I don't ever make reviews like this but it has gotten to a point. The pickup people constantly complain about the load of our boxes, never properly introduce themselves when going into our home, and at times- are understaffed. Had one guy complain about not having a second person and blamed our family on the weight of our boxes like we're responsible for the staffing issues. I also don't like how they constantly change their pickup schedule. We were told 3:30 and they came an hour earlier and was upset that we weren't home as if they didn't notify us sooner about their arrival. They aren't considerate of customer convenience or time. They clearly aren't hired or trained to interact respectfully to customers. We rarely interact with them now and still their behavior in our home just isn't it.

The staff here are exceptional, they can tell me best shipping options especially when I'm looking for option to save or when I'm looking to deliver on specific dates. This FedEx is also always kept neat, stocked with all your shipping supply needs, so if you just brought in an item with absolutely no cover or packaging, the staff can help measure and weigh and recommend best size box so that you don't have to do all that work. The lines can be long during holidays and on weekday lunch hours but staff always have smile on their face and have the courtesy to say "thank you for waiting." I know that might be expected in customer service, but when they're literally doing five different things at once with some impatient customers, such appreciative and positive attitude is tough to present for anyone. Shipping can be stressful for most people but FedEx Lakewood staff help me feel less stressed. They just installed drop-off station inside for prepackaged and prepaid labeled shipments so if you already have something that's ready to go, you can drop it off without standing in line. Also, if you have QR code or Bar code from email, I think the label can be printed here too. Lastly, I am a long time customer of their shredding service. They do it at a fair cost, on the spot to shredding bin, and it saves me from paper cuts and other injuries from taking out those crimply paper pieces from the shredding machine, if you know you know! ; ) Five star customer service here and the manager here is one of the best I've seen. They said the online instructions say it's a "Customer Pack", which means the customer packs it. Last time they said this, I asked what that means and they said it could not have any business logos or photos on the box. So this time my box was completely blank save for one sticker, which I suggested I could remove. I was told I could not ship it and that it had to be packed in another box. So, once again I drove to the University Place UPS store and they took my box. I asked if there are any restrictions on the box I ship something back in, they told me only if the box is too big then it is considered an oversize. I should have known they would do this because it isn't the first time. So, save your money and go to the UP store. Unless you want to be lied to and forced into buying their boxes out of convenience.

I had to get the medication for 3x the price, since she held my package hostage because I didn't open a mailbox there. Long story short they will gouge you for your money. It seems easy to order stuff online these days but I tell you, no business like Office Depot comes in clutch when you need that ink toner, shipping supply (AND shipping service), copy services, aaaand office furnitures and tech stuff last minute. They offer competitive pricing on all their goods and they also price match on ink toners (must be exact same product and brand of course). They also have stuff on sale for seasonal goods, always have office supplies in the clearance section so stop by there before going to look for the regular price stuff! What is most important for me, as with any in-person shopping experience, is customer service. This Office Depot at Lakewood Towne Center has the most helpful staff who are knowledgeable for your tech and office needs. The aisles are clean and well stocked, easy to walk around to find what you need. Did I mention they offer USPS, FedEx mail service here? Lorrrrrt I was born today when I learnt this. If you're not able to print your label for prepaid USPS label and you know that trip to USPS just for them to scan and print that label for you is gonna be like a trip to the DMV, come to Office Depot! After living in this state for almost literally forever and at different residences, I had the…read moreunfortunate situation with my mail carrier at my place after I moved there last summer, would give me my mail and then some but return at least 5 packages that were necessary and important in their own way. I stopped by when I checked in via yelp to correct the situation. On a late Saturday morning, spent about a hour in line and the ladies were kind and helpful but was told a few times I would need to fill out a green form to receive all my mail and that it would take 2 weeks to complete. I told her that Ive moved countless times and never had an establishment or a carrier not give that info or provide a form to me, as usps online is easy to update as is. Unfortunately the saga stretched up until last week when another package was returned after the fact and I called to usps to escalate the issue. The reply from the Lakewood office was quick enough but strange as the supervisor in email didnt acknowledge the error with her front end staff and carrier, didn't apologize the green form I signed was lost or for her carrier being petty and not giving the form in my mailbox as they should have been. Even us leaving notes for the carrier, it kept going. However they had me sign it again with now the carrier giving me a green form in my mailbox. Ive had at least 3 other corporate carriers find me (Amazon, FedEx, Trackit) multiple times since being here yet it seems the stigma of USPS precedes this location as well. Lately last few packages have arrived since then yet Im still a bit apprehensive every time! If theres a reply from usps on here, Im happy to share more receipts :)
