I sent 2 barrels down this past Christmas something i have never done and will NEVER do again not because of Feurtado but because that is the busiest time of the year for shipping. I received a text that both of my barrels were ready to be picked up a week after the estimated arrival. I was ok with that because I had just got to Jamaica so it was perfect timing. But, when we got to the wharf only 1 barrel was brought out to me. They were unable to find my second barrel so you can imagine my panic. The men there were very helpful and tried to find it but were unable to. I was in there for at least 3 hours waiting until I finally went to Feurtado who is located in the next building. The agent immediately called the wharf and instructed them to view the video because my barrel is there. When i went back to the wharf one of the men helping me said they found my barrel. Feurtado even called me the next morning to make sure everything was ok. I think the people who are complaining about missing items are blaming the wrong people. It's not Feurtado shipping who is stealing your items. The thieves are in the wharf !!! They are taking your items right in your presence. If you squint your items will disappear! Since 2001 items would go missing and I wouldn't realize it until after I reach the house and start unpacking the barrels. When customs agent and those men who work at the wharf would unpack my things i SEE the items but like i said when i reach the house the same items that i KNOW i saw being unpacked would no longer be there. and now since covid19; customs agents say that you must stand away from them while they go through your things and have the men repack them. So you done know already what may or may not happen when other people are repacking your things while you are just a few steps away from them. They move quick and their hands move even faster so try not to squint while they are going through your things! and the messed up part is that after they have stolen from you, they expect you to give them a 'fish head' for helping you! This is the first time nothing went missing from my barrels I guess it's because by the time I got my second barrel many of the workers and agents were getting ready to leave for the day. I know the soldiers who were there emptying out EVERYTHING in people barrels had left for the day thank GOD!! So, I was allowed to stand right there as my barrels were being inspected. please don't get me wrong not all of the men are thieves but just watch out and stop blaming Feurtado because they aren't the ones stealing from you. At least i hope not.

Then, after the stuff is en route, they told us it's never guaranteed. Furthermore, they cannot even guarantee a delivery "window" which is very weird and they stated the window is a "courtesy" - They charged extra after loading due to "exceeding volume space" but we communicated exactly what we need to ship in the quote (how many boxes and what furnitures). Shouldn't this be the entire purpose of quoting before signing? - Everyone in this company has poor communication except the sales (but then the sales is trying to trick you). Never followed up on the estimated time line even if the original time provided is past (multiple times). We, as a customer, had to almost beg them for updates. Even after the 7-10 days window has past, they failed to update on a timeline. In summary, everything could've gone wrong went wrong. Will never work with them again. Please do not get tricked.
