I think Saturday hours are curtailed perhaps they are now closed on Saturdays but they are convenient on weekdays. One of the best PO's I've ever frequented.

With large,…read moresingle-paned glass windows across its facade and an institutional decor within, it harks to an era of utilitarian architecture at a cost-effective price point. There are no ionic column or fancy inscriptions here, just a no-nonsense approach to what a post office should look like. In the 1970s. The facility could be placed in a time capsule to show future generations what a post office looked like in the final years of the 20th century, for good or bad. Inside, the post office functions relatively well. Not at a breakneck pace like ... well, I'm having trouble thinking of any post offices that fit that description. But it's not as plodding as others, and its convenient location (for me) will definitely keep me coming back, even though there's no automated postage machine or extended hours. For that, you'd need to go to South Orange, which I'd happily do if my needs called for it. I love post offices, and this one feels a bit more nostalgic than most I've visited recently. I also love efficiency, but I do appreciate a live person who can answer all your postal-related questions!

The Union, NJ Post Office is almost certainly the absolute WORST in NJ, hands down. Over the past…read moreseveral years I have had numerous, and I mean numerous, packages never delivered, lost or misplaced, delivered to the wrong house, and on and on and on...... it has got worse and worse each year to the point where we have now entered Pathetic and Ridiculous territory. Just this past week, they have claimed to have "Delivered" to my house 5 packages, 4 on Monday 7/27/26 and 1 today on 8/3/26, none have actually showed up. Also, this is not the work of Porch pirates or Theft, as we have proof of that. Nope, just the continued hiring of LAZY, INCOMPETENT and PATHETIC morons, from the Postmaster on down to the incredibly horrendous Mail carriers, who are more interested in talking on their cell phones or listening to music in headphones than actually concentrating on the correct house to deliver the mail to. What's funny is we have our house number in big numbers, right on our Mailbox at the front door, and yet, they still screw up. My advice is if you live in Union, NJ, don't use them, I often go to another town over to ship, and if you have packages to be sent to you, my advice is to tell the Sender to use UPS or FedEx. You will save yourself a lot of heartache.
