It went to Birmingham to Huntsville, BACK to Birmingham and said that it was on to the next facility. Where this "next facility" is, who knows!?! And don't even blame the weather. No direct phone number, no help in person and horrible drivers. They repeatedly mark my orders as undeliverable and send them back. My house is clearly marked and accessible. The drivers seem to be to lazy to be bothered getting out of their vehicle so they mark it as "front door inaccessible" and return to sender. Too bad this is a government organization and there's not any repercussions for them neglecting to do their job otherwise they'd all be fired. read more

They said my package couldn't be delivered due to incorrect address. Checked on Amazon to be sure it was correct and of course it was correct, because I never changed it. Whoever tried to deliver just didn't know what they were doing or was lazy. And then they sent it back to the sender the same day. Furious! I haven't had any problems with any other deliveries. Thankfully, Amazon is helpful and more competent. read more

Mail and packages are always late in this area because drivers like to park, sit, laugh and giggle on their phones forever at your location instead of just delivering the mail. I don't understand that type of work ethic. If I or anyone else did that at a job, we'd be fired. It is not acceptable in the slightest. read more

No one answers the phone. Was waiting for a package, got notice that the package was available to pick up. So I walked to the post office in snow, an African American clerk was very rude, did not bother to look, simply asked me to go back and the package was not ready. He also promised that the package would be delivered the next day, of course, that did not happen. The website still shows the package is available, But, I never know, since no one picks up the phone. During normal circumstances, such business would have gone underbelly. I ordered a package off Amazon (paid extra for faster delivery). Day it was supposed to arrive, my carrier pulled in my driveway & handed me my mail 2 smaller packages with my kids school supplies. My furniture piece was missing. So I tried calling the main office. Rings then sends to an operator that NEVER answers. I waited 30 mins. At this point I'm angry. So I had to call the 800 & listen to a robot and set up redelivery. Despite I was HOME when they "tried". Next day. No delivery. Instead I got a piece of paper saying that it was a 2-person lift delivery and again I had to set up a delivery. So now I'm p*ssed. Again I called the 800 and had to listen to guy that BARELY spoke English (US postal sending jobs overseas). And he spoke over me and got smart in said I wanted to speak to someone else. 45 mins later, still on hold. *But I could pick it up myself*. So I drop 30 mins to post office. One worker was there. She took my information and then said she could have it loaded into my car. Guy brings it out. Shows me on the box where there's a 2 person lift image. Said it's in their contract not to lift it if it has that. So instead she just left me the ticket. Said and I quote "most of the carriers out in the county are girls and they can't or won't lift the items that are heavier so they leave the ticket". NOW. Explain to me how that's NOT in the job description to be able to lift items for delivery. The furniture was an end table that was 30 pounds. So she couldn't lift that? Or knock on my door and say "this is an oversized item and I, personally, can't lift it?! Oh yeah...didn't mention that I'm expecting and I'm high risk, so I CAN'T lift it either...which is why I paid for the porch delivery. Now...where is that equality job expectations? Where you have to do the job youre paid for? If women cannot fulfill the job requirements out for the county then they DON'T deserve the job! Give it to a man that can actually do it! Noone ever answers the phone. It still shows that only the prepaid package has been printed. I watched the postal worker pickup the packages off my porch, but the packages were never logged in. This has cause a HUGE problem with my Ebay account and now my customers are requesting refunds. Im disabled and its very hard to go to the post office but I will have to go becuase im going to lose hundreds of dollars over this. My best advice is to NEVER use USPS for anything valueable. Not very well organized but better than others in the area and very nice staff. Also the several flights of stairs can be a pain carrying packages but it's not their fault. read more

This is by far the WORST post office that I have EVER had the displeasure of being forced to use. This USPS consistently loses and misplaces my mail and this is the 7th time that they have put my mail in the wrong box. Sometimes they give me a key that leads to a box with another key that leads to another box to another key and that final key leads to nothing. They give me the wrong key for it and when I try to call I end up calling 10 times before I reach anyone. Their phone message is uninformative and doesn't help. The phone has an error to where 3 out of 4 calls are given a static dial tone and dropped. They deliver mail past closing time so if they do screw up it is impossible to reach them. I have written two notices to have my mail delivered to the door. I have talked to supervisors, the mailman, and I have even tried to call the USPS hotline (which is a joke because you can't get a real person on the phone even if you try). I would not wish this insanity on my worst enemy. I absolutely hate everything to do with this place. They are lazy, they all have attitudes, and they couldn't care less about the one job they have: DELIVERING MAIL. read more

I have been trying for a full week to get answers and coupons, which are not being delivered. I allowed for the holiday, and notification in the mailbox to get results. The flag was put down on Tuesday, and the note to the postman was still in place, stretched across the inside front of the box. Wednesday, the flag was put down, and the note was gone. Still no coupons, yesterday or today. Calls are unanswered. The next step is a personal visit to the postmaster. Neighbors verified, they all "used to get" coupons. Here is the thing...someone pays to have these coupons printed, WE pay to have the mail delivered, and when a postman is derelict in his responsibilities, month after month, there should be some effective course of action to correct this problem. The problem is in E.Florence, at my son's residence, but it may be a systemic problem on more than one street. What other mail is not being delivered? I suspect this postman is a slacker. read more
