Wow! Paul Ivey is absolutely the most unprofessional individual I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Responded to a simple question about status with a very defensive childish attitude. Will NOT mail original proofs of service even though you will have already paid for the service. Has his wife in the background snarking along with him while he berates you for asking about your service details! Was rude, belligerent, abusive, unprofessional, hostile, yelling, insulting, I could go on for a while but I would run out of adjectives. Avoid at all costs, especially if you value timeliness, professionalism, and communication when it comes to serving important legal documents. Paul Ivey responds to simple questions such as "Could you update me on the status of getting the following five defendants served please?" or "Could you please send me an affidavit of service for the defendant who you told me you served two weeks ago?" with obnoxious one sentence e-mails in all caps that leave you guessing. COMPLETE AND TOTAL RIPOFF! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!! Yelp should not require you to use a perfectly good star on a bad business. I contracted with Allied Investigative Services to serve legal papers to a litigant in my family law case. They quoted a seventy-five dollar fee for service of the paperwork. They then arbitrarily tacked on a fifty dollar fees for proof of service which would verify they had served the paperwork. That verification would need to be mailed back to me as it would be necessary proof of service in a court of law. They did not ever serve the paperwork, nor substantiate any efforts they made to perform to make contact with the litigant. I repeatedly made inquiries as to their progress, as the documents were time sensitive. I had to reset my case twice due to their incompetence. They would return my inquiries a day or three later with vague representations as to what was happening, and they kept assuring me they were getting the job done. I had to use an alternate means of service because they completely failed! When I asked them two months ago to return everything back to me, they said they would and they would invoice what work they actually did perform. They instead just cashed the check for the full amount. They never sent a follow-up invoice. They never substantiated any work they actually performed. They never mailed back the paperwork they said they would return. They never sent me proof of services ($50 worth of work). They just cashed the original check I had mailed to them which included the full price for full services rendered. They then refused to refund any money for services they failed to rendered, including the two returns of service which they charged the additional $50 for. They basically never did anything and took advantage of the fact that I live several states away and depended on them to be honest and do the work and charge a reasonable fee for work actually performed. They then claimed that they mailed returns back to me, which of course was a lie, and said they will mail them "again." read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I deal with multiple out of state process servers and this is the worst one I have dealt with yet. I sent over a Summons to serve which was received on 1/16/18... I heard nothing for over a month... then it was a begging to give them more opportunities because in 5 weeks the server only made 4 attempts. I was then told it was served on 2/22/18, and Affidavit of Service reflected a Different date. I was told the delay in getting the Affidavit which by the way it is now 3/6/18 and I still don't have the original, was due to the server not having a scanner due to it being a rural area.... Are you kidding me.... I guess technology hasn't reached these people who live in the stone age. Don't waste your money if time is of the essence at all!!! read more
