There is a reason an attorney of this type markets himself as a "Christian". He feeds off his need…read morefor power/narcissistic fuel and takes advantage those who he sees as beneath him. After years of dedication to Tom Brownfield (previously known as Smart Law under Dean Smart), my family member was not paid for over 6 months of work. Not only have both Tom and his wife, Terrie, refused to pay the full amount due to my family member, but they adamantly deny that they have any wrongdoing of forcing an employee to wait over a year to be paid for their six months of office work. Tom continues to travel out of state, including Nevada, etc. All the while, my family member is unable to physically track down Tom to seek any compensation because he only lists only his office address and is working from other states, including Nevada. My family member is also overwhelmed and angry that they were swindled by Tom. Tom Brownfield is not fit to be a bankruptcy attorney for the "Christian" community, let alone anyone who is trusting and kind-hearted. Tom has made the statement to my family member that he has been "short on funds" for well over two years. How is a 'successful' OC attorney short on funds, anyhow? I will only remove or update this review after Tom has fully reimbursed my family member. Until then, Tom, you know what you need to do to prevent this from escalating to the State Bar of CA.

Going through a divorce is never easy, but working with Daniel Ramirez of Secure Mediations made…read moreall the difference. From our very first meeting, he created a space that felt safe, respectful, and focused on collaboration. His calm demeanor, deep empathy, and thorough knowledge of the process helped turn a potentially combative situation into one where both of us felt heard and fairly treated. Daniel guided us through each step with clarity, patience and unbiased suggestions, always prioritizing solutions over conflict. What could have been months of stress and confusion became a manageable, even empowering experience. Thanks to Secure Mediations we were able to reach an agreement that honored both of our needs and protected the well-being of our minor children. I can't recommend Secure Mediations highly enough to anyone seeking a peaceful, dignified resolution to a difficult chapter in life. Truly outstanding.

There's nothing better than a feeling of peace that overcomes you in an extremely heartbreaking time of your life. He is so compassionate, patient, knowledgeable, and most importantly truly wants to see the best outcome possible. As it became time to move forward with the divorce process, Judge Ramirez met with both of us via zoom (per our agreement) and kept the process flowing smooth. He remained neutral, yet informative. Not only were his fees very affordable, but he also referred us to an attorney who processed our paperwork for a very negligible amount. Both services saved us tens of thousands of dollars. I cannot recommend his services enough! His wisdom and warmhearted nature helped make the process palatable. I wouldn't hesitate in referring him to anyone!
