the moment I met him, things were going to be OK! The bottom line is, if it were not for TJ with Hiott Trux Waste Management I would not have been able to keep my word to my landlord and leave our home of many years empty and spotless! Even the one that gave 3 stars gave a glowing review, just read it. My experience last June 2020 was initially frustrating as a new driver attempted to turn around in our driveway which is steep and put a small gouge in it. Within hours a "technician" named Mark showed up to assess the damage and recommend a resolution. He was very apologetic and eager to get it fixed as soon as possible. Within the week after painstaking hours of work the gouge was fixed and two sizable cracks to boot. I tried to give him and his helper a tip and he said no thank you. What I didn't realize until later is that Mark is the owner of MD Trash. I was very humbled that he did that. Especially after seeing him work for hours down on his hands and knees repairing cracks in my driveway that weren't even his responsibility. I tried to pay for both cracks but he only allowed me to pay him for one of them. He never even told me he was the owner, he was only intent on fixing the issue and making a customer happy. We moved to Bedford, NH 4 1/2 years ago and this has been the best customer service experience we've had the whole time we've been here. Heck, it's in the top 3 best customer service experiences I've had my whole life.

But this last time was quite a surprise. They are very competitive I made the transition very smooth. I gave him a second look because a good friend of mine said I just bought a new house and their tanks in the ground. I checked out the prices 30% less the Energy North. I have had Energy North for 25 years and consider myself loyal. Energy North stopped answering there phone or returning calls . Time to move on. Ciadelli were very professional and made it very easy to do business with them. So after waiting for my old tank be ready to be taken away, The day came on Friday. They came to deliver the new tank and were very professional. The staff seem to generally care! Ask me again for my opinion in 25 years

Then I saw Dead River advertising $2.39/gallon. When I called Matt about matching a better rate, he initially offered $3.79, and only matched Dead River's price after I said I was leaving. The final straw was a boiler service call: The tech replaced a thermocouple, but the issue persisted. Turns out, one of our two tanks (which they've filled for years) was empty--they forgot to fill the main house tank. We were without heat and hot water during a big family gathering from out of town. As a 'will-call' customer, I was told emergency delivery would cost extra, though they provided 100 gallons as a 'courtesy.' Worst part: The thermocouple wasn't faulty; the problem was the empty tank. Yet they still charged the full service fee for diagnosing their own delivery mistake. I've switched to Dead River (along with several friends and even some Ciardelli employees I've heard from). It's disappointing--wanted to support a local, family-owned business, but I felt treated more like a profit source than a valued long-term customer.
