But since 2020 most legal depositions and other litigation matters have been (98%) mostly conducted via Zoom. The most difficult and convoluted link to access a legal deposition via Zoom, belongs to Veritext . Every one of their different offices uses a type of page- long- link which offers so much information that further confuses the process. To log in one scenario you have to include all your information as to why you want to " join the proceedings" In another quest to get a link to join a Zoom procedure, Veritext asks for your password and log in information. But the menu does not give enough choices to be accepted. After emailing the email available to get a password, if you are a certified language service provider Veritext 's answer "MyVeritext portal is designed for legal professionals" Whenever I 'm assigned to a Veritext remote deposition, I already know it will be frustrating and regardless what day of the week it is ...will feel like a Monday morning.

Never use this company. I hired this company for court reporter services to handle several hearings…read moreand they consistently overcharged me. For example, in one hearing I specifically told them in advance that the hearing was to be conducted remotely via Zoom, but the reporter showed up in person anyway against my specific instructions. They then demanded an additional $792 for the personal appearance. They also demanded an additional $535 for a copy of the transcript. There are far better reporting firms who do not engage in this kind of behavior.
