The drivers seem to be to lazy to be bothered getting out of their vehicle so they mark it as "front door inaccessible" and return to sender. Too bad this is a government organization and there's not any repercussions for them neglecting to do their job otherwise they'd all be fired.

Their people are what make the difference. I recently encountered a problem with another post office in Brooklyn, NY while shipping some items. Even though it was the fault of the NY post office, the Red Bay Post Office took up the slack and made it right. I could not ask for better service than what I have experienced here. It's difficult for me to give a 5 star rating for something called U S Government, but in this case I'll make an exception!

I was told that with Priority shipping you are only paying for the Tracking Number, the 2-3 day delivery is not guaranteed and that the only way they do guarantee the delivery is if you overnight it. Three times recently during the middle of the week I have went in to mail a package in the middle of the day only to find the doors locked up and closed on a non-holiday. Today I drove about 25 miles to another post office to do business. Nobody at the other post offices seem to know why Russellville's is oddly closed during the week. I didn't even know it was legal for the post office to do this.
