Is there such a thing as a great DMV when you're there to pay the state and county fees and taxes…read morethat don't really ever make sense most of the time? So setting aside that most people would rather go see a dentist than go to the DMV let's just say this is one of the better ones. And it's all about the staff. I've lived in a bunch of states, so I've experienced a lot of mostly horribly run DMVs with angry, miserable, zombie workers. There is nothing fancy here, in fact, it's a rather plain office in a somewhat rundown area. But what makes it good is the great staff. Since I have to come in here every year, the 6-8 times I've been in have all been, well pleasant. The staff is patient, friendly, and fast. They up, look you in the face, smile, and treat you like a person. I guess that's all most of us want. Now could someone explain why MO requires you to pay property taxes on top of all the fees every year? Most states only charge a sales tax once and registration fees every year after that. No property taxes, its not a house!

After more excuses and another promise for the next day, I was blown off yet again. Do NOT recommend. I will never use this business again.

Our church used Crossroads Charters for a trip to Branson to see the musical Moses. I can't say…read moreenough good things about this company and the driver. Their rate was the most competitive we could find and Mr. Willard, the owner, was a gentleman to work with. The driver provided was named Doyle, and he was a gentleman as well. He took special care to make sure everyone was able to get on and off the bus easily and helped everyone. Some of our group had walkers and wheelchairs. Doyle made sure each person was safe getting on and off the bus. I can't say enough good things about this company. Next time we need a bus, we know who to call!

Worst experience. I had written a Google review earlier about how bad the experience was on a…read moreschool trip to Florida as a chaperone. So many things went wrong. Drivers arguing, air conditioning going out, not stopping where and when the Chaperones wanted to stop. (Stopped at a very small gas station with 1 bathroom for about 100 people, and no place to eat except 1 subway restaurant ) The worst of all was breaking down with 100 students on the side of the Highway at night and not getting another bus for a 20 hour drive back. We then had to crowd on the other two busses and never got reimbursed for the broken leg of the trip. After the google review was posted the owner said he would reimburse the school if I took down my post, I decided to do that. I went ahead and took the post down in good faith thinking they would make it right but it never happened. It is now over two years after the trip and the school still has not been reimbursed. Good luck with this company but I definitely would never suggest them or trust them.

Half machines are single load with other half double load with 4 or 5 three loads I belive. The place is small but early in the morning their are three people here. There…read moreare a few good ones out there and I guess for the area this supposed to be good according to reviews. The front load washers are literally turning my stomach. I'm watching what is supposed to be cleaning my clothes sweep others dirt and filth from the door into my wash cycle. I avoided other washers because I could see dog hair and cigarette buds in the washer. I missed the door seals otherwise I would have left and drove to Springfield where I normally wash my work bedding at the Wash House there. (They have a sanitize/pre wash cycle on their washers.) I can't stop the cycle and feel like I would have been better off overstuffing my home washer than this. I don't know if it's owner or the customers or both, but we should all take pride in keeping our things well and things that have been shared with us as customers.

Jasper County is named for Revolutionary War hero William Jasper. The city of Joplin is split…read moreacross Jasper and Newton counties because the city grew out of two separate mining settlements that developed on opposite sides of Joplin Creek in the early 1870s. When those settlements merged in 1873 to form Joplin, the new city naturally extended across the county line, and its boundaries have remained that way ever since. Jasper County's county seat and the main courthouse is in Carthage and it's worth a visit for classic old-school design. But as the county grew and as Joplin became a larger municipal presence in the county, it was felt that an annex closer to that population was needed. This courthouse in Joplin's city center is the annex, serving the Jasper County side and is a two-story steel, glass and concrete structure. It is modern and practical and utilitarian. The building's east wing features tall pillars supporting a broad flat roof, with blue-tinted glass that creates a sleek, civic presence. The west wing is defined by long, narrow windows and a clean roofline, emphasizing simplicity and openness. There is plenty of parking nearby. [Review 1489 of 2025 - 472 in Missouri - 25042 overall]
