A few others came and hour later and it was still quiet. While the hearing was going on, I sat in the waiting area and talked to the individual providing security. He is actually part of Homeland Security, he's not a contract business. Found that interesting. He was a great guy, passed the hour and half pretty fast chatting with him since it wasn't busy. Place is clean. There was another older gentleman on the other side of the sliding glass window answering phones. That was sort of weird actually, he was a bit loud even even with the window closed. Building is nice. Not sure it's age, tho it doesn't look old. Been well kept. Exterior shares a cobblestone drive courtyard with a high rise hotel. It's really pretty out there with all of the trees. If you come here, it's because you have to, it's not a place to recommend as it's not an elective place to attend. Tho, if you do have to come, it's a pleasant experience.

Here's the kicker, at some point a certified birth certificate is not acceptable? Go figure.. She was told needed a doctor's statement with name & dob signed & stamped!! Kid you not! The response to shock was "I don't know this is you" This says welcome FRAUD. We all know there are bad actors in every profession. So you could create multiple versions of identities. Sent request to Doctor office, stated had to be stamped. Finally got the letter, no stamp (they don't have one) Went right back, 20-25 minutes later process completed. Birth Certificate works to get a passport (at least it did) Can you think of any reason it would not be accepted for replacement SS Card & since when? Oh! If you are trying to get SSD for anyone this after 400+ days. 1st thing I heard when I got a person is well you know Covid-19 backlog! Oh, if you know you live in Dallas County, but one of the staff tells you it might be Collins or whatever else, be patient and ask them to check again. Last year I lived at the same place, came here to get my registration, didn't have any problem. This year, I was told my zip code belongs to Collins County. The zip code is 75287 btw, and it's right on the borderline of 2 counties. Eventually she agreed with me that yes, the address belongs to Dallas County. Also, make sure you bring cash, if you don't want to get charged for using debit/credit card. The fee is min $3.5 up to 2% I believe.

I hosted a baby shower for my daughter here in their community room. It's located right off of…read moreValley View. The room is preset in classroom style with tables and chairs to seat up to 24 people. Fortunately the design is really smart, both tables and chairs are all on wheels so rearranging the set up is super easy. They rental policy states be sure to reset to classroom style upon departure. Basic food service is allowed. That was fine for a baby shower. As a heads up, there is no small refrigerator or microwave provided there's just a sink and counter space. We didn't need it for our event but there is a flat screen TV available in the room. If you want coffee you do have to provide your own Keurig or whatever. It's summer and we wanted lemonade so we set up one table with our lemonade, pizza and party snacks. Just make sure you tidy up before you leave. It's nice. Thank you FarmersBranch!
