Shout out to William at the Bellevue Post Office. I needed to replace my passport and he walked me through every step quickly and efficiently. I was in and out within less than half an hour. It's a good idea to ask questions about what you need before you plan to start the process. William gave me the forms I needed the day before so I filled them out at home. Some people do the process online, but I wasn't able to figure out where the forms were online. I already had my picture so I didn't need to do that. I've been going to the Bellevue Post office for decades with service varying drastically over that time, so I had a hard time figuring out how to rate it. And to be clear, I am rating the experience at the post office building at 2609 Victoria Avenue, not the delivery service to my home (which has also varied greatly over the years). Since my last several visits over the last year have all have all resulted in good to excellent service experience, I'm putting more weight on the recent trips than some of the horrible experiences I've had in the past. The difference is some of the obviously burnt out/stressed out clerks that worked at this location are gone, and new employees who are a lot more customer friendly are now working with customers. On my latest visit, I was amazed to see that there was absolutely nobody in line, which I have never experience before at any post office. The employee who served me was friendly and efficient. I appreciate that the USPS now accepts contactless payments and have worked out most of the bugs with their online tracking system. I do as much of my correspondence digitally as possible, but some things I still need to do at the USPS, so it's nice that service is improving. read more

I shipped a package to Papillion NE 4 days ago, estimated to be delivered 2 days ago. As of now, it's in a metro NY distribution center. I had to repeat the issue 3 times, then was told by a supervisor that yes, I am right, for some reason it's in NY. Was told it "will get there eventually" (but I'm not confident of even that). Also, I'm getting all of my neighbors' mail here recently. Boy, this organization has really gone downhill (but prices keep going up). read more

I am not complaining about the service, per se, which is always very good for a local post office branch, but rather that a postal employee was walking about the lobby coughing openly, uncovered as she "helped" people with the postage machine and holiday package drop. Her cough was rough and each time she hacked, the people in line would turn to look at her in amazement that she was just standing there in a lobby full of people just letting it fly, not bothering to turn away, not isolating, not even masked. I got out of there as fast as I could, but not before being within feet of the cough as she checked in with those of us in line. I stay at home most of the week for work, so I don't encounter many people in close proximity these day, and five days after this visit, I now have a cough and have tested positive for Covid. I truly have no doubt this was my exposure and hope that she and other postal workers will just stay home when sick. Have we learned nothing about the importance of self-care and respect for others' health? read more

I haven't received any mail in almost 3 weeks because whoever runs me my mail marked my apartment as vacant. WTF. My grandmother has been buying my tags and registration over and over again because my mail has been disappearing into thin air. I called a week ago and asked if I had any mail being held up at the postal office and they said "ooh, don't have anything for you"... y'all didn't wanna tell me the carrier listed my apartment as VACANT. I didn't even get clarification until I went up there and spoke to them in person. Apparently they're supposed to give you a "vacant slip" and I never got it. I check me mail DAILY?! My bank statements get sent to my address as well and they just disappeared... isn't that great? Someone out there probably has my bank information. YAYYYYY read more

Welcome to the absolute worst post office! I keep fighting with the home delivery route. When I first moved in the mailman made it a point to have our names on the box to aid them. Not a problem. Forward three years later and I still get mail for the previous occupants even after dropping it back off here at the station with "Not At", "No Longer At This Address", etc. Yesterday I get my 401k statement from the secretary. Post office marked it as undeliverable no address known. And it was the correct name and address since three years ago. I have filled 2 complaints online without any feedback or any follow up at all. Really wish the downtown station on Pacific St had kiosk or longer service hours to help avoid this place. This station does not even try to deliver Certified Mail or packages, just easier to drop a pink notice card in your box than to actually do their job. The staff is very rude and short with you. If you don't wish to deal with the public, get out of customer service. read more

I wonder if USPS even reads these? We used to have the best mail carrier for years! He retired and service went downhill. The first issue was that the new carrier was frightened of our dog even though his perimeter would not allow him close. However, I did keep dog during usual mail delivery time. Second issue was a new carrier and mail would come at all different times but usually very late. Now we have not received mail for several days. A note was put in the box stating our home was listed as "vacant". LOL, we're still here. I called post office and she was pleasant but offered no explanation or apology. "Put your name on the note and the carrier will pick it up." Why do I not trust the USPS? read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!! Our regular mail man Tom is fantastic but we have way to many subs. The subs do NOT know what they or doing or simply just do NOT care. They have dropped our outgoing mail 2 blocks away and a neighbor found them and brought them back to us. They never check for outgoing mail and over the weekend you are lucky if they actually deliver your mail. Then when you try to catch them to take your outgoing mail these subs act like its an inconvenience. Rude, Lazy & incompetent subs! The usps won't make it another 20 years with service like this. read more

I can not disagree with any of the other reviews for this post office. I have lived at my address for 20 plus years. The names at my house have not changes in 20 plus years. However over the years my mail has been returned to senders saying undeliverable as addressed very often. When we do get the mail from the sender and you look at it there is nothing wrong with it. Over the years I have heard all sorts of excuses: oh that is a training route or oh it must be someone new. You don't get to decide who lives at an address. If the mail is addressed correctly deliver the mail. My other issue is I routinely get mail that is addressed to a church exactly one block away. Let me tell you my house does not in any way resemble a church. It is just lazy government employees who don't seem to care. read more

I am very disappointed with the mail service in my area! There has been many days that my mail doesn't arrive until 6, 7, or even 8 pm. I don't like that my mail gets delivered so late that sometimes it gets left in the mailbox all night, especially with the holidays, and all the theft going around lately. I also have medications that get delivered straight to my home. If someone steals my meds? What then?? I think they need to get it together, and deliver at a reasonable hour, or hire someone that can deliver on time! read more

Wow, I've read the reviews. I have lived here for only 2 years. However, all of my needs have been met at this post office. I am an American Citizen, born in the US. It's odd, how easy it is to degrade an organization or a person online, I get it freedom of speech, regardless of which human(s) are impacted. Somone's spouse or son, father, no one is off limits. I've worked those countries were we are followed and every conversation is listened to, it's not a secret. I love our freedom. I'm grateful that we haven't experienced major set backs in city wide services, sure snow piles up, but I get my mail. While serving this country, I've been to so many other country's where you have to pray for mail. Other times no mail will come to your home, you wait for someone flying in or out to be kind enough to get packages to your parents thousands of miles away off the beaten path. I'm not saying anything awful about people who express their opinions. I'm just saying I'm grateful and we have a lot to be grateful for in America in general. What an awful place! I'm a pretty reasonable person when it comes to benefit of the doubt but good lord...To be fair, several of the workers do a fine job but my experience was ruined by Ted. During my last visit, I walked in approx 20 mins before closing and had 5 small packages to ship internationally. Ted proceeded to pause, look at the stack of envelopes, look at me, roll his eyes, look at his watch (it was approaching closing time, god for bid), let out a long sigh and then said, "ughhhh, this is going to take forever." This grown man literally through a little tantrum. I'm sorry, IT'S YOUR JOB! I didn't make you work there. Not sure if USPS has a customer experience program but Ted needs to be sent through ASAP! Also, Ted decided to start an anti-Obama rant with the two customers in front of me, leading to them loudly complaining our President. Are you kidding me!? You're a federal employee, Ted! read more
