I called the location directly explaining my situation and begging to please keep the appointment. They told me there was a 5 minute grace period otherwise I'd have to reschedule. I made it by the skin of my teeth. I had the form printed out, my passport card, the lost /stolen form because I lost my book in a move, a copy of my marriage license, social security card, and birth certificate. As well as the originals for all. I also already had my photos taken and present as well. I was then told that because I had the wrong form filled out that they couldn't help me and that I had to make a new appointment because they didn't have the time due to the next appointment at 11am. The "11am" did not show. So I walked back in at 11:05am asking if the 11am was available. A man at the counter aggressively told me "we don't do that. If you missed your appointment you have to make another one." The manager, the lady processing passports and that man were all standing around socializing, doing nothing when i came back in and there were no customers to be waited on besides myself. This was after the manager told me that she was on a call and I didn't have everything ready so she couldn't help me either. The dismissiveness, lack of customer service, engagement and empathy was frankly some of the worst I've seen. Not to mention the superiority complex and rudeness was unnecessary.

I stood in line and as soon I got to the window the employee suggested me what envelope to buy. I bought the envelope and proceeded to add my documents in the envelope that I bought and starting to close the envelope. The employee stated that I need to purchase a standard grade water activated reinforced packing tape. I asked if she provided the tape or does the USPS sells it! She proceeded to tell me to go to Staples to purchase it because they do not sell it or provide it. I went to Staples and found a stronger reinforced packing tape which I purchased it and returned to the post office. I got back in line and saw the same employee who told me to go to Staples. I started using the tape I purchased and she told me that it is the wrong tape and the post office will not ship my envelope. I got real frustrated and angry with her. Another female employee overheard our conversation and got me a piece of the tape I needed to purchase. The 2 employees not only lied to me, but send me to a goose chase all over Fayetteville County in Peachtree City to find that specific tape that their USPS policy states. That post office and those 2 employees had the tape in hand, but failed to help this customer to expedited my shipping needs. I asked them why they did not sell the tape in rolls? They sell envelope,boxes,stamps,etc, but not tape. One of them told me I had a hostile attitude! I told her I was frustrated and angry at their customer service! I took my business to Newnan post office and they helped me with my shipping need and they had that tape! If I could give one more less star I would! They are rude, lazy, and truly have no business working with the general public. Many packages that make it to this post office are going missing before ever getting scanned. They ask the community to leave packages in an unsecure area where anyone from the general public can access and take the packages from the bin after they are left by customers. Many of the employees are rude and argumentative. If you are able, the smartest thing that you can do is avoid this post office altogether and go to the nearby Winston post office.

I have been here for countless things over the years from pick-ups to drop offs, to claims to address updates. Never had any issues with service. The processes can be cumbersome, but that is just the government end of it. Given its size and location, this place stays busy, so there are never any "quick trips" in and out here, especially on the weekends, so give yourself time. Parking is plentiful and the overall layout inside and out is easy to navigate. Overall, decent USPS office location.

I arrived around lunch time and it was pretty busy but the line moved faster than any other post office I've been to, the ladies are efficient. There is free street parking and several spots in their parking lot, it is a very tight space and I'm thankful I drive a compact car. The worker that checked me out was pleasant. I was a little confused by them not placing a fragile sticker on my package although I answered yes to the fragile question. I asked and was told they don't apply a fragile sticker but I've been to other offices and they have. I'm thankful my package arrived to the recipient on time and not broken.
